The Priestess group was en route to the Emorial Inn.
The beautiful maiden was humming silently as she reminisced her moment with her crush. Her lips upturned wildly when she dreamt of a grand wedding ceremony with him.
'Oh, my. I cannot wait for our first night. Kyaaa,' she pressed both of her hands on her cheeks, smiling.
Her two ladies-in-waiting were happily watching their master on the side.
Suddenly, Mambo saw smoke coming in the direction of the inn. Then, his eyes opened wide when he glimpsed the destruction of the place they were heading to.
"Master, the inn... the inn is burning!" Mambo reported. His master's lips trembled, and she quickly tucked her head out of the window to see it to herself. "W-what did you say? N, n, no way!" Venus was bewildered.
'The kids!' Venus panicked, trying to open up the door.
"Your excellency, calm down," Ylla stopped her before she unlocked it completely. "My liege, please put yourself together," Daliah seconded, comforting her master.
As the car parked on the curb, the priestess slammed open the door and exited quickly with her hands holding up her long skirts.
The citizen of the third district and her attendants were astonished to witness the destruction of the beloved restaurant. From the lobby to the top floor, it was burning into ashes.
Daliah's eyes started to a teardrop, trying to control her emotion.
Ylla held her hands tightly and comforted her friend.
She found a lot of dead bodies of the guards, who were assigned to protect it.
"What are you staring at, people? Do something. Call the village guards or anyone who can deal with this situation now. Mambo, save the kids!" Venus instructed. "Yes, master!" Mambo rushed into the burning building.
On the side, Richarde perceived his love's tears, and his face stiffened as she looked at him.
Her refreshing smile was no longer visible.
When Daliah noticed him, she quickly covered her face and entered the vehicle.
Richarde subconsciously clenched his fist tightly. His men flinched upon seeing his appearance.
"Boys, I think we have to prepare for war," Richarde declared, smiling.
His voice sounded too calm, but the hidden meaning was the opposite.
Richarde was mad. Really mad.
'Bastard, you've got my interest. Whoever is the arsonist, I will find you!' Richarde commented inside his head, angrily.
Nightime, 9:34:23 in the evening.
Continuing on, Hermes and his familiars were released out of the demon box. He wandered his eyes around a bit, and when he perceived they were safe, he heaved a sigh of relief.
He concluded they were inside the forest.
'We are randomly sent to another place, huh,' Hermes commented inside his head.
"Where should we head to, master~?" asked Meili politely. "Hmm, I don't know yet. Let's wait for a new quest," answered Hermes in a grave tone.
"Master, master," the slime called, tugging his hem. "What?" Hermes was annoyed.
"I want a name. I want a real name. It's so unfair. Meili got a cute name. So, I want the cutest name too. Why did you name her~?" the slime complained. "Sister~, you should know your place too. Giving a name will give you a powerful buff and blessings. Not to mention, the master is the master. He already knows my real name before he consciously states my name. That's why don't accuse him that he named me. You're already stronger than me, so please restrain yourself. Ho~ho~ho, I feel bad for you, sis~," Meili giggled.
"Shut up, you piece of paper. Do you want me to void your contract, and eat you?" the slime badgered. "Hiieeee, I'm jokin', sis~. Master, please help me. Meili will become her dinner if you don't stop her," Meili implored.
"Silence. Both of you just shut your tiny fuckin' mouth, will ya. Slime, I won't ever give you a name. So back off. And for you Meili, don't bark too much if you cannot even bite back. Now then, reconcile and move on. This is not the right time to play around," Hermes scolded.
"Y, yes, master~" Meili hung her head and apologized. "Kyuuuu, I love being pushed aside. Master is really a sadist. I love it. Affirmative, master~!" slime saluted with a smiling face.
'Are you a masochist now, slime?' Hermes worried inside his head.
Finally, the thing he was waiting for had finally arrived. The full coverage of a newspaper fell on his open arms.
He opened it wide to check the new update.

[Virus Warning: Activating the ticket will increase the insanity level from normal to Wicked Sick. The user is advised to gather an amount of two million sinners to contain the side effects.]
"Wicked Sick?" muttered Hermes as he read it. "Kyaaaa, wicked sick level? That's a piece of wonderful news. Wicked sick is a sanity level to become a mortal, master. It means you are allowed to kill a hundred thousand people in a single area, and the master will absorb their filthy souls inside your body. Worry not, we will make sure you will stay immortal as long as we are here," the slime guaranteed.
