Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

"You wanna stay here for the night?" I asked. Crystal's eyes lit up.

"Don't tell my parents, they would never allow this," she said quickly. For a few minutes, everything seemed to be back to normal. We watched Netflix, laughed, and cried together. Maddie left a few minutes after we got back home, so it was just Crystal and I. My parents were on vacation for a week, so even they weren't home.

We were getting ready to go to bed, when I heard a knock at the door. Crystal immidetly grabbed a knife from the kitchen. I opened the door, revealing a boy who looked to be 15, even though he was very short. This was a my friend that I had grown up with, named Ayro.

"Hi, Raven. Something really weird has been going on for the past month," He said.

"Do tell," I responded.

He took a small booklet out of his pocket.

"Someone has been harrasing me for months. Leaving creepy notes, and stalking me," he said. he had a worried look on his face as he continued.

"They left this notebook in my house. It has some names in it, including yours. I think whoever is tormenting me might be after these people as well," he said, handing me the notebook. It had what looked like a Joker card on the front. It had all sorts of warnings, and a very clear name at the bottom. "Property of The Dealer," I read.

I opened the little notebook, and searched through it. It had different card symbols, and names underneath. I looked through the names. my name was there. Crystal's name. Ayro's name. Maddie's name. They were all here. there was one more name in the small notebook. Alex. Alex Molibias, someone with the same last name as Crystal.

Crystal was still holding the knife, and when she saw that I had invited the boy in, and put it back where she found it. Ayro introduced himself to Crystal. When he mentioned the name Alex, she froze.

"Alex... he... he's my twin brother. He... he was taken away when we were five," she said. I could see the tears forming in her eyes.

"Sorry I brought it up," Aryo said, pity in his eyes. Crystal looked at him, a sad smile on her face.

"Aryo, this isn't good, especially with those murderers on the loose," I said, bringing up the main reason why he was here in the first place.

"Murderers?" Aryo asked, a little confused.

"Did you not see the news? There have been multiple murders around town, and a few of the murderers have been spotted. Their faces weren't seen, though," I explained. I pulled out my phone, finding the news from a few days ago. It wasn't very detailed, it just described the victim and how they were killed. I had inside information, because of a very specific thing. I'm one of the murderers. I know that was quite sudden, but to hell with surprise.

It started a little while back, when I first realised my feelings for Crystal, and the fact that my best friend definatly doesn't like me that way. I could tell from the way she spoke, how she acted. Definatly not interested. I know that I don't have a chance with her at all. She is straighter than a ruler, that's for sure. It took a toll on me. Knowing that this girl was right in front of me, and I couldn't have her. I swore I would do anything for her, so I did.

There were these girls who always picked on Crystal, making her feel bad about herself, commenting in her weight, and she stopped eating for a two days. That's what made me snap. I picked them off one by one, luring them into my trap and bashing their skulls in with thick bat I call a club. I can still remember the extraordinary feeling that was produced when I heard their skulls cracking when I beat them to death. Blood everywhere. Now, I murdered people to cheer myself up. So when I was feeling depressed or angry, someone ended up dead.

"First, we should find my brother. Doing that might help," Crystal said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah, let's start with that."
