"Wake up Nora! Wake up!" Joseph was shouting at the top of his voice.
"What's the matter with you? Go away." She said in groggy voice.
"Wake up now!" It was Rachel now.
Nora finally put her head up, she had slept here in the auditorium at their table, not wanting to return to the dorm. "What time is it?" She said trying to clear her vision.
"It's 10. Where's the USB drive?" Joseph said.
Nora couldn't make out his words, and looked at him confused.
"It's not there. I looked for it everywhere, not a trace." It was Luke, he looked furious.
"Where is it Nora?" Joseph asked her again.
"Where is what? I don't understand a word you're saying." She looked at all of them, they looked tensed and somehow it seemed she was the reason for it.
"The USB drive, it's gone. We cannot find it anywhere, we've searched the room, our bags, fucking everywhere, it's not there." Rachel explained. "You were working on the patches, did you take it?"
"No. I did not. Luke offered me but I refused. I don't know where it is." She stood up and went through her bag, "It's not in here too."
"Don't play any games, I remember you came in the room around dawn, you are the one who took it!" Joseph said disgusted.
"I've been here all night, I did not come to room, I was sleeping here!" She defended herself.
"You're lying." He yelled.
"I am not. And what proof do you have to say that I did it." She shouted.
"I saw it with my own eyes, you entered the room, I asked you to shut the door and you did. Then you searched the room for something and left." He exclaimed.
"What kind of a story is that? I did not come to the room, I did not even leave the auditorium, damn it!"
"Calm down both of you." Luke interjected. "Nora, are you telling the truth?"
"Yes, I am. Why would I lie?" She said.
"Um, excuse me. Hi Nora." A blond hair girl called out.
"Who are you?" Nora asked confused.
"Come on, don't joke around. We met last night. Anyway thanks for letting me borrow this." She looked around and put a USB drive on the table. "It was of great help. See you around dear." She smiled and left.
Nora looked at the drive dumbfounded, her brain was busy taking in everything that was happening in front of her.
"That's it. This is the one!" Joseph shouted. He took the drive. Without any delay he inserted the drive in his laptop.
"It's gone. Everything." He said in disbelief.
"What?! Step aside." Luke pushed him aside and Rachel peeped into the laptop. "Fuck." He muttered.
"How do you explain this Nora?" Rachel barked.
"I don't know. I don't even know who she is. I don't know what's going on." She stammered.
"Quit pretending already. You fucking sold us out." Joseph shouted.
"No. I didn't and you don't even have any proof. I am not the culprit ." She yelled.
"That girl, what she said, it clears as a proof Nora." Rachel narrowed her eyes.
"But I didn't." She said in a small voice.
"Enough Nora!" Rachel shouted. "Not a single word from your mouth now."
"What are we going to do now?" Rachel said frustrated.
"Ask the one responsible." Joseph smirked.
"Hey.." Nora started, Rachel gave her a scornful look, she stopped.
"Listen, we'll do something, we have to. You both go and prepare for the presentation." Luke said to Rachel and Joseph.
"Presentation? We don't even have a project." She said frustrated.
"Rachel just listen to what I say. Go and practice." He looked at her.
Rachel sighed, "Okay, come Joseph." They gave Nora a death stare and left. She saw them disappear round the corner and spoke up, "Luke, I.."
"Nora, don't. Just leave me alone." He looked at her with disappointment in his eyes.
She nodded and stomped away, she was burning with rage. She looked around the auditorium for the girl, the sole reason for this trouble. She found her, she stood in a crowd with her back to Nora, laughing happily.
Nora paced towards her, and pushed her, "Who the fuck are you?" She shouted.
"Look who's here. You didn't like the surprise dear." She smirked.
"Easy little girl." Julia stepped from behind the girl. "What is the matter?"
"Matter? You stole our project and made me your scapegoat." She shouted.
She gave an evil smile, "Yes I did that but how are you going to prove it. There's nothing you can do."
Nora held her by the collar of her t-shirt, "What did I ever do to you? I don't even know you!"
"You did nothing it's just that I don't like you." She smiled.
Nora's grip tightened. "Listen little girl, there's nothing you guys can do, pack your bags and leave." Julia patted her wrist.
"Nora! Let go of her." Luke rushed towards her.
"No. She took it, our project." She shouted.
"I understand Nora, just let go." He put his hand on her wrist, her grip loosened.
"Oh you're here Luke." Julia straightened her t-shirt, "Why don't you take your animal with you." She looked at Nora.
"Julia, why don't you leave before I set her on you. You've got no idea what she can do." Luke said, pulling Nora away from her.
"It's best for you guys, to leave." She smirked.
"We still have 5 hours, who knows what might happen." He said.
"I wouldn't be that confident, if I were you." Julia looked at him.
"You aren't me. Just hope your connections are strong enough to save you." He looked her in the eye, and left pulling Nora behind her.
