Simran woke up with a start when the air hostess touched her shoulder. The plane was about to land. In a few minutes she would meet her love. Ali would be standing there eagerly to greet her. After the email episode with Rahul, Simran had gone to office the next day to talk to her boss. She told him that she had to leave india urgently and if she could resign from her job. The manager, who was her boss asked her the reason and she told him her story. He was sorry for her and he liked Simran and the way she worked. Simran had already planned that she would sell the rest of her jewellery to Amjad bhai and buy the air tickets and dollars to come to Singapore. Once there she would figure out a way to get a job and a work permit. She didn't want to stay in India anymore. Lest Rahul create a scene. The manager helped her out by giving her a transfer to the Singapore branch. Hence she didn't have to leave her job and she could stay in Singapore legally with a work permit. The bank also gave her the air tickets to travel so she saved up money over there too. Ali was the happiest to hear this news. He had gone to London in between and talked to her father about their relationship. Her father and mother were quiet. Didn't say much. They were blank at first but then gave their consent after Ali made them talk to Simran. Ekta was also informed and she was really excited for her sister. She wanted her sister happy, that's all that mattered to her.
As the plane touched down her heart started to pound. She was excited like a little girl going to Disney land for the first time. There was a bump and the screeching sound of the wheels of the airplane. Touchdown! She was here. 'Welcome to Singapore,' the air hostess announced. Simran couldn't wait to see Ali. Time seemed to slow down. The queue in front of the immigration counter seemed to move at a snail's pace. Had she her way she would have flown out of the airport. Finally it was her turn. The officer scanned her passport asked her different questions about her stay. Looked at her and finally stamped her passport and welcomed her to his country. Simran smiled and thanked him and headed towards the baggage counter. Her bags seemed to take for ever to come. The more she hoped that things would go faster the more time it was taking. As fate had it her bags were the last to come. Finally with her bags on the trolley Simran pushed out towards the exit gate of the airport. There right outside the gate she could see Ali pacing up and down. On seeing her he ran up to her and swept her in his arms. Before she could open her mouth to greet him, she found it stopped by a long, devouring kiss which sent tingles of excitement through her body. She had missed him so much. Finally they were together.
A black Mercedes Benz stopped in front of them and Ali gestured towards the trolley that carried Simran's luggage, telling the driver to pick up the luggage. He directed Simran towards his car and opened the door for her. As she sat inside she could not help but marvel at the luxury of the car. She was in awe of the car with plush leather seats and touch control panels and personal LED screens. She looked at Ali and gave her approval for his taste. He smiled and put his arm around her shoulder and pulled her close to him. The car took them to his apartment on Compassvale Road to The Luxuries. The city seemed more beautiful than any other. He clasped her hand tightly and leaned back on the seat, just looking at her face. The car stopped in front of a plush building with sparkling Italian marble floors and spotless glass doors. Ali stepped out of the car and held out his hand to help Simran out. He walked her towards the elevator and waited for the elevator to come down to the ground floor. Ali slipped his arm around Simran's waist and pulled her close. Simran was in awe of where she was and was looking around the lobby like a little girl in Disney Land. They took the elevator to the 40th floor. There were only two apartments on the floor. The floor had a huge lobby which was carpeted and felt like a seven star hotel. Ali turned the key and they were in his apartment. It was a beautifully done apartment that oozed in luxury. The floor was spic and span. You could actually see your face in the tiles. There was a huge balcony that faced a park and swimming pool below. The chauffeur brought in her luggage and a maid appeared. Ali introduced Simran to the maid whose name was Anne, and asked her to make tea for them. "Where do you want your luggage placed? My room or do you want your own room?" He winked at her teasingly. She smiled and said that it didn't matter. All the rooms were her's from now on. They had tea and cake and after Anne had left they were alone again, Ali walked up to her in the balcony. It was dark, apart from the street lights. The city looked beautiful from up there. He held her close from behind and whispered in her ear "I love you my girl."
"Truly?" she teased
"Truly," He said thickly. " I have a suggestion to make."
"Mm?"
"Why don't we get married and go to Switzerland for a honeymoon?"
A radiant burst of happiness spread through her body like sunrise.
"That is totally cool with me," she whispered.
An equal flare of triumph and joy blazed in Ali's eyes. He hugged her hard, then reached up and tugged sharply at the cord on the roof of the balcony. A shutter came down, shutting the balcony view and he began calmly unbuttoning her blouse.
"We've been apart for too long," he murmured into her ear. "Why don't we celebrate our reunion by making love all over the apartment? Starting with the balcony?"
She swayed against him like a purring cat. A slow delicious smile curved her lips.
"Yeah, why not?" She agreed.
