They were about to dismiss when Caleb suddenly called out to Aurora. Aurora who was about to get up and to continue on working, pause a little before she stand up straight. Looking at Caleb, she dreaded about the next question that will follow.
"How's your body?" Caleb asked in concern. And in instance the atmosphere turn heavy. Some seem to be holding their breath wanting to hear her answer. While some looking hopeful towards her. Aurora kept her mouth shut not wanting to give out the truth. She wished she could lie. But they will know. Especially Caleb. He's the famous Ghostly Doctor who can cure anyone. Bringing the dead to life.
"I fail again didn't i?" Caleb answer his own question. He turn gloomy. All that title is useless if he couldn't even cure Aurora. How much time will he have left? Can he even create a miracle? He was about to drown himself in misery when Aurora hug him stopping him from drowning any further.
"I'm still here aren't i? So you didn't fail. Having you by my side i won't easily die."
"Aurora!!!" All of them start to shout her name. Not liking to hear the word die coming out from her mouth. They knew they haven't found a cure for her body but they refuse to admit that time becomes their greatest enemy at the moment. Which is why they have been anxious for the past three years, when she's out of reach and they couldn't do anything except diligently provide whatever it is Caleb is looking for. Aside from taking care of company matters and observing her, they were busy searching any material for Aurora's cure. They were all aware of her past. The poison that her previous had been feeding her when she was small has turn into a deadly poison where it can not be cured. And to see how she would struggle to overcome the pain when it suddenly act up is heartbreaking. Although it rarely occur but once it does, they would rush to be by her side and keep on praying that she'll make it through. Many times it would lead her into coma. But she would wake up after two weeks. That's the longest period of time she went under coma because of that deadly poison. But it's never reassuring as they will never know what will happen the next it happen. They refuse to think about it which is why Caleb is feeling disheartened when he knew the medicine that he came up with still didn't give any effect towards Aurora. In fact the rest are feeling the same.
"Fine. I won't say that taboo word. I'm fine. I'm standing here, in front of you. We will have our lifetime together. No one can take me away from you. But..." Aurora try to liven up the dull pressure.
"No more but. That's enough. No one can take you away from us. We'll always be here for you." Tristan said sternly. Refuse to hear her saying another more sentence. It's a blessing to see her hear, alive and healthy. That's fine for now. They just need to work harder like they usually do. They just need to challenge their own limit.
"Right. And for now, we have other things to do. Let's not talk about this depressing matter at the moment. Later Carl will give us the info that we need and i need to check on something. And Caleb, i need your help. I want you to help him." By him, she meant Cole. Since Caleb is one of the genius doctor, she believe in his prescription.
"I'll go with you tonight. Tristan and Harrison will clear the area and move him to a secure room." Caleb said.
"And Zeus, you know i love you." Aurora said appealing. Zeus only rolled his eye. Knowing the reason for her to easily throw out the cheap sentence.
"You don't have to say it. I know. I'll go back to the company and sort out what needed to be done."
"Jacob, Aaron, Steven and Darren you can go do what you're suppose to do."
"Got it."
With that, they all left to their own place using their private helicopter. While Derek as usual would stay by her side. While waiting the night to come and news from Carl, Tristan and Caleb went to the kitchen to make dinner. Aurora went back replying emails and signing the papers that's piling on her desk. Close to midnight, they finally receive news from Carl and without delayed, they went off to City A Hospital.
