The military Base....
Major General Gevan, a call for you. One of the junior military officer informed him, saluted army style and exited his office. He picked up the call and spoke, hello, Major general Gevan on the line, over.
This is Major General Gupta on the line, over, the person at the other end of the line responded. What is the command from the parliament? over, Major general Gevan asked.
There has been an international crises in Africa, in Sudan, and your presence is needed urgently at the parliament. The President, President Ram Nath Kovind will be having a closed door meeting with all army Major generals across India, tomorrow by 7 am, over.
I will make my self available for the meeting with the President, over and out, Major General Gevan responded. As soon as he hung up, he came out of his office immediately and informed his second in command and the other army officers in charge, of his immediate departure to the parliament in New Delhi for a closed door meeting with the President
He left the army base with two of his personal junior officers and handed over responsibilities to his second in command to take charge in his absentia at the army barracks. Training and other army routine at the army base continued as usual.
Meanwhile at Delhi hospital....
Shruti Arora was disappointed that her call didn't go through, as at the time she tried calling the army base, the line was engaged. She thought about calling Major General Gevan's direct line, but she knew very well, that no network reception at the army base, so she gave up that idea.
She thought to her self, I will just try calling the army barracks later. After her thoughts, she moved back to Sonal and sat down close to her. Sonal she called? Yes mum? Sonal replied with tears still in her eyes.
I tried calling dad but the barracks line are engaged and you know very well no network reception for his direct line, other wise I would have called him directly. But I will call back later.
Okay mum Sonal replied, still sober with tears. Sonal before I call dad back, I will give Yash a call to come over, to cheer you up, Shruti said. Okay mum Sonal responded. Although she didn't want Yash to see her in her moment of weakness because she knew it disgusted him, she had no choice but to accept her mum's proposal to call him.
She didn't want her mum to discover her relationship with Yash was in bad shape, she was also confident Yash would behave well in front of her mum, so she had nothing to worry about.
Meanwhile at Bhavan Hotel....
Yash Prahtab was having a sexual moment with his bed mate, this time around he was having her longer than he usually does. It was the most depressing and sad moment of his life.
His dad had discovered his mischievousness at Prahtab company, although they deal on hard drugs; cocaine and illegal weapons but on the surface, in the public eyes, they deal with clearing and forwarding, it was not enough reason for his son to steal from his company.
His dad had suspended him till further notice and on top of that, his supposed fiancee, Sonal would not help him with free commercial at Mehra TV. And even when he offered to pay for the commercial at a later time, she still refused to help him out, because she had the feeling he was up to no good.
Anytime he was overly sweet to her, something was fishy and up his sleeves. She didn't want to loose her job in the process of trying to help him out. So she decided to be on the safe side by not helping him out.
Yash phone rang, surprisingly he did not break away from his sexual moment with his bed mate. Normally in the pasts, his bed mate usually is the one to plead with him to pick up his phone later, but this time around she is reminding him that his phone is ringing.
I will pick it up later woman, but right now you should enjoy this moment while it lasts. Okay Yash but I still think you should pick up your call, the caller is calling you for the 2nd time, it might really be important.
Woman you irritating me, Yash replied angrily and got up from her almost immediately. He picked up his phone, looked at the caller, saw it was his future mum in-law.
On seeing who the caller is, he secretly was delighted he reached for his phone, but he did not admit this to his bed mate. At the last ring, he picked it up and answered, hello mother in-law, he spoke into his phone. Hello son, Shruti Arora replied
Yes mum? Yash spoke. I called to inform you about your fiancée, she.... before she could finish her sentence, Yash Interrupted rudely as if he truly cared about Sonal and asked, Sonal! what happened to her mum?
Shruti Arora was not offended that Yash Interrupted her before she could finish her sentence, because she thought Yash truly cared for Sonal, she had no clue Yash only pretended to care because of the financial gains and higher status he would achieve after he gets married to her.
She answered him nicely by replying, son calm down dear, Sonal is fine, nothing happened to her, but her friend Jasmine has been hospitalized.
I called to inform you, so you come down to old Delhi hospital, ward 6, room 110. We are at the lobby, to come keep Sonal company because she has been crying for her friend ever since.
