"Quick! Hurry! Enter the vault!" A woman shouted and rushes her young child onto the safe vault as the werewolves were running their way to the village they live in. The young girl did as what her mother told her and quickly hid inside the vault while her mother gets in afterwards.
Loud thuds and footsteps can be heard that was coming from outside. It made the little girl jump out due to nervousness and was frighthened. The footsteps became louder and her mother knew that they have arrived at the small village.
'Why are they attacking us?' The young girl thought and trembled in fear as she remembered the terrifying sight of a werewolf. They were big, strong, and looked like dogs who were very wild and aggressive. Remembering the sight of a werewolf, she instantly noticed the loud screams coming from the outside.
"AAAHHH!" She jumped out of fear once again and grabbed her mother's arm as she tries to hold her squirms in, trying not to let out a sound for them to hear.
The only sound that was filled in their vault was their heavy breathing and tiny squirms coming from both of their mouths. As the screams go on, the young girl can't help but cry as her mother hushes her while caressing her daughter's head.
"It's gonna be alright.. Hush.." She whispered and her daughter nodded, her hands shaking. Few hours passed and they noticed the large silence that filled the outside of their vault.
'They might have left.' Her mother thought, mustering up the courage to step outside of the vault but of course, it wasn't just like that. Her mother was suddenly swept to the air as a tall, big man grabs her by the collar. "Stop! P-Please!" The girl pleaded and the man's focus turned on to the girl who was begging to spare her mother.
Then, the man returned its gaze onto the girl's mother, staring at her with such a deep look on his eyes. It reminded him of his deceased wife and the child he never had.
He suddenly lets go of the woman's collar as the woman fell onto the floor with a loud thud, catching her breath aggressively. The young girl then hurriedly rushed up to her mother as worry filled the girl's eyes more.
"Thank you, Mister." She said to the werewolf and he did not say anything in return. He turned to face the windows of their home as he gets a cigarette out of his pocket. Inhaling some smoke while puffing a grey smoke into the windy air.
It was very cold that night and the rest of the werewolves have returned the pack with lots of gold due to what happened today. The man thought about this and huffed a smoke once more as sadness looms over his eyes. He did not want any of this, he only wanted was a warmth from a family.
He turned to look at the woman and her child and suddenly a brilliant idea came to his mind. "The three of us will live under the same roof. That's the payment for you to live." He said and there was no backing out from there.
The mother thought that this was utterly ridiculous and how could they live together with a werewolf who has killed many lives. She turned to look at her daughter and sighed. There was no other choice and so she nodded in agreement as she feels her legs tremble.
"Good. What's your name, little one?" He asked the young girl who had lost one of her eyes.
"Ruby."
