Nora woke up to sunlight entering the room. "Good morning." A deep, melodious voice said, she nuzzled into the pillow. She felt a hand on her cheek and found herself leaning into it, "Wake up Nora."
She smiled, "Five minutes."
"Tina's here." He said. She jacknifed and sat up straight, she saw Luke sitting on the bed beside her, "She's here for the last one hour. You might want to get out now." He said.
Nora's mind started replaying yesterday's events looking at Luke sitting beside her, the sunlight from the window appeared to make a halo around him and made him look godly. And then he smiled, the smile which made her melt. Before she could do anything, Luke picked her up from the bed onto her feet. "Waking you up is a real task." He said.
She looked at him and then to her feet, hiding her red face.
He looked down at her, even after her fearless confession, she was shying away now, adorable. She was in his clothes which were obviously too big for her. The shirt was slipping down from one of her shoulder, showing her smooth skin, her messy hair fell down to her shoulders, and her flushed face was the cherry on top. "We stand here for another minute, Tina's gonna break that door." He bent down and whispered in her ear.
When they got to the living room, Tina wasn't the only one there, there were Nick and George. She stopped in her steps, Luke put his hand on her back and pushed her to continue walking.
Tina got up as soon she saw Nora, "You idiot! You ran away in that weather, if something happened to you, what was I supposed to do then?!"
"Sorry." Nora said.
Tina looked in between Luke and Nora, "She confessed, didn't she?"
Luke nodded and Nora squirmed in her place. "I knew you were going for the big fish Nora." Tina laughed.
"Don't you have anything better to do." Nora said frustrated.
"No, not at the moment. But you finally listened to your heart. I am proud of you." Tina pulled her into a hug. "We'll go now. You can have him all to yourself and continue where you left." She said softly.
Nora pulled away, she tripped over the sweatpants and almost fell on the ground but Luke held her. "She'll be a handful Luke. Take care of her. Now all of us will leave." She looked at George and Nick, not giving them an option.
"You can leave me now." Nora said.
"Oh no, I'm afraid you'll fall down again." He said and picked her up in his arms, she squealed, "Put me down, I can walk on my own." She yelled.
"Well yesterday you were the one who jumped into my arms and refused to get down. What happened today?" He smirked.
"Yesterday was different." She huffed.
"You're right. Yesterday we were just friends but today we are something more."
"Now we're girlfriend, boyfriend." She whispered to herself.
"No," he announced, she looked up at him, "you're mine and I'm yours." He kissed her on the top of her head.
"But I really need to use the bathroom." She said.
He chuckled and put her down, "Freshen up and come down. And your clothes are already in the bathroom."
Nora looked at him and smiled, then rushed to the bathroom. Her clothes were washed and dried on the clothing rack, next she took a long relaxing shower.
Coming down Luke was nowhere to be seen, she sat down on the stool, waiting for him.
She felt a hand wrap around her waist and then a kiss on her temple, "Let's get the breakfast ready." He came and stood in front of her. Nora's eyes widened when she saw he was in the t-shirt she wore last night, "I wore that yesterday, why are you wearing it today?"
"I have a lot of white t-shirts." He shrugged.
"It still has the ketchup mark from yesterday's dinner." She pointed.
He looked down at the mark completely oblivious of the fact, "I did not see it." Nora giggled, "why did you even wear that?"
He leaned in close to her, "I want to be close to you, I need to smell you on me every moment."
Her mouth dropped open and her cheeks reddened, she looked around, "Breakfast, I'm hungry." She stammered.
"Wait a minute." He chuckled.
He placed a plate of pancakes and bacon in front of her, she smiled, "Thank you." She mumbled. He sat down across her with a coffee mug, "You're not eating?" She asked.
"No. I already did." He said.
"Alone? You ate alone? You could have woken me up." She said slamming her palms lightly on the table.
He smiled at her reaction, "Okay. I'll be careful next time. But you should eat before it gets cold." He pointed at her plate.
Nora dug in without any delay, "This is good. Really good." She said between her bites, "Where is it from?"
"What do you mean? I cooked that." He said taking a sip of his coffee.
"You can cook? That is great." She said elated.
She finished up with the meal and was sipping her juice, her hand busy fidgeting with the fork. Luke looked at her, "What is it Nora?"
"Huh? Nothing." She said. He arched his eyebrows and looked at her intently. She felt his gaze pierce right through her and she finally spoke, "Will you cook for me when I'm here. I mean you're a good cook and your food, it's delicious–" She looked at him, he was smiling his perfect smile. She sighed in relief and smiled, "Will you?"
"Anything you say will be done." He grabbed her hand and laced his fingers with hers and brought their hands close to his lips and kissed her hand. "I'll drop you back, get ready." He said.
He dropped her off in front of the dorm, "Take care." He said. She smiled back and got off, he did not drive away until she got inside. Nora was on cloud nine, she walked into her room, Tina was on her phone, "I'll call you back." She hung up. "Come here," she pulled Nora by her arm and into a chair, "tell me everything that happened." She said.
Nora told her everything from the starting, she confessing, her staying at his place and everything else. "Oh Nora. You are such a baby." She hugged her tightly. "I am so happy for you. And you know what we can now go on double dates. Isn't it exciting?! Wait I'll tell Nick about it." And she was off.
Nora laid down in her bed, and pulled the covers on top of her when her thoughts became too occupied by him.
