Back in moon city.
Aldrax sat alone in his room looking out the window. He had to think long and hard. His face like that of an aristocrat vampire , high cheek bones, thin lips , shocking voilet eyes and midnight black shoulder length hair that could be tied at the back. His emotionless face stared into the distance producing quite a picturesque view, while his mind was running, planing , plotting.....even if he had to kill to reach his goals.
Killing never phased him,killing was simple. Some people called him cold blooded, it didn't matter , he never cared what they said or thought.
They didn't know him, nobody did.
He had to act fast , he knew his father well.Well enough to know that King Keeran could easily dispatch of him long before the testing for the future King where he had to contest with his brother. Brother... the word didn't even evoke feelings in him.
At times he wondered if he had a heart . He felt nothing...his eyes turned gloomier as rain began pelting his windows.
"P-prince Aldrax?, the king , your father requests your presence in the throne room." A servant said from behind his door.
He was wise not to knock, the last two lost their lives because they disturbed him in his quiet place.
With a sigh he left his place by the window.
The throne room.
"Father ,you called?" Ralphus said on entering the throne room and immediately turned solemn after sporting his father and his younger brother . The two couldn't stand themselves.
He often wondered what made his brother so cold hearted.
He was forced to admit the were times when he was scared of him.
"Ralphus , Aldrax.." the king addressed them so formally,
"As I'm sure you know the lunar festivities are approaching , you should all be preparing for our annual travel to the Sun kingdom."
"Father?, are we to go this year?" Ralphus asked quite surprised, this was the first time their father would take them in all his 18years of life.He was quite happy .
Aldrax on the other hand only narrowed his eyes. He never trusted the old man.
' what does he have in store now..'
"when would we be leaving?" Ralphus continued quite happy his father was including him in the country's affairs.
"Both of you will be coming with me in two weeks time to Sun city" King Keeran said quite dissatisfied.
"Wait...both of us?...but father! , when I was Aldrax's age I wasn't allowed to go for these journeys!" Ralphus furrowed his brows quite resentful. ' Why did people always choose his brother?'
"...Yes Ralph but this decision was placed by the elders and we as the royal family who strive for peace must accept their words" King Keeran tried appeasing Ralphus, all this was done in front of Aldrax.
It didn't matter.It never did.It never will.
Ralphus visibly calmed down due to his father's appeasing not noticing the false love in his father's eyes. But Aldrax saw, he always did from a young age and that's why the king never liked him.
He saw how vile and wretched the man behind the crown was...
"With that being said , you should prepare..." The king dismissed them without even looking up and picking a grape fruit fron a tray filled with fruits that a servant brought in.
Aldrax didnt say a word.He never did.