I believe she would be much better off if you came down here to be by her side, in this trying times. Okay mum, I will be there, as soon as I am out of a very important meeting, Yash lied to her. Okay son, Shruti responded and ended the call.
After the call, Shruti informed Sonal that Yash would be joining them soon. Okay mum, Sonal replied. I will try calling the army base back, their lines should be free now, I suppose, Shruti said and dialed the code almost immediately.
Meanwhile at the army base....
The phone at the office of the major general rang, the second in command received it at his own office. This is general Bharat Bhagya speaking, over, he said immediately he picked up the call.
This is Shruti Arora speaking, the caller at the other end of the line replied. Yes madam? over, general Bharat Bhagya spoke again. I will like to speak with Major General Gevan, it's a domestic emergency, Shruti responded.
Madam, Major General Gevan is currently indisposed right now. He is with important guests at the army base, you can leave a message and I will deliver it to him, over, general Bharat replied.
General Bharat knew very well that the closed door meeting with the President that Major General Gevan went for together with all other Major Generals across India was top secret.
He was not allowed to disclose such news to even family members. It was only after the meeting is over and the President and all attendees of the close door meeting have been dismissed that the public will be informed.
General Bharat had no other choice but to inform Madam Shruti Arora that her husband, Major general Gevan Arora was still in the army base, currently indisposed and having a meeting with important guests in the grounds of the army base.
Alright general, please tell him, Sonal's best friend, Jasmine Singh, had a medical emergency, she is currently at the Old Delhi Hospital. Sonal and I are with her. All her family members are currently not in India except for her brother Ajay Singh who is a soldier at the barracks over there.
Shruti Arora paused for a while and continued. It is important that at least one of her family members be present to sign important Hospital documents on her behalf.
The doctor's have stabilized her but further treatments will have to be carried out when all necessary documents have been signed by her close family members.
I had to sign the initial documents for her in place of her aunty before she was admitted into the old Delhi Hospital. But Ajay's presence is needed for her other Hospital patient's documents.
Yes Madam, I will deliver your message to the major general. His decision concerning Ajay will be communicated back to you. Over and out. The call ended.
After the call, general Bharat sent for Ajay. Ajay came into his office and saluted army style. Yes sir you sent for me? Ajay spoke. Yes Ajay, general Bharat spoke, paused and continued. There has been a call through, important information has been passed.
Madam Shruti called. Your sister, Jasmine is currently admitted in the old Delhi Hospital. Your presence is urgently needed. You are hereby dismissed immediately to travel to old Delhi. You are to be back in a week's time.
The official promotion ceremony will be taking place around that time, be back in time for that. And take another trusted soldier along with you. It's in the army's code of conduct that a soldier is not allowed to travel alone. He must go with at least one soldier to watch his back and vice versa.
Report back to me on who you taking with you, general Bharat handed over the permission letter to exit the army base to Ajay and dismissed him immediately from his office. Sir, yes sir, Ajay saluted army style and exited the office of the general Bharat immediately.
He went straight to his room. He could not show his emotions at the office of the general, but now alone in his room, he began to wonder what had happened to his sister Jasmine. He hoped and prayed she wasn't critical.
It was a sunny afternoon, all other soldiers were on the training grounds. He was allowed back into his room at that time only because he showed his permission letter.
He packed a few important things he would need for his trip back to old Delhi. He left his room leaving his packed bag and went back to the training grounds. He had to take someone with him, it was mandatory.
He chose his room mate and one of his best buddy Prakash Mehra. Prakash was dismissed immediately from the training grounds. Prakash was curious to know why. Ajay couldn't explain to him in the training grounds, but when they got to their room, Ajay explained to him the situation with his sister that they had to leave immediately to old Delhi and be back in a week's time.
Prakash understood Ajay, he quickly packed few things for the journey. Before they left the room. He left a letter for Sagar and Pulkit, under their room door, explaining the reason why he had to travel to old Delhi with Ajay.
Ajay and Prakash went to the office of the general Bharat. General Bharat acknowledge them and handed over another permission letter to Prakash this time, to enable both of them exit the main gate of the army barracks.
General Bharat dismissed them and ordered that the army convoy take them to the airport. On their way to the airport, when they got to civilization area, where there is network reception, Prakash quickly booked their flight tickets online.
