I'M NOT a god and I will never be. I was just stuck in this misery longer than anyone else. Longer than I intend to. Longer suffering than they do.
I am Aeon. The cursed child. I can't get out of this forever. I am bound in this hell forever.
"Mistress, it's time." A female voice behind me spoke.
I nodded. "Let this thing begin."
.. . ...
"MISTRESS AEON please! Ayaw ko pang mamatay!" A woman begged in front of me kneeling like she's praying. Praying for her dear life. No she's not dying, but the people around her were looking where she'd been.
As I look at her blankly, my mind was smirking. Who wants to die, anyway?
"What can you do or give?" I asked her boredly. Everyone who calls me knew the price they have to take before coming here. It must be something valuable. Something that could please me.
With shaking hand, she pulled out what she brought. Golds. Yes, she got golds. Her pouch full of gold jewelries. Jewelries that was given to her, and the rest she stole from her lovers' possession. The lovers she manipulated for her own selfish reason. She manipulate a rich people to collect those golds. Screw them. Trick them with her beauty. She did knew the least thing I will receive in exchange of her request.
"How much can you give?" I asked again.
It's a pure gold and she's greedy. One look of the possession she stole was enough to change her mind. If she hadn't made up her mind, she would get some and I will surely reject her.
"All." She replied boldly and stepped back so I could see the bag of gold she bought. Her mind is made up. Well, after all, she could collect more of them when she have all the time of the world.
She did exchange her soul just to live in timeless world. Greedy but a smart move for her.
"Cleia." I called someone behind me.
A girl from the dark showed up.
"My Liege." She greeted me.
"Grant her request." I ordered her boredly.
"Yes, Master." She replied and went to the girl who wants to live forever. "Follow me."
The girl stood up quickly that she almost stumbled. The golds behind her fade and I can see her smile. With tears streaming in her eyes, she look at me gratefully. "T-Thank you, Mistress Aeon."
I didn't reply nor watch them leave. I just look at the full moon on the sky. How many times should I witness this? Greedy people. Hopeless. Desperate.
A moment later, two people appeared again in front of me.
A boy about my age with a girl on his arms. He's covered by her blood. She's barely breathing. I can sense life slowly fading out from her.
"Aeon, help me." The boy begged in front of her with tears of despair streaming on his face. "Let her live."
"You know the price." I replied with the same cold tone I used. I know this would happen.
He nodded and look at the girl on his arms with tears on his face. "Just let her live."
"A life in exchange of life." I said.
He nodded again.
"Take me." He cried out. "Take me."
I look at them. I don't know how many times he muttered those two words. He's nearly knocked by insanity and he's only holding at my word.
I know the girl. I know who they are. I know what they knew.
I look at his determined eyes.
"I just hope you won't regret this." I muttered.
"As long as she lives, I never will." He said with a tear escaped from his eyes.
I can feel certainty in his voice.
I stood up and walked to them.
"Castiel Drake Martin, I shall grant your request. You and Cleia Emerald Louven shall live with the same length of time." I paused and eyed him. "As a punishment, all her memories will be erased. You shall both live separately and only Cleia can brought you back together. This, I grant today."
"I'm taking my curse, Mistress Aeon." He bowed his head and they both slowly vanish in front of me.
He knew it is a curse. A lifetime curse no spell can break. A curse that even what they called true love can't break.
'Go and find your life, Castiel Drake.' My mind whispered.
The vast sky saw what I did. I just take another life into my Realm of Misery.
A moment later, I can feel Cleia came back from sending that girl to where she belongs.
"Go back." I ordered her.
She nodded. Then she also vanish leaving me alone with the moon shining brightly. It's about time.
I stood up and about to take my leave when I someone showed up again.
Unlike the other, she was not desperate. Not broken hearted. She's not asking for life. She's too far from anyone who usually came for me. She doesn't need me at all.
She's wearing a flaming red dress that signifies her mood.
"What brought you here, Claeria?" I asked her coldly.