"Huh? Isn't that good news that I will still retain my humanity?" asked Hermes with a confused look. "Master~, you're our master. You should stay immortal. I, I know you are testing us. And we are aware that we are a burden because we are still weaker than a demon. Don't worry, we will become stronger, and we will never let you down," Meili reassured, completely misunderstanding his question.
"Don't add me. I'm more useful than you, Meili," the slime reluctantly denied. "Sister~, you should support me this time. Meili is useful, you know~!" cried Meili, burying her face in the chest of her master.
'Fuck, if this is a novel, a lot of readers – who like overpowered protagonists – will drop this. Fuck, I'm no pushover. I want to stay a human, you fucking monsters!' Hermes declared inside his head.
Suddenly, the newspaper folded to the next page, and Hermes saw a question in the first article.
<
[Do you want to sacrifice the 15 souls?] [Yes or No]
"Do I have a choice?" Hermes pressed the [Yes] button.
[Insanity Level: Average Normal]
[Soul total collected is now 2,820,230.]
"Two, two million – what?" Hermes' eyes opened widely. "Kyaaa, a lot of raw materials for our mass destruction!" the slime rejoiced.
'Shut the fuck up!' Hermes grimaced.
[Virus Warning: The user is allowed to break through from Human to Medium Human Class. He is not allowed to cultivate back to the human roots.]
"Hmm, this is like a game. I knew it. This is a VR game," Hermes muttered aside. "VR game?" Meili tilted her head to the side. "Nothing, forget about it," Hermes clicked his tongue.
[Weapon Summoner - Silver Class V: All of the weapons are upgraded to Silver Class.]
[Virus Rewards: Loudout 3 is unlocked. Tier 7 bullets are available.]
[Weapon Mastery - Silver Class V: The accuracy increases to 50 % with an additional life steal of 10% of the target's lifeforce.]
[Virus Rewards: The attack speed of the user increases from 1% to 5% per hit. The accumulated damage from the enemies will increase the healing generation of the user from 10% to 15%.]
'Wait, hold up. Isn't this too much? I'm no player, goddamn it. I'm no protagonist. I'm a villain,' Hermes worried.
[Hidden Objective: Killing 15 Elves with an age of 1000 years.]
[Status: Mission Completed]
'Say what? There is a hidden objective there too?' Hermes bit his lower lips, crying inside.
[Hidden Rewards: Memoir of the Past Class F.]
'Memoir, for what?' Hermes was confused.

'Say, what?' worried Hermes.
In just a blink of an eye, the young Don collapsed on the ground. His two familiars began to panic.
"My Master!" cried the slime, trying to wake him up. "What happened? Master, wake up~!" Meili implored.
After the sudden death of Hermes, the familiar garden appeared in front of him. But this time, he's tied with a magical silver rope.
He heard footsteps behind his back.
"What is the meaning of this? Explain," demanded Hermes, angrily. He turned his face to the side and glared at the suspect. "Ara~, you're angry, aren't you? I should be the one who should be mad at this moment," the silver-haired girl placed a hand on her mouth with a terrifying gaze.
Her smile looked cute, but her eyes were overwhelmed with jealousy.
The young Don flinched upon seeing her like this. He compared this moment when a beautiful girl found her lover cheating on her.
He shook his head horizontally, and he clicked his tongue with unease feeling.
"I have no idea why are you mad at me? Can you untie me now?" Hermes was distraught. "Ara~~, do you really think you can do that to me? No way, stay where you are," the maiden slid her finger across his neck, whilst her eyes still locked at his face.
"Tell me, are you the one who killed me?" inquired Hermes with a grave gaze. "Hmm... yes, and I have a good intention to do that," the maiden closed the gap between their face with a smiling face.
'What a savage woman!' Hermes was mad.
"Woman, don't play dumb on me. Why are you doing this?" Hermes caterwauled. "Because I don't want that 'person' to see you!" the maiden chided, angrily.
Hermes' left eyebrows raised up with a confused face.
"Wait, what? Is that all? That's a lame excuse!" Hermes complained. "Ara~, that's a good justification. I don't want that person to achieve her goal. Not on my watch," the maiden puffed her cheeks as she tapped fingers at one another.
"Who the fuck is that person anyway?" asked Hermes. "The person you shouldn't meet. And... my rival," the maiden sat down on his side, and wrapped her fingers on his hand.
'We are not couples, you moron!' Hermes bit his lower lips.
"C'mon, don't get mad at me. I am doing this for your own good," the maiden tapped her index on his right cheek. "To think you will do this. I won't ever ask your name," Hermes clicked his tongue.
The maiden's eyes opened wide, and her heart was disheartened.
