Hermes opened his eyes after they entered his demon box.
'I wonder how many are they,' he asked inside his head.
"Master, there are six people trapped inside our realm. One of them is my little sister," the slime informed happily. "Your sister, huh. What do you think should we do about her?" questioned Hermes, curiously. "Kill her," the slime answered briefly.
'Fuckin' monster,' Hermes was agitated.
"She's your sister, you see. How about you set some changes in your relationship with her?" suggested Hermes with a cold sweat. "Hmm? Why are you sweating a lot, master? Nevermind. Do you know why? She destroyed my trust, so she has to pay the right price, you know," the slime responded with a sinister tone.
'Damn it, this creature is really insane,' Hermes heaved a tired sigh.
"As I aforementioned before, she deliberately pledged her loyalty to the fake master, you see. This means she is already out of the family list after she betrayed you to join that clown," the slime added. "Ah, I see," Hermes nodded as he contemplated her statement.
"She's already excommunicated from my family list, so why should I reconcile with her? She should face her punishment right here, right now," the slime pointed out. "Aah, you've got a point there," Hermes nodded again.
"By the way, how're the guests?" asked Hermes, changing the topic. "They are fine... for now," the slime answered promptly.
"I guess, we should go out now. I will leave the dirty job on your ― goab," Hermes' face was hit by a newspaper before he could finish his sentence. "Oh, it's a new mission, huh," rejoiced the slime after she saw it.
<< Virus Update:>>
[Mission Objective: Form a contract with the informant. Failure to capture her will put the user in an incurable disease.]
[Insanity Level: Lunatic]
'Lunatic? What the fuck is this insanity level?' asked Hermes with a confused face.
<
[Virus Detection: The user is at a critical point. The souls are starting to blurt out. The user must form a contract with a new familiar to stabilize the flow of his insanity level.]
[Time limit before it reaches the critical level to become Sanity Level ― 15 minutes]
[Virus Warning: Failure to finish the task will lead to a severe consequence. Once the insanity level disappears and converts back to sanity level, it will return the user to his original state as a human being.]
'Fifteen minutes, huh. Wait a minute, this is a piece of great news,' Hermes's lips upturned.
[Virus Warning: Your contract with the slime will exterminate. The collated and collected souls will perish, and they will return to their designated place as a haunted ghost.]
'Great, let's fail this one,' Hermes's face turned dark when he read the last sentence.
"Master, I change my mind. Let's meet my little sister," the slime simpered. "What the change of heart?" asked Hermes with a curious gaze. "I cannot explain it yet, but we need to make haste before it's too late," the slime gravely declared.
'Oh, I see. You don't want to separate from me, huh. Too bad, I won't finish this quest. Let's end this task and escape from this place,' Hermes's face turned dark.
Inside the black dimensional place, a little girl was lying down on the transparent ground.
Her pupils resembled a color of the sapphire.
Her body was tiny, and she dressed like a cute toy doll in the store. On her hazel hair, a scarlet paper ribbon was pinned on it.
The informant opened her eyes, her upper body raised up, and rubbed her eyes like a cute baby girl.
'Hmm, where am I? Where the hell are you stupid Ilona? Wait a minute, something ain't right,' the informant shifted her gaze from left to right.
She snapped back to reality and she immediately formed a dark defensive barrier around her.
She stood up with trembling legs.
'So dark! I hate this shadow darkness! Wait, it's too hard to breathe. What's happening to me?' she asked, breathing too rough.
She sensed her remaining souls that she collected a thousand years ago were gradually depleting.
'Am I inside the Trojan the demon box? Inconceivable. The ancient relic should be in the possession of the female assassin. Sir Seraph gave it to her because she looked like a disposable character in a novel, so he handed it over as he believed she will die together with the bastard child,' the informant commented inside her head.
"Stop using your brainless head like a low-level spirit. Your performance is a disappointing scene to watch, my beloved younger sister," a familiar voice crossed into her ears. "B, Big sister~? Dear sister~!" the informant was bewildered. "Yup, correct, my younger sister," the slime answered.