"To ask forgiveness for what I am about to do." She replied with a smirk.
"Do you really?" I asked her. She's not sorry. She made this all to herself.
"Aeon, you've been my master as long I can remember. Now it's time for me to take what I deserve." She's smiling wickedly at me.
"Have you forgotten what I've done to you?" I asked sharply at her.
Her smile never fade.
"Never will I. But your power will make me more great."
She's been dreading to these all her life. She envied for who I am. Envy. Envy that made people do foolish things. Envy that leads other people suffer.
"Greediness cannot satisfy your desire, Claeria." I said blankly. "You will crave for more."
"Who cares? I am the next Aeon. I can do and have eveything I want, Andree." She smirk when she didn't see any emotion on my face. "Still the cool facade, Aeon. Aren't you curious how I know you're real name?"
"You're rooting for who I am, Claeria. It would be a surprise if you don't know anything about me." I replied using the same tone I used when I talk. There's no use arguing, no use of getting angry. I made her who she is, I know what she's capable of doing.
"Your reign is done." She said and I felt myself immediately caged.
She appears and laugh. Kinumpas niya ulit ang kamay niya at naramdaman kong bumigat ang pulsuhan ko.
I glance at my wrist and saw a chain glimmering. I can feel her power holding me down. It presses me whenever I struggled to get out.
"I am Clockia, and everyone will bow down to me. Only me." She muttered haughtily.
"You'll pay for this." I said with gritted teeth.
Claeria smiled sweetly. Completely unmoved of the consequences she'd been.
"I am ready, my Queen. Your new realm will be called abyss. Sayonara." She replied wickedly and I felt being dropped from the pits of darkness.
.. . .. . ..
YEARS. CENTURIES. MILLENNIUM. I lost track of time.
I look at the mirror in front of me. She's smiling, mocking at me. She's been doing that as long as I can remember. She maybe looked like me but we are bot different personality.
"Still holding to your sanity, Andree?" She asked with her usual haughty tone.
Her face looks mine, but her eyes were crimson red. Her skin as white as snow like mine but her hair were jet black.
"Aeon, you can never have me." I replied weakly.
"Never? Are you kidding me? I've been taking you over and over and this is not only the last time I will." She replied and laughed.
I smiled sadly at her. Yes, it's true. She's been taking in charge for as long as I remember.
"Ano bang balak mo? Let that Claeria slash Clockia take over? You're strong enough to defeat her." Aniya. She's seething in anger of what Clockia did to me. She's been reigning the whole time I am here.
"Let her be."
"Locked up and you still say those freaking words at me?!" She hissed. "It's about time to lead, Andree."
I shook my head. "Let her be, Aeon." I whispered and I drift into space. I need air. "Era." I whispered.
I am too weak to argue.
"My Liege." She replied.
"It's time." I replied.
"Yes, my liege." She replied.
I closed my eyes and saw the light again.
"Please find Light." I whispered silently. I need Light.
.. . ..
I AM Andree Castelle. People came to me to extend their life. No, I can't give life nor can revive the dead, but I can grant to turn their own time and live... With a price.
Every deed needs a price to pay. They knew me as Aeon. Yes Aeon. A 17 year old girl who lived more than anyone. I watch people born and die. I saw them fall in and out of love. I saw people suffer. I saw war and chaos. I witness peace and order. I saw wicked people turn peaceful community into chaos. I saw what a greedy can do.
I am timeless they say, but I am actually stuck on my own ground. Living backwards.
People came to leap time. If I can grant them? Yes, I can. I can grant that to them and they can all do whatever they want. Yes, whatever. They can ruin one's life. They can kill one's dream. They certainly can do whatever they pleases.
We don't have rules to abide aside from the fact that whatever they do got their own consequences. They shall pay all the deeds they do. And I collect them one by one.
And Claeria whom she called herself Clockia, she will pay what she'd done one day and I am going to collect them in ways she never liked.
.. . ...
This is my secret.
