The Stockholm effect, also known as Stockholm syndrome: a hostage complex that causes a victim to have favorable feelings, dependence, etc. towards their perpetrator.
"Look at what you're saying. I am a doctor. How could I let you get sick?" Yu Gangan held onto his handsome face and squeezed it gently. "To cure you, I will try all different kinds of herbs. I can't guarantee what effect that will have on you."
Both spoke with underlying meanings.