"Sister~, where are you? It's so dark and scary. Please show yourself," the informant clutched her hands together between her small chest. "I don't think it is a good idea right now," the slime humbly declined.
"Please sister~. You know I hate dark places, you know," cried the informant. "I know and I like to glimpse your pathetic face. You deserve it," the slime giggled.
'It's getting dark. No, please. I don't want to pee!' the informant held her lower part to stop leaking.
"Oh, the traitorous bastard child is a nyctophobia. How ironic, isn't it? Your power has negative darkness alignment, but you're afraid of this kind of realm. Now tell me, is this all you've got? Pathetic. You disappoint me, my dear sister," the slime commented. "S, s, sister, please show some room. I don't want to pee in this place," the informant shivered, trying to hold on.
"Why are you in the office anyway?" the slime interrogated. "Pardon?" the informant grasped.
"Stay put. Don't make a move. Why are you in the office tonight?" asked the slime, angrily. "I, I, I want to see you, sis~," the informant cried, lips trembling.
"Lies, stop lying!" the slime condemned. "I ain't lying. I want to see you. I want to check if you're doing fine. I heard that your master is captured by the mere mortals. That's why I want to pay a visit and check you. I seek to be... I have some sort of doubt at first, but what I want to seek is different from before," the informant explained.
"Then, what do you seek?" queried the slime, gravely. "I seek for your approval!" the informant begged.
'Please sister, please. Open your heart,' the informant begged inside her head.
"My approval? Explain properly," the slime questioned. "I want to seek your approval to be with you. I've been waiting for a thousand years to be with you, sis~. You're the only sibling who accepted who I am. Sister, if you cannot void your contract with the fake master, then let me be with you!" the informant proclaimed.
Silence covered the dimensional room for a second.
The voice of the slime turned happy.
"Good for you. I'm glad you're tiny brain has finally fixed properly," the slime flustered. "Pardon? I'm not an idiot, sister!" the informant rattled.
"Then, how about you void your contract from the fake master," the slime suggested. "You realize I cannot do that. I only wanted to be with you. What I mean is, I want to accompany you like the old times, but I won't ever pledge my allegiance with Hermes Archnemesis," the informant asserted.
'Hermes Archnemesis is a fake. He's a fraud! Why would I risk my life for someone like him? He's a weakling!' the informant badgered.
Suddenly, her gaze shifted behind her upon hearing a few steps of feet.
"Hey, take a look at that. I don't need you either," a male voice got her attention. "H, Hermes Archnemesis," the informant's eyes turned bitter upon seeing him in a flesh.
Hermes adjusted his mask with one finger before he shrugged his arms off thereafter.
"You are a devoted familiar of your grand lord, huh. I'm sure the pedo will love to hear your devotion. What is more, he must be a pathetic guy with a small gun on his lower part. I don't know how you can raise a child with your small and fragile-looking body," Hermes placed both of his hands behind and walked around her like a consultant. "S, s, shut up, fake master. You're nothing to him. I don't aim to become his mistress. Master has a lover he's longing for. P, p, plus, the master is unable to see my true form yet. But I'm pretty sure he will regain his ability. I don't care if you can see my true form, so shut it. All he can see is my disguise ― an old man. But mark my words, I won't accept you. Period. There is a lot of competition that I have to watch out for, so it will take time for my master to fully recover his true power," the informant puffed her cheeks as she pointed her index at his face.
'Woah, first one of what? The first one to see her fragile body? All I can see is her doll-like figure. Man, the grand lord is really a pedo who doesn't care about her size, huh. I don't know what is she talking about, but I want a powerful authority to arrest that pedo right now. I wonder if there is a child protection department to rehabilitate this little girl,' Hermes's left eyebrows raised up as he commented it.
"W, why are you looking at me like someone who is worried about my sanity?" asked the informant with a stumble tone. "Because you're an idiot, little girl. That's all," Hermes bluntly responded.
