Chapter 70 - Ritz Firm Wants Mehra Conglomerates To Be It's Leading Investor

It was past 10 am when Sonal and Jasmine reached Delhi. Sonal looked at the back of the moving Limousine, her heart ached. It felt as though she forgot someone back at the military base.

But why was she just feeling this now? she asked herself under her breaths. Then she tried to recall. As she reminiscence on the activities back at the military base, she was able to put the pieces together and get a meaning out of it.

At that time, she was only worried about the release of the comrades especially her Prakash. Wow! her Prakash! she smiled as she surprisingly said it under her breaths again.

But what about on the plane? she recalled that there were some military personnel on board who came from another military base. She over heard them mention the name of their military base in one of their conversations.

Now that she and Jasmine were no longer on board, being in the Limousine and heading home felt as though she had left her Prakash all alone to be tortured by her father and was heading home to the comfort of the Arora Mansion.

As she thought, her phone began to ring, she took it out of her purse and looked at the caller ID, it was Yash calling. On seeing who was calling, she let her phone ring without answering it. It rang a few more times before Yash gave up on calling her.

Why don't you pick up your calls Sonal, Jasmine urged her. It's Yash calling, I will answer him when we get back to the mansion, for now I don't feel like answering him, she replied. Well Rohit has not called me for weeks now, I would kill for a call from him right now, Jasmine responded.

Speaking of Rohit, Sonal quickly snapped from her damp mood earlier, she didn't want to be distracted anymore, she would deal with the thoughts of Prakash later, but for now, her best friend needed her to distract her from the evil claws of Rohit.

Jasmine why don't you be a darling, use less of your phone, and patiently wait for Rohit to give you a call. You don't want to annoy him if you intend to call him later.

Sonal what's with you and using less of phones lately? it's not a sleepover night you know! Jasmine questioned Sonal. I care about my best friend Jass, Sonal respond. Okay Sonal But you do have a point, Rohit doesn't like it when I disturb him with calls, Jasmine replied.

Anyway Jass, my mum's friend has a daughter of our age, I was thinking we go to tea with my mum tomorrow, we can bond with her friend's daughter and perhaps go to the spa later in the evening that same day, what do you think?

Hmmm, I don't really like the idea of going to tea with your mum and her friends but since you mentioned we would spend most of the time with her friend's daughter and go to the spa later in the evening tomorrow, I will buy into your idea, Jasmine replied.

Immediately she said that, the Limousine stopped, the driver then spoke, miss Arora we have reached the Arora mansion. Sonal thanked the driver, hopped out of the car and instructed him to take Sonal home.

The best friend duo wished themselves goodbye. As Sonal went into the mansion, Jasmine was taken home by the Arora family driver.

Meanwhile in Bombay....

Meanwhile at the Ritz Mansion....

Yuvrag sat in the Living room at the Ritz Mansion. He was wondering what father Ritz wanted to speak to him about. Ever since brother Ritz returned from his business trip overseas, father Ritz had his men stopped investigating Yuvi.

Yuvrag had proven to be a good future son in law, he needed the services of his men for important security work at the Ritz's large ware houses, so he had to withdraw them from investigating Yuvrag.

Word had gotten to father Ritz by one of his trusted sources who worked for Mehra Conglomerates concerning the latest management situation. Not that they do shady business together, he just pays this source anytime he brings him trusted information about Mehra Conglomerates.

Father Ritz liked the idea of having first hand information about Mehra Conglomerates. He had been informed that Yuvrag was now the one in charge at Mehra Conglomerates. Yuvrag had lost his uncle overseas, his father had to attend to the family matter concerning that.

Father Ritz is not one to purposely cut corners in business, he just felt that Yuvrag should be of good use to him, now that he is in charge of Mehra in the mean time.

Yuvrag sat there with a cup of tea in his hand, he looked from the direction of father Ritz to brother Ritz. He sipped his tea a couple of times before putting it down on the table in front of him.