"Don't look at me like that," Hermes turned away upon seeing her lonely face. "I am... I am doing this for you. Alright, I will release you. I already absorbed it anyway," the maiden flicked her finger, and the rope disappeared from his body.
Hermes noticed she began to sulk. She covered her face with her hands.
'Goddamn it. This is why I hate cute girls. This is why I hate my good side!' Hermes scratched his head angrily.
"Damn it, I have no idea what's going on. Just tell me. Tell me. Why did you kill me?" asked Hermes. "Because she discovers you. I have to remove your soul before that slut found your location. All of this, I did this to ensure she won't succeed," the maiden explained.
"Who the hell is this person exactly?" queried Hermes with a grave look. "I already told you. That person is my rival. Now as to your punishment, I will do as I pleased!" the maiden embraced him.
Her face pressed into his chest, and she began to sniff it. Her mouth began to cast something inside his heart.
'Oi, oi, you're frightening me, lady. Your dark side is sniffing my scent like a dog,' Hermes was disgusted.
"Okay, enough. Are you satisfied now? Tell me, what is the intention of this person we are talking about?" asked Hermes. "Phew, I love it. Can I taste your... Oh, I'm crossing the line too far. Forgive me. Oh, regarding your question, uh, eh, I don't know how to explain it. It's complicated to explain. So, please. Don't ask about it. As long as I am here, your eternal marria— life will be safe," the maiden rubbed her face on his chest like a cat.
"Oi, oi, do you think I didn't hear what you said earlier? Don't think I will accept you. Look, look at what are you doing right now. I don't think it is appropriate for a beautiful lady to rub her face like a maniac," Hermes heaved a sigh. "Who do you think is a maniac here? I won't become like this if you didn't seduce me. You're the one who should take responsibility for this!" the maiden puffed her cheeks whilst she pounded her hands simultaneously on his chest.
Her shout sounded angry, but her face looked ecstatic.
"As your punishment for killing me, I won't ask your name this time," Hermes declared. "Good for me. Hmph," the maiden released him, stood up from the ground, and walked in distance.
She placed her hands behind her waist, and she tilted her head to the side with a smiling face.
"I hope you learn your lesson. By the way, congratulations. I'm glad you're reaching the peak of your destiny. I hope you won't return to a lower form," the maiden lifted his face, and her lips overlapped on rough skin. "Don't get cocky, lady. I will never give my first kiss to the likes of you," responded Hermes with his hand blocking her advance.
"First kiss? Ara~, you're funny as usual. I won't let this moment to waste, you know. Before that person snatch what is mine. I will take the initiative first. Hehehe~. Take a look at this. Do you really think that you're still a virgin in terms of kissing?" the maiden giggled, summoning the bench. "I, I know. What the heck are you doing now? I already gave it to someone. Well, it's not counted anyway. But still, you have no right to force someone to kiss me. Man, this is tiring," Hermes sighed.
'She's beautiful, but her mind is clouded with terrifying agenda. Fucking yandere. I don't know why she's obsessed with me,' Hermes cringed.
The beautiful girl glared at him with a smug face.
"I guess, we're running out of time. Boo~, I hate this restriction. I cannot accept this unfair treatment. Gosh, what an exhausting day. Nevermind. At least, it is following the creed of fate. The 'Vas' is successfully taming you anyway. Hehe~ I guess the 'offeramus hostiam' project is moving smoothly," the maiden muttered aside. "Huh? Did you speak Latin just now?" Hermes worried.
'If this a novel, I hope the readers will help me to uncover what's the meaning of those words!' Hermes was curious.
"Nope, forget about it. Hehe~. Continue to cultivate the sinners into your power. Then, reach the pinnacles of human's eternal dream, okay. I know you can do it," the maiden held both of his hands gently. "Oi, don't touch me, woman. We're not couples," Hermes' veins popped out on his forehead.
'Heh~, do you really think I will follow what the newspaper is trying me to do? Fuck the people who wanted me to become an immortal being. I will stay as a human as long as possible. Being a human is a blessing of the creator anyway. I won't abandon it!' Hermes declared inside his head.
"Exactly. Farewell," the maiden took advantage of the situation, and their lips overlapped on each other. "Hmmm?" Hermes was caught off guard.
Returning to the human realm, Hermes opened his eyes, and he stood up quickly from the ground.
"Master!" the slime embraced his left face. "Dear master~, welcome back!" Meili hugged the other side.
'Fuck this shit. Why the hell I [wake up as mafia boss]?' Hermes questioned angrily.
