Damien only shrugged his shoulders. "They were only small fries. I need more information on this prince and his forces. He sounds like a real piece of work and definitely not in any good way. But first what to do with these three?" Damien gestures at the 4 severely injured sect masters. Damien was actually suprised these men are still alive and able to move. Any normal human would be unconscious or dead from blood loss alone. Yet despite the blood loss of these men, they actually show signs of slight recovery. Damien knows he definitely delivered a lot of damage to them yet they still show strong signs of life!
The three sect masters trembled. They have never come across someone so powerful. I was just unheard of inside of their city. One man beating five rank 30 immortal cultivator just didnt happen.
"Mu Shin we-!" The sect masters began to attempt to beg for their lives. Dispite potentially losing face, at least they would be able to keep their lives they thought.
"Quiet! you scum have lost even the rights to beg for your lives when you attacked my city! "The sect master responded with a deadly glare at the sect masters. The sect master oozed killing intent in the air.
"You four will be locked up and your meridians sealed. You will be given a trial of the Elders and punishment shall be handed out then."
The sect master then pulled out a talisman from a storage bracelet and broke it. Seconds later multiple powerful elders from the 'Shin' surrounded the four sect masters. The quickly gathered spiritual energy and launched 4 glowing palms into the injured sect masters core region of their bodies. In response, the sect masters tried to put up resistance but it proved futile in the end and the men screamed then fell to their knees. All four men were in a miserable state.
Damien could feel no power at all from the men. They were no different than ordinary humans from earth. Damien needed to study this strange power. These cultivators bodies were unbelievable. By using chants, meditations, or various other tools they were able to use techniques to absorb powers and grow stronger. Right now, grow stronger was the only way to describe this strange phenomenon.
Not to mention the combat abilities. They are able to use martial arts with Chi power or this internal spiritual power to unleash special abilities. As a mage Damien could only use external mana to surround his cells and pull them closer to make his body more durable. that's essentially what his strengthening spell did. Aether made it even stronger. Yet, spells had a set power and unless certain conditions are met, then the strength of the spell would remain the same.
From what Damien could see, cultivators had all kinds of means to grow stronger. Damien would need to get more information on this as soon as possible. He is definitely flying in the dark right now.
"Sect master Mu Shin, can you feel any spiritual energy from me?"
The sect masters furious glare eased and turned from the injured sect masters then shook his head.
"No, you seem like an ordinary mortal to me. Although I can feel the elements from your spells that's only after they manifest themselves. That would make you a threat to any cultivator but you also have the power of a higher level immortal than myself but...."
The sect master blurred and had a blade to Damiens throat in the next second. He managed to easily draw blood with his blade. Thoroughly suprising Damien.
"Firstly, your hand to hand combat experience is almost non-existent. That isn't to say that you completely lack hand to hand combat experience. If those 5 royal cultivators knew that you were was strong as you were they would have attacked you much differently and potentially set up traps. Or they would have brought out a weapon that is strong enough to kill an immortal. In this realm we are bathed in combat from birth in the cultivation world. There are weapons that grow conciousness and become weapons spirits. Demon and Spirit Beast that can transform into humans and utilized techniques and cultivate abilities. There are weapons an treasures with unfathomable abilities.
"Although you are very strong you are too kind and your fleshly body is like paper without your strage magics. One mental lapse from you and you will lose your head. There are evil and treacherous cultivators that will wait until that one moment to strike. Therefore, you must get stronger."
"Here we are a back water city compared to the Capital City of Dao. Honestly you would gain more from to see the city yourself. Go join their Divine Sect Academy if you are able. I myself would accompany you, but I have to restore order to the city and completely integrate the four sects into mine."
He handed Damien a few maps of the area surrounding area. The maps were fairly crude but they could help him navigate this strange land. The sect master also gave Damien books on general information the currency and customs. He handed Damien a large bag filled with stones. Then the sect master smiled.
"The trip from Dragon Rise City to Dao is millions of Li and will be frought with many dangers. You can stay here where its safer if you'd like but I know you have your own journey. Even I am not sure what you will come across. I myself have only gone out after I had generations of cultivation under my belt but that was before I became an immortal and to think jumping five realms. When you arrive in the capital city you will see how much of a difference each realm possesses. My troublesome disciple, this sect master can never repay your gives and contribution to the Heavenly Ascension Sect! You are an offical elder of the sect."
He handed Damien a sect elders badge made of a strange metal.
Damien received the badge and cupped his hands with a bow.
"Thank you sect master for your gracious gifts. I'll not trouble you further and be off! I just have to handle a few thing before I full depart."
"I'll not see you off then. "
With a flick of his hand a massive bird appeared above the sect master and he jump on top of it and flew into the city.
Watching the departing sect master, Damien knew he could not return to the city for a while.
The people would take years to fully grasp their magical abilities and to also educate themselves. It wouldnt be hard pressed to say that it could be at least 10 years before the 1st few mages are fully trained up to required strength. That was okay seeing as how Damien had no idea how long it would be before he could return to his dimension.
He set off on a road that was in the direction of the Capitol City and began walking. As he walked he observed his environment. He admired the sheer beauty of the place. Exotic plants he couldn't describe. Various trees of different sizes. Here and there Damien would see trees with colorful leaves and plants. Some trees looked metallic while some had leaves that was similar to silk. Damien walked for hours and got bored and began reading the different books he had received.
He learned that on this planet their was alchemy but it was to concoct pills instead of potions. They also used plants and various liquids similar to Planet Damascus but you needed something called a soul flame to fuse the ingredients together. This soul flame could also be used to create spirit weapons, armor, and even items that unleash powerful abilities.....
After hours of reading, he storing that book and opened another began to read.
...Items ranks are based on there strengths or destruction levels. From weakest to strongest are as follows Ordinary, Mortal, Earthen, Transcendent, Immortal, Heavenly ranked....
Damien continued to walk and ponder and read and moved on to information about the 'Divine Sect Academy'.
The Academy is essentially the training grounds for the top sects in the land. Since the capital city the biggest power house in the land. At least according to the book. This author spoke about the Acadamy with fervor and had a biased outlook on the capital city. The academy was a sect in of itself meaning if anyone went against the sect then they would be deemed tratiors and would be killed on sight.
The sect had it's own ranking system. Outer sect disciple, inner sect disciple, core displeased, and immortal disciple. Without a recommendation from a sect you have to begin with a outer sect assessment. It is held ever few months....
The book was very broad and lacking very many specifics. It looks like I'll have to find out more information. I know for sure that I'll have to alter my looks. I'm definitely too old but after the divine power in my body I look like a 19 year old god.
"With these awesome ripped muscles and awesome hair what woman wouldn't love me! Hahaha! Yet, I better change my appearance."
He took out his staff and channeled his divine powers on himself. Within seconds a golden glow dimmed and Damiens appearance changed to have asian facial features of a young 17 or 18 year old man. He appeared like an ordinary human mortal. Damien took out his Chaos blade. He read that most cultivators ride on blades that conserve spirit energy or flying spirit or demon beasts. Damien took out his staff and with a thought turned it into an ordinary looking blade.
Jumping on the staff turned blade Damien channel all his speed and headed towards the direction of the city. Traveling at his current speed of 30,000 meters an hour he should arrive in the city within a few months of flying. He would take a short rest in inns along the way but he would head straight there immediately.
