i just kept gaming to afraid to fall asleep and throughout the night i felt as if the whole world was just dark to me but, at the same time i could see the light. "6 am crap" i look away from my monitor and try to shake of my sleepless night and go over to my small yet spacious kitchen to make me a pot of coffee while i get ready for my stupid painstaking job at law firm.
i go to the bath room and quickly take a shower and brush my teeth then i hear the ding on the coffee machine. i walk over to it and pull one of my favorite mugs that says "world's best lawyer" on it, it was given to me before my dad died. i think of it as one of his last presents and one of my last memories. i pull it down and take out the pot and pour it halfway up then i put the pot back in machine and take a sip of my coffee and think about life. i hear another alarm "crap I'm late" I start to run out the door coat in hand with the feeling of a semi bad day coming up.
takes me about a 20 min. commute to my office i work for the firm R.W and Sons. its a middle class firm with a few decent lawyers and clients but, i mostly work divorce or injurie cases which in my case if pretty bad because i have a degrees in criminal law and forensic science. oh and to top it all of i have to deal with a boss who quite frankly doesn't know what to do the only degree that he has is one in stupide the only reason he has the firm in the first place is because his dad bought it for publicity.
i walk ten minutes to get to work from the bus stop and from their I'm at least 30-40 minutes late. all I'm think is my boss will kill me or at least fire me which in my case wouldn't be that bad considering my unique situation it possibly couldn't be bad. about 5 minutes into the walk i start getting headaches and see flashes of gray and white which at the time i considered to be a normal symptom of no sleep so i just put it of and waited till it stopped.
i walked into my work about 5 minutes later , the building was a two floors that were set into multiple offices and break rooms my office is on the first floor. the floor itself was a mess and the most underfunded part of the building, it really just the place were the boss put the lawyers that are good at their jobs but won't kiss up to his childlike mentality.
the second I walk through i hear someone shouting "Victors!!!".