'I'm not a little girl! I'm a legal girl!' cried the informant inside her head.
"How disappointing," Hermes closed his eyes in disbelief. "Indeed, she's truly a disappointing child, master," the slime seconded.
"What's that supposed to mean?" the informant extended down her hands out of anger. "I don't mean to upset you. But you're supposed to be a deadly assassin with a professional outlook. To surmise this, you're acting like a child inside an old lady, you see," Hermes commented frankly.
The informant shed tears out of her eyes with puffed cheeks. She tried to attack him, but it was easily repelled by her sister's magical defense.
"S, shut up!" the informant stomped her feet on the dimensional ground. "Hey, you've got some guts to yell, huh. Don't try to snap me back to a vicious big sister, my dear sis," the slime warned with a terrifying gaze.
The informant bit her lower lips and her face turned blue after she saw her eyes.
"M, my apologies," she hung her head down. "Good, now listen here. My master needs another companion to exceed his limit. Mother will get mad if he doesn't receive the present that is supposed to return to his possession. Look at us attentively. I will give you an offer that you cannot refuse, sister," mentioned the slime.
"M, m, mother? You mean Mommy?" the informant shivered. "Yup, you bet. Papirus and I are the only sane children who discovered the true master. You have only one choice to choose. If you refuse to follow us, your life will expire without a doubt, you see," the slime explained promptly.
'Big sis Papirus? The second most powerful spirit who can rival big sis in passive support? What is more, is Mommy going to kill me? What did I do to deserve this? Did I do something wrong in my entire life? I thought big sis is the only one who picked Hermes as her new master but to think big sis Papirus and mommy side him. U, unbelievable,' the informant shuddered as she slowly looked at the face of Hermes Archnemesis.
"Hey, I don't think it is a right idea to push your agenda, slime," Hermes complained, folding his arms across his chest. "Master, let me handle this situation. It is between me and my stupid sister. I have to crack open her mind to join us," the slime pleaded.
'W, what?' the informant's mind was clouded.
"Do as you please," Hermes gave in. "Thank you, master," the slime simpered.
The slime summoned a chair and offered it to her master. Then, she transformed her body from a mask to her tiny human-shaped body.
A Sampaguita flower tied on her phony-tailed hair.
"Hmph, I knew it. I'm sexy when I wear a black gothic dress like mother!" the slime pounded her chest proudly. "Hmm, I'm impressed. You are still sane to put some clothes around your tiny body," Hermes muttered aside that only he could hear.
'Go for it, slime. Kill your sister. Both of you are monsters after all. Do you think you can convince your little sister to join us? To think you are making lies to instill a sense of fear into her heart. Both of you have a mom, huh. I wonder who she is. By the way, who the hell is Papirus? I doubt they are real. You're good in making a lame background story about your family, slime,' Hermes was dubious.
"W, w, will mommy forgive me?" asked the informant, crying. "No, I don't think so," the slime shook her head with a bitter smile.
"Hiiiiiiieeee, help me, sis~. Help me!" the informant jumped on her side, embraced her tightly, and hit her chest with her crying face. "Yosh, yosh, you deserve it. Stop crying. Your pathetic face is turning ugly. Mother will slice it into two if you keep crying like a stupid doll," the slime petted her head to calm her.
"Sister~, you supposed to comfort me. Not to scare me. I don't have a name yet, and I want to become a mother of eight children when I grow up. Please help me, sis," the informant cried like a baby. "Yosh, yosh, stop crying like a baby. You won't achieve your goal anyway. Why? Because you're a spirit and master is a human right now. But if you join us, he will gain a new aura to stable his sanity. Then, boom. He will be at par with a mid-tier demon, you see," the slime comforted her as per her request.
"I love you sister~, but stop ruining what I longing for!" the informant rubbed her face like a cat on her sister's chest. "Oh, really. Then stop dreaming to become a harem candidate to my master. Because I doubt mother will forgive you if you try to do some nasty thing to him," the slime reminded sarcastically.
