Chapter 1 - Balls shouldn't be on faces!

"Go, Axl! Go, Axl! Go, go, go, Axl!"

"You can do it!"

"C'mon, just score another one for the team!"

It was one of those days when he heard another round of those indistinctive cheers and chatters on the background. Our annual sports festival. Apparently, it was his turn for the serving of the ball. "Pak!" Axl's spike was heard throughout the gymnasium and it landed.

You kidding? Of course, it landed. It will always land, Axl was the one who did the spike after all.

It was like a regular day for him, as training is always like a sports festival. "This is nothing to me at al- " Was what he thought, smirking until the ball just hit him right on the face. The ball bounced back and went flying throughout the gymnasium, leaving the crowd in awe. Some were laughing and some were worried.

"Shit.." He muttered and instantly blacked out. Out of all the parts the ball should've hit, it had to be on his face. His nose, to be precise.

The next thing Axl knew was that he was already at our school clinic with a tissue up on one of his nostrils. Guess whose nose was bleeding? He snickered at himself, seeing as how it must have been funny to see myself passed out on the gymnasium. But, damn that was humiliating for a student-athlete like him.

He turn to sit up from the bed and saw another student by the window next to the school nurse's desk. He had blonde, short hair and had an average height- while he was doing nothing, just staring blankly at the orange sky outside.

For some reason, Axl was captivated by his gaze and continued to stare at him like a weirdo. He was curious to see as to what that strange man was looking or rather, staring at outside. The thought made him feel giddy and jumpy inside. Sooner or later, the man noticed his staring presence and turn to look at him.

Axl looked away, feeling all embarrassed as to how he was caught staring. The guy scoffed and took a short glance before going on his way, leaving Axl all alone at the school clinic.

"So weird." Axl thought. He stood up from the clinic bed and checked to inform the nurse that he was okay already so he can go now. Apparently, the nurse was nowhere to be found.

He noticed the other bed beside him that was being covered by a curtain and checked it out, and found nothing. Sighing as to how bored he was from that room, he went outside and decided to inform them later.

"Well, they'll be able to realize I'm fine since I'm not there, right?" He thought out loud.

Axl went out of the school clinic and found the hallways to be empty as seemingly, no one was around. He started to feel nervous as these kinds of things make him jumpy- it was what he always see on horror movies. Being alone and with no one to hold on while he's being dragged by some unknown creature, towards the world of those demons- but of course, he's just being a scaredy cat.

Wandering around, he realized that it was already late afternoon as seeing how the skies were already a shade of orange. "Why didn't I notice the skies earlier?" He mumbled to himself, remembering his time earlier at the clinic.

And then, it clicked. It hit him. "Who the hell was that guy earlier?" Axl was sure he had never seen that man before or at least, had never noticed that guy. He began to wonder if he might had seen him from before.

"Could it be a ghost?" He thought, giving his self shivers on his body. "It can't be.. Ghosts aren't real, right?" He tried to calm himself down as he reached the stairs that was outside.

Axl went down the stairs and noticed someone was there from below the surface of the stairs, sitting while holding out his hand. Axl couldn't figure what that mysterious man was doing so he went closer and saw that he was smoking cigarettes. Marlboro.

The guy noticed him and immediately went to him, surprising Axl with a choke on his neck. Who would want to be caught smoking within the school premises?

Axl was shocked by this and was struggling by this man's grip. Taking a closer look at the man, he noticed that it was the student from earlier at the clinic- except, he wasn't in his uniform anymore.

"W-Wait.. S.. Stop!" Axl said while hitting the guy's arm, indicating that he needed to take a breather and to stop him from choking Axl. The man let go of his grip, letting Axl go and fall while breathing excessively.

"What the fuck, dude!" Axl shouted. The man glared at him while scoffing. "Tell anyone I was smoking here and you're dead." He replied, leaving Axl on the floor speechless.

Axl sat there, watching the man walk away from him as if he didn't do anything earlier- like choking someone from the neck. He didn't even bother to look back and completely went on. Without Axl realizing, he was drawn to him. Together with the man's insane features, not to mention- the fucking personality.

Axl got up and fixed his clothings. He proceeded to go down as that weird man continue to linger on his mind.
