Sam was not bothered to represent the sect so that's why he just came here as an average participant.
In front of him, there were 6 stages, 4 of them had large sitting platforms for the people from each sect to sit on.
While on top of them there was a huge room for people with high status to sit in.
The stage that was in the middle was filled with the empires royal family.
Sam was not bothered to look at anybody here and just focused on cultivating a bit more.
Suddenly an uproar started, Sam opened his eyes to see, 10 people walking on the stage, he looked to his right and asked "excuse, can you tell me who they might be" said, Sam.
The guy looked at Sam and immediately said:" are you for real how could you not know about the top 10 most talented cultivators from our generation".
Sam looked at them and only three of them caught his attention, the rest were fodder.
He closed his eyes and just started to cultivate again, he was just a step away from the 6th stage of spirit rank but before he could do anything he put on a mask, why he did?
Well, he was planning to just run away from the empire's group that was going to the Dragon Empire, if he didn't do that the empire would send people after him when he abandoned them in the competition.
The goal that Sam currently had was that much, he wanted to gain the skill from the book then go back to the original bodies family and start to gain some reputation back to the main body.
Right in the middle of the stage that was in front of Sam a huge ball appeared.
Then another person appeared on top of it flying, he said "the competition has officially started, the first challenge for everybody here is to get as close to this orb as they can. When you are at 100 meters you pass the challenge. You may begin the first phase of the test if you pass the test go sit on the seat that is on those empty stages"
Everybody started to run towards the orb but the moment they started running towards it they instantly slowed down as they felt a huge amount of pressure fell up on their shoulders, there were some that did not even feel the pressure such as Sam and the top Geniuses of this empire.
Sam slowly walked towards the passing point then just went out of the stage and sat on the stage that had the other 10 geniuses on it. The first 3 had special chairs that showed their position.
Sam did not even look at them before just sitting on one of the sits, the people were pretty surprised at the outcome, as they expected the people that were in the list of 100 geniuses to be the first few to sit on the chairs but now they just witnessed some random guy finish as the eleventh participant.
The geniuses looked at Sam then one of them tried to sense his cultivation, he immediately sensed Sam's cultivation then looked away as it did not catch his attention.
Slowly the stage started to become crowded with more and more people coming and sitting down.
After 20 minutes the time was up and people who could not reach the minimum requirement failed.
Without even wasting time they moved into the next phase which was to test out the strength of the participants.
In front of everybody, a huge rock appeared and everybody knew what the 2nd phase was.
"As you should all know, the second phase will now be measuring your strength, the minimum requirement to pass this phase is to get a score of 10,000."
The people who cleared the first phase first got to go first in the order they finished but when it came to Sam's turn a guy with masculine built grabbed his shoulder and tried to crush sam's shoulder.
The guy that was grabbing Sam's shoulder was the 11th ranked genius of this empire and now that some spirit rank cultivator was ahead of him made him quite angry.
But sadly for him, the moment he put a bit of pressure Sam immediately grabbed his hand and squashed his fingers together, then said:" might wanna keep your hands to yourself, next time it will be gone, reduced to atoms".
Sam let his hand go and the moment he did the guy screamed in pain and before he could do anything Sam started to walk up the arena.
He went towards the stone, up till now the highest was score was 25,000 which was at the peak of bronze rank, then Sam went up and pulled his hand back, put all his strength in it then throw his fist towards the stone.
The score shown by the rock started to skyrocket, it went passed the highest strength shown previously and reached a whooping 28,000.
Everybody in the competition were left speechless, even the 2nd highest score owner was dumbfounded from the power that Sam showed.
All of them immediately thought that something was wrong with the stone, so they didn't believe what was being shown.
Most of the older and younger people in this arena did not believe the score except some of them.
Such as the king, Sam had caught his attention the moment he finished as the 11th competitor Sam caught his attention for the following reason,
The reason that Sam caught the kings attention was cause of the fact that he was able to finish as the eleventh competitor in the first round and now had the highest score in the second phase.
But the main reason that Sam caught his attention was the fact that he had achieved all this with a cultivation way lower than most of the competitors.
The king wasn't the only person that notice this, the sect leaders and some other people did so to.
The first thing all of them did was to find information on Sam, but since he joined the competition openly and not from some kind of sect they could not find any information on him.
