Jiang Lai sent little Xu and Ji Mianmian back home.
Ji Mianmian walked out of the elevator. She had only taken a few steps when she looked up and saw something hanging on her door.
She felt that her steps were particularly heavy, and the things in her hands were getting heavier and heavier.
It fell to the ground with a clang.
Ji Mianmian stood where she was and sniffled. She wanted to cry, but like a dried up River, she could not cry no matter what.
She walked to the door and took off the things on the door.
A packet of sugar-fried chestnuts and a roasted sweet potato were still warm. She could almost see someone placing them here.
Ji Mianmian turned around, her eyes red. She looked at the empty space behind her. Both elevators had stopped on their floor.