He cleared his throat, he was not trembling, over time, he had gotten used to be around his father in law. He spoke up, father you sent for me. Yes son, father Ritz replied.

First of all my condolences, about the loss of your uncle. But the main reason why I sent for you was to discuss business with you. He took the copy of the gotten contract from brother Ritz.

He handed it to Yuvrag, and continued. Son that is a contract that brother Ritz had secured overseas. The details of all you need to know about it are all in there.

Ritz Firm as you already know deals with production and distribution of pure Indian fabrics. We also produce and distribute non pure Indian fabrics but our Major focus is on pure Indian fabrics.

Yuvi looked and continue to study the file in his hand. After a while, he responded to Father Ritz proposal. I will take the file with me, study it some more and discuss your proposal with the board of directors at Mehra Conglomerates, then get back to you father.

Father Ritz and Brother Ritz then shook hands with Yuvrag. That would be a great idea, we await your reply son and we would be heading back to the office now, Father Ritz said.

Okay Father, Yuvrag stood up along with them as he said, but Father, you could have sent for me from the office over at Ritz Firm, it's no trouble for me at all, I would have have been there.

Yes son, you were bringing Nisha home from the university today, so we decided to bring work Proposal to you here instead, that makes things easier for everyone, Father Ritz replied.

By this time Father and Brother Ritz were already in their car and ready to head back to Ritz Firm. Yuvrag bade them good bye and went back inside to inform Natasha he is heading back to Mehra Conglomerates, back to work aswell.

Natasha wanted him to stay longer but mother Ritz advised against that idea that it is best he returns back to work as soon as possible. Yuvrag said goodbye to Natasha and mother Ritz and left for Mehra Conglomerates afterwards.

Meanwhile at Delhi University....

Vikrom, Desha and the rest of the student elect body were comfortably sited in the office of Professor Vijay Singh. They looked at themselves and wondered why they were suddenly summoned.

The usual strict Professor was friendly today. Today must have been a good day, they thought to themselves. Amidst their thoughts, Professor Vijay Singh suddenly spoke up.

Members of the student leaders elect, your progress so far has been commendable. The student leadership and the other teams you work with all approved of your quick pace at open mindedness to learn the ropes of student leadership.

For that reason and more, I summoned you all. He brought out an envelope and handed it over to Vikrom, the student president elect, next he brought another and handed it over to Desha, the student vice president elect, then he brought our some more and handed it over to the rest accordingly.

As each of them collected their envelopes, they thanked him. When he was done given everyone theirs, he continued. That envelope contains thousands of rupees. They are a contribution from your predecessors the current student leadership.

They have also organised a mini party for you all to wine and dine later in the evening when all classes has ended. He brought out another flat envelope and handed it over to Vikrom.

That envelope contains the address of your mini party for later, your predecessors will be there as well. This will give room for more Interaction between the two sets.

Vikrom, Desha and the rest thanked professor Vijay Singh and exited his office. As they were heading out, one of them began to cry happy tears. Vikrom, Desha and the rest then inquired of him why he was crying.

His father had been sick, he was hospitalized, as the first born of the family, the responsibilities of the family had been shouldered on him. His relatives were not nice relatives that is why his immediate family had to pack out of the family house to go live on their own in the suburbs.

He looked at the envelope in his hands, he then thanked their predecessors, the money in his hands will assist him in paying for the medical bills of his sick father.

The others also thanked their predecessors and asked him why he didn't open up to them about his challenges all this while. They would have been able to assist him, they scolded him lightly.

He replied to them that he didn't want to burden them, and that he had been working 3 jobs after school just to help with his school fees aswell.

They understand his explanation but they just didn't stop there, first Vikrom opened his envelope and took a few thousand rupees then gave it to him, next Desha did same thing followed by the others.

He refused them at first that they too also needed all the share of their money. They agreed they needed it but not as dire of a need as his. In the end, he collected the money from them and thanked them. They went their separate ways, and when it was time for their classes afterwards, they all attended.
