Ethan 's POV
After 2 years !!
" Good morning Ethan ! I wish you a very happy birthday ! "
the sudden soft , warm voice from the recorder woke me up . The very alluring sound of Grace. , How can I even sleep for a second after hearing her voice .
My eyes fluttered opened as I tilted my head to the left where the recorder was kept on the bed side table . Seeing the recorder as if It was her itself I mumered
" you won't let me sleep anymore with that alluring voice of yours right !! "
After saying this and remembering her , it appeared as if I got a renewed energy . I immediately sat from my laying position and my eyes immediately felt on - that tree, my tree .
As i watched it for some time from the window near my bedside , a soft smile displayed itself on my lips .
I immediately left the bed , rushed to the bathroom , washed myself up , did my morning routine and got ready in my special tux which dad ordered to be made only for this special occasion . My birthday.
As soon as I got ready , I ran towards the door of my room , to get out of my house. I ran with such a rush that I collided with Gorgeous ( my pet name for 50 years old sweetest maid of my house , my BFF , my partner in every crime .)
" Ahhh ...." she uttered as she fell on the floor but as usual nothing can come in between me and my tree , so I ignored her and kept on running . But I haven't missed what she said .
" Pal where are you going ? And what's with such a rush ! You haven't even done the breakfast... you .." before she can say another word , I replied in hast , though I was still running and now was at the end of the hallway.
" Gorgeous , I will do breakfast after seeing it. I don't have time now . and sorry for the collision . "
As I rushed through the main door , towards the massive garden , I stopped just fifteen feets away from my tree. I was again amazed by it , by its beauty , it's massiveness and the number of beautiful white flowers in bunches which grows only once in a year in my birthday month. September.
An exquisite scene Infront of my eyes as I started at my tree with pink leaves and white bunch flowers with a smile on my face .
This tree is my love !!! My eternal love .
Wait !! you don't believe it !!
well you will .... soon .
" Madam are you alright ? Where is the little master ? I have done all the arrangements for the breakfast and the master is calling for him " said the other made to Gorgeous.
" I am alright . And as for the breakfast part , don't you see it's his birthday , don't you remember what our little master do on his every birthday , and what is most important for him on this occasion . Well sometimes I think he might even forget to breathe in his chase of doing the most important thing in the world according to him " , Gorgeous stated with a warm smile on her face .
As the other maid left , Gorgeous went towards one of the windows and saw his little master looking at the tree with affection .
she sighs ... and mummers with a soft smile and a bit of pain in her eyes .
" What wonders she did on my little master ! If only she were there with him .... "
With disappointment in eyes , she left to attend to other works.
After few minutes of absolute silence and gazing with intense emotions , Ethan slowly made his way to the tree . He slowly raised his hand and touched the bark of the tree with so much care as if it was not a hard tree but a China doll which might break. He then grazed his fingers on the only word which mattered to him in this world other than his mother's name . It was " GRACE " which was beautifully carved on the wood bark .
Then he raised both of his hands and hugged the tree when suddenly there happened a shower of while small flowers on his shoulder.
" I will love you till eternity. Grace !! " he mumered , with his eyes closed , hugging the tree.
At that moment he was contented .
he was happy .
he was satisfied .
