Chapter 2 - Maximum surching for the one.[Max]

I am Maximum and I am the ruler of the Pawā Nation. I had been told that a powerful person that could help bring this nation back to peace and glory would soon be in this area.

For the past few days I walk into a local Cafe in a city far from my castle home to wait. As I enter I accidentally bumped a young man.

"Excuse me." I said. When I looked into the boys face my heart skipped a beat. 'What the hell?' I say to him self.

I sit down at a table in the back to watch everyone coming and going hoping I just hope that I would recognize the person I was looking for.

"What can I get you today Sir?" The waitress asked.

"Coffee and Pie." I say.

She left and returned, sitting the mug and plate in front of me.

"Anyone new today Mary?" I ask.

"Just that boy who just left." she said.

"Not who I was looking for. He was no more then a teen. The Oracle said he would be in his twenties."

She shrugs and leaves me alone.

My mind then goes back to the boy who just left. 'Why am I feeling lust for a boy. I am not into men. Though I have nothing against men being together My best friend was married to another man and I think no less of him.

I shake my head and eat my pie. Then I feel a familiar present.

I looked up and seen a familiar face and smiled.

"Why are you here Adam?" I asked as my friend sits down.

"The Oracle sent me with a message. 'Find the one that many can't sees, trust in love for they will be'"

"What the fuck does that mean?" I yelled.

"Don't know I just repeated what she said, bro." Adam called Mary over.

"Do you have peach today?" he asked.

"Yes, you want coffee with that or a beer?" She said. He said coffee and she left.

"So I guess your going to turn out like me." Adam teased.

"Shut the fuck up moron. Who could the boy who no one sees be?"

They waited all day and seen many warriors come and go.

When night started to fall the young boy came back in. Max watched him take a seat and order stew and beer.

I noticed that not many people were even paying the boy attention. 'Boy that no one sees' but then one of the girls goes over and says something then leaves.

Should a boy his age be drinking? I get up and walked over.

"May I set with you lad?" I ask.

He shrug and I can do nothing but stare at him so I take a seat.

My mind goes blank as my heart start beating faster. How can this boy make me feel this weak. All I wants to do is to pull the boy to me and protect him. 'trust in love for he will be'

Then I feel a push, telling me to leave but I don't want to leave.

"I'm trying to eat." the boy says.

I look deep into the boy's eyes searching for some answer to tell me why this small boy sets off emotions of want in my body.

Then the push is felt again. As I stare at the boy; blood started running out of his nose. I hand him my handkerchief and he presses it to his noise.

"Thank you." He said.

"What's your name son?" I asked.

"I'm not your son. Please leave me alone." The boy stands to leave.

"Please tell me you name and finish your meal."

"Not hungry any more. Bye." He walks out of the building.

I signals Adam and we follow the boy.

"Getting a feeling from the young man?" Adam asked.

"Yes, I think he is the one the Oracle told me to find."

As we follow we see the boy head into the inn. I wait a moment then head in and ask the innkeeper for his name.

"Funny thing I never got it. He's in room 4." the inn keeper said.

"Adam let's go."

We stood in the door way for a little while then I say to Adam, "Wait here I'll be back?"

"Ok, where are you going?" Adam asked.

"I need to change my cloths. I am thinking I may look frightening to a young lad like him." I go to my room on the next floor up, room 12.

I stripped my cloths off and cleaned myself up. I decide to put on some denim pants and a clean white tunic.

As I arrived back down stairs, Adam starred at me. "My best friend is a handsome devil but not as handsome as my husband."

I want to punch him but instead knock on the door he was gaurding. I then put my ear to the door. I can hear someone moving around so I knock again.

"Who is it?" a voice calls out.

"My name is Maximum I need to talk to you?"

"Not tonight, I'll meet you in the morning at the cafe for breakfast." The voice was a little weak if I did not know better I would guess a female was in there.

"Fine but please I need to talk with you."

I turned to Adam. "Stay guard and don't let him leave. When he comes out bring him to my room."

"Ok, but you'll owe me for this." Adam says.

I am now in a bad mood and walk back to my room. I sat there trying to decide what my feeling are for this boy and decided that it's nothing. The feeling of protection was because this boy was needed to bring peace to my people.

I am loved by many women and I even have a fiancée. Even though I do not love Saundra I have agree to marry her for the good of the land. Loving a boy would never do.

The Oracle is not a fan of Saundra and kepts warning me not to continue this relationship. But this land needs a women's touch.

I finally fall asleep when the Oracle appeared in my dreams.

'The one you seek is not as they are, trust is the key for happiness of all. To bring to light that is lost in your heart, true love is needed and trust to start'

I set up and shook his head 'Why can't the Oracle speak in plan language. Why all the riddles?'

♡♡♡◇◇◇♡♡♡

Adam heard the door open so he closed his eyes to pretend he was asleep. As he felt someone step over him he grabbed the boy.

"Let me go!" The boy yelled.

"No, I don't think so..." But then he place the boy back on the ground and watch him walk away.

What just happened? He was frozen in place for about 30 minutes and when he finally could move her ran upstairs.

He slammed the door open, "I don't know how but he got away. It was like someone was in my mind and all I could do was obey." Adam said.

"Shit, how long ago?" I asked pulling my pants on.

"About a half hour I think." Adam stated.

"Ok, pack up my things and meet me at the stables, I'll try to figure out which way he went."
