"Did she reach home?" "No she didn't !",
It was 9 and still she hadn't ;
Her Dad questioned in anger,her Mom replied with fear,
So worried she was, not even a knock she could hear.
Dad in anger opened the door,
What he saw,He couldn't think ever before;
Seeing his daughter, tears filled his eye,
It could not roll down,he couldn't cry.
She stood at the door, her body full of dirt,
And Patches of blood stained her skirt.
While she walked back home ,alone !
A voice called her in an ugly tone.
Horrified she asked "who are you?"
answered "Just a friend to accompany you"
Few more joined, so called friend
Touched her like no friend would intend.
She screamed, she begged, she cried to the
night,
The street was empty, no savior in sight.
Her pleas reached the stars, the distant moon,
But their silence returned, cold and immune.
"Dad, they touched my thighs, they touched my chest",
Her voice broke, unable to say the rest.
Her scars screamed louder than words ever
could,
"Mommy, I'm raped," she sobbed where she
stood.
Father felt the guilt, for a man was he,
Mother felt the pain, for a woman was she.
All her mom did was sit and cry
Wishing when her daughter was born,she would die
She cursed herself for a girl is her kid,
Hadn't she been a girl,she wouldn't face it.
Society abandoned her, what did she do?
Will justice prevail? Or will the law abandon her too?
