Chapter 1 - The understanding

"First you need to understand the art" a firm voice of a Sath ji a white bearded man with rounded mustache said, "any art for that matter that you wish to persut". Luke had known this always as he was an artist himself. He loved singing. He was ready or at least he thought he was. But for now maybe that was enough. Luke looked up as he was on his knees looking at the dry ground and said

"I am ready"

"are you? "

"yes, I understand this is not about the fight but about the peace"

"and how you propose to keep the peace by learning to fight? "

Luke had nothing to say but he was determined to convince Sath ji to be his master.

He looked up and said "by protecting the innocent "

Sath ji looked away and said "what happened to your knuckles? "

Luke looked confused as he tried to hide his knuckles behind his back but it didn't mattered.

He knew the ramifications of his truth but if he wanted to be the disciple he had ought to be true to his master.

he said "had a fight, but I didn't started it nither I wanted to end it like this"

There was remorse in his voice.

Sath ji said "see it's all not just about fighting it's about being present, being conscious in the moment. Being a good observer". "tell me what happened!? "

"there was kid teasing trisha when I confronted he and his friends pushed me down so I punched him and ran away"

"and now you fear they'll catch you again and beat you up in front of your sister? "

"yes"

"that's no reason to learn martial arts, go get beat up for your sister and end it with peace"

"but why always bad people should get away bullying good people? "

"they will get what they deserve "

A cold breeze hit Luke's face and for a moment he closed his eyes and felt the breeze.

"I understand " he said.

"I understand that love and forgiveness have a power like this mother nature forgives us, we pollute still we get free fresh breeze and get to experience the beautiful sun set. I know there's power in forgiveness, we can harness more power spiritually than physically."

Sath ji sensed a goodness of his heart and love for his sister.

He called out to him to sit like he was for a meditation and that only was the beginning.