'Hermes is not my type. The emperor is my one and the only person who I want to become my husband!' the informant explained inside her mind.
"Is Hermes Archnemesis the master?" questioned the informant. "Yes, and you have to void your contract from the grand lord, or else," the slime demonstrated her throat slice in the air.
"But, but, I will lose my memory if I void it right now," the informant hung her head down bitterly. "Well, you have to throw it away in order to salvage what was left in your body," the slime titled her head happily.
Her smile looked genuine, but the meaning behind it said otherwise.
"Sister~, I won't remember where the grand lord lives, his lifestyle, and his secret affairs in this country. I won't ever recall my life during his insanity periodical era when I pledge my loyalty to him a hundred years ago. His face, his background, his body size, his peni~ I mean his members of his faction, and even his secrets will pop out like a bubble. I might retain my memory of the past, but my memories of the second master without a doubt will forever go!" the informant bickered. "Is that all? I don't care. Void the con~tract~" the slime's eyes turned dark, like a dragon looking at their prey.
The informant tried to run, but her sister used a cross-grab technique.
"Sister~, what do you take me for?" the informant begged. "Stop resisting, I'm liberating you from his grasp," the slime smirk.
'D, don't tell me. She's going to use her forbidden technique to void my contract with my beloved master? N, no, no, no, no, please. Stop!' the informant cried inside her head.
"Sister~, stop. I'm beggin' you. Stop~!" the informant resisted, crying. "No, calm down. Chill, this will take a while," the slime placed a finger on her forehead as she cast a spell.
'I can't use my powers. She's concealing it with her own aura. No, please. Don't erase my memories for your own selfish agenda,' the informant pleaded.
"No, please. Stop~!" whimpered the informant. "Don't worry. Stop resisting. I'm going to give you what true freedom stands for," the slime blurted out a sinister laugh.
'Sto―p!' the informant cried out loud.
She closed her eyes as she slowly gave in. She lose her strength to fight back when her sister cast a spell, or she thought.
"Hmm? Sister~?" the informant was confused. "M, master, what are you doing?" complained the slime angrily. "This is too much. She's your sister, so stop doing this stupid stuff," Hermes responded as he picked her up before she did something bad to her prey.
"W, why did he save me?" asked the informant with a confused face. "Why did I save you? I just want to end this stupid thing. That's all," Hermes's left eyebrows raised up when he stared at her pitiful situation.
"Huh?" the informant was bewildered. "Stop looking at me like 'are you stupid?' All I want to say is, I don't want to form another contract with an empty-head little girl. It will ruin my plan, you know,' Hermes declared sarcastically.
"As expected, she's not worthy of your kindness, master," the slime nodded happily. "Shut it," Hermes commanded. "Copy," the slime hung her head down in apology.
"Hermes Archnemesis," the informant stoop up on her feet. "Yes?" Hermes glared at her tiny body.
'I don't know what kind of human he is. I feel like I'm doing a terrible mistake, but I cannot sit tight and relax when he saves me like that,' the informant closed her fist tightly.
"I have three questions for you. Answer it properly," the informant stated. "Go for it," Hermes nodded.
"This is a life and death question, so I hope you won't back down," the informant declared. "Rest assured. I will answer it properly. But I hope this is your last. What are your questions?" asked Hermes.
'Good, let's end this. I have five minutes before the end of this quest. I'm going to say farewell to these two creatures,' Hermes simpered.
"What do you see from me?" the informant queried. "A fragile little girl with a scarlet ribbon pinned on her hair," Hermes answered promptly.
The informant flinched upon hearing it.
"What is the color of my eyes?" questioned the informant, shivering in fear. "Hmm, let's see. Blue? Oh, it's a too common trait, so how about we call it sapphire. Oh, yeah. It's sapphire. By the way, it's a beautiful eye," Hermes simpered.
'Damn, I'm pretty sure it is not sapphire, so let's answer it like a joke,' Hermes laughed inside his head.
