The next morning
all i could hear was the alarm clock that was set for 5:00 am when i got here last afternoon.
"I wish i had an extra hour of sleep.."
But i stopped complaining and got up.
I took my new school uniform out of a small suitcase.
As soon as i took off my shirt
i heard the door open...
"Kai are you awake y-.." kayla said as her face went bright red.
I never realised my face also went really red, this became so awkward "umm K-kayla w-what brings you here?"
I won't even think kayla was listening... As soon as i realised she was looking at my entire body, I ran for the nearest blanket and covered myself with it "Kayla! What the heck!Why were you inspecting my body like that?!?" She answered with "Kai... I never knew you were that muscular." I gave her a blank look and said "Im not muscular... What are you talking about?"
She came towards me and took the blanket off me and said "oh really... Let me show you. See? You are muscular and dont deny it" I wanted to give her an excuse but nothing came to my head "Kayla.. Why are you getting so happy over this?" She gave me a smile and said "Because even though you dont have an ability, you're still this strong. Even people with abilities aren't as strong as you.." As i looked down at her, i saw something really odd.. Her cheeks were pink as she was smiling . I was curious to know why her cheeks were pink " Uhh Kayla why are your cheeks pink? Wait! Dont tell me you're sick!" I put the back of my palm on one of her cheeks. She went really red. " You dont seem to be sick. Is there something wrong" She looked me straight in the eyes and said "I will tell you some day" After that, i asked her if she can wait outside while i get changed. As i got changed, I couldn't stop thinking why Kayla was red. I grabbed my bag and came outside to walk downstairs, to our classes.
"See you later Kai"
"You too Kayla"
When i stepped in my class i saw all the students messing about while the teacher was asleep. I came up to the teacher and said "uhhh Ma'am?"
She woke up and said "oh.. yeah. what do you want?".
That really annoyed me. We were supposed to be learning not messing around...
"Umm can you assign us a task?"
"Sure sure. You will be the only one getting a task though. none of the students will listen... Your task is to go out in the field and train your ability"
I was clearly hearing things. Right?
"umm i dont-"
She interrupted me and said "No excuses. Out you go"
I couldn't say no to a simple instruction from a teacher. "O-ok then.."
I walked out the door and made my way out to the field. How am i supposed to train my quirk if i dont have one??
I guess I'll just do laps around the field.
I ran around the field about 23 times untill i saw class 1-A coming ouside for ability practice. I saw Kayla, but..... she was talking to Jack! I hid behind a tree and saw that kayla wasn't actually talking to jack in a nice way. They had to go against eachother. I saw how determined Kayla was to win. Jack just stood there waiting for Kayla to attack. She ran towards Jack. And he was about to punch her as she came forward. But she used her other hand to create an explosion to dodge the attack. She landed behind him and used her other hand to create an explosion and attack him with it. He barely dodged her attack and used his electric powers to teleport and attack from the back. Kayla wasn't fast enough to dodge that attack and that was the first time i saw Kayla cry in pain. I clenched my fists and ran towards him.
