Kyle was trying his best to remember the contents of the dream he had, yet no matter how hard he tried he just couldn't remember most of it. The only thing he knew for sure, was that he and Sarah would break up, his motorcycle would get scratched, and in the end of the dream he would die.
He couldn't remember how he and Sarah broke up, or the reason why they broke up in the first place. He couldn't remember the day he got the scratch in his motorcycle, he wasn't sure if it was while he was driving, or someone just scratched while parked. Kyle was also unable to remember the most important part of how he died in that. He wasn't even sure if he truly died, he just remembered that it felt extremely painful and his body went cold.
Kyle stood up from his bed and got a bottle of water and sat on the sofa where he tried to calm himself down.
'Panicking about something I'm not really sure of, isn't going to help. I got to calm down...' Kyle then took a deep breath and exhaled.
'Okay then, let's get my thoughts in order. First off, I don't seem to remember much of the dream, I'm not even sure if it was a dream. Still if that is what's going to happen, then I need to do something to prevent my death. Since I can't remember most of what happened in my dream, and only have a vague understanding of what happened. I suppose I should first try and remember what I was suppose to do today.'
Kyle then tried to remember what happened a few days ago. He was given a whole month of paid vacation. The chief gave him the go ahead, since he submitted a great report about some foreign gang, that forces people into hard labor, they use blackmail, scamming, and many other creative ideas to force people to work for them. It also said that they deal with illegal drugs, and human trafficking. Their a pretty huge gang, and Kyle was able to write a great report about them.
The report included interviews with the victims. It also had details of most of the gang's operations and how they conduct it. Kyle even wrote that this gang has some police officer's under pockets, and even an unnamed politician was backing them up.
Reading the report made the chief so happy, he actually hugged Kyle. After that Kyle and Sarah started talking about going to the countryside to meet her parents.
'Oh, that's right today I was suppose to get ready for out trip to the countryside. I remember that I need to buy new hiking shoes. So today I was going to buy the hiking shoes, then what? Damn I really can't remember much.'
Kyle then looked at the time and saw that it was already nine in the morning. 'The mall won't open until ten. I guess I could rest a bit more before I head out.'
...
After resting for a bit Kyle headed out on his motorcycle. When Kyle got to the mall, he parked his motorcycle outside and headed in.
Kyle's way of shopping was quick and efficient, since he already knew what he wanted to buy, he didn't get distracted by anything else and headed straight to the shoe store. He was even quick as he picked his hiking shoes. Kyle chose the first pair he saw, asked someone to find a size that fits him, and he bought it.
As he was paying he felt a bit relieved that he bought this without his girlfriend with him. If Sarah was with him, he would've been forced to try out ever shoe in the shop, and even after that she wouldn't be satisfied. Though trying all the shoes of one shop and going to the next sounded tedious, seeing the happy smile on Sarah's face made Kyle happy as well.
'Huh, I guess it would've been fun if she was here buying with me.' While walking back to his motorcycle couldn't help but smile as he thought of his girlfriend, which once again raises the question why did they break up in his dream.
...
Kyle got on his motorcycle and was about to leave, but then he saw a train of pushcarts coming towards him. Kyle was stunned in place when the train of pushcarts hit his motorcycle, which resulted it getting a scratch on the right side.
A man was running towards Kyle and when he saw what happened to his motorcycle he quickly apologized.
"I'm sorry, it was an accident. Are you alright?" Seeing Kyle wasn't responding and simply staring at the scratch on his bike. When the man saw this he thought that Kyle was getting angry at the scratch.
"Don't worry I will pay for everything." The man continued talking, but Kyle simply stared at the scratch without answering.
"Hey buddy, are you alright?" This time the man was getting worried for a different reason.