The informant's face turned scarlet from neck to ears.
"Master, stop it. You're making me jelly," the slime complained. "Oh, shut it. You're not even that ugly, you see," Hermes sassed.
"Oh, master~, you're too kind. I hope you stop lying too much. I know you are thinking I am too ugly and my existence is a bit annoying. I believe you should continue to become too dogmatic and pragmatic just like the old times," the slime giggled. "I am dead serious. But I cannot deny the fact that you're too annoying to be with me," Hermes responded wearily.
"Cuuuuooo, I love it. I love hearing it. You're really a sadistic master," the slime was ecstatic. "Nevermind, I should just keep my mouth shut," Hermes turned away and dropped her down on the floor.
"Ouch, master. That's too much. Wait a minute, we don't have time for this chit-chat," the slime complained again. "Whatever," Hermes feigned ignorance and walked closer at the informant.
She fidgeted her gaze from his feet to his head.
"This... This is the last question," the informant slightly changed her tone when he faced her closer. "Go on, I'm tired of waiting," Hermes proceeded.
"What is my real name?" asked the informant, transforming into a piece of letter. "Pff, why you transform into a mail? You look like an email letter, lol. I don't mean to upset you, but did your former master call you Meili? Because it is the only thing I can think of. Oh, it's a kind of joke, so that's not my ― hmm?" Hermes was interjected when a newspaper hit his face.
He removed it out of his face, unfolded it, and read the content.
[Mission Objective: Form a contract with the informant. Failure to capture her will put the user in an incurable disease.]
[Status: Mission Completed.]
His smile stiffened.
His hands trembled and tangled the newspaper a bit.
It took him a few seconds to snap back to reality
'Say wha―at?' Hermes agonized.
[Insanity Level: Normal]
<
'What does it supposed to mean? I'm still a human being!'
Virus Achievement:
[Nestle Favor: This title is bestowed to the person that the powerful maiden yearned for. The user has successfully tamed an exotic pet.]
[Virus Detection: The informant's contract with her second master is void. All of her memories of when she started to work for him will diminish. However, her contract before the second will retain.]
'Hu―uh?' Hermes's face dropped a lot of sweat.
[Mission Completed: Meili is now in the user's possession.]
Hermes stepped back in a distance when he realized it. She slowly transformed into her human form.
She genuflected on the air before she lifted her head to see him.
'I don't like where this is going,' Hermes kept a distance again.
His body shivered when the informant glared at him. Her pupils trembled in ecstatic.
"Master Hermes Archnemesis, I pledge my loyalty, perfect body, and pure heart. To think you remember my true name. This Meili here will never abandon you from now on. I apologize for being dumb, stubborn, and stupid to kill you. I take all of the curses that I put inside your body. Fuck the grand lord, who the hell is he anyway? I swear to mom that I will kill my dumb sisters who pledged their loyalty to that jackass. I swear to you that I will support your reign unconditionally as the Emperor of this world. Oh, Lord Hermes, you're the true master of all of us!" the informant swore an oath.
Hermes coughed blood.
'I knew it. Another stan rise in this stupid mess. I'm not the fuckin' reincarnation of your dumb Emperor!'
"I swear my life to protect you. Use me however you want, my dear master~" Meili added, smiling. "Congratulations, master. You're a terrifying man. You use your charm to fool her. Not only do you make my sister suffer a hellish intimacy, but you also erase her memories to return her to her original state as Meili. You're the only man who can do that thus far. Good job, master," the slime clutched her hands together between her chest and praised him.
'I have only a few seconds before the.. the quest comes to an end. But I failed. I failed to accomplish it. So shut the fuck up. This is a fuckin' mess up!' Hermes cried inside his head.
[Virus Advise: Don't lewd the little girls. Their mother will punish the user severely. You will earn the title of Pedo Collector if the user does something out of the quest.]
Hermes tore it apart before it scribbled the last part.
"I am not a fuckin' pedo!" Hermes complained.
