Chapter 12 - Equipping the units 1/2

Damien needed to prepare his newly summoned troops before doing anything else and figure out. He wanted to test out his new transmutation spell. He noticed it did not say for living beings he could not use dead bodies. The beast transmutation portion of the spell only uses DNA organic things living or dead. So with that thought, Damien used his earth magic to resurface the bodies of the bandits into a pile. There were ten bodies that he had buried earlier that weren't taken away by beasts from the forest so he would start with these. He then thought about what he wanted to create, war horses. He pointed one hand towards the bodies of the bandits and one towards a nearby open area and pushed his will into the spell. There was a glowing transparent purple, surrounded by a gold light, in both arms and in a golden light the bandits' bodies disintegrated into nothingness. When the bodies were completely gone, a golden light surrounded the open area and when it died down five of the biggest horses Damien had ever seen were now occupying the open space. They were all different colors of black, light and dark brown, red, and completely white. They were 7 feet tall and had to weigh hundreds of pounds. They were very muscular and already equipped with a saddle with many straps and buckles to tie things down with and saddlebags on both sides of the mount. The horse was regal and stood with grace. This new power was a major game changer. Damien then went to each horse and wanted to test out his skill imbue spell. First stepping to the white horse he moved closer to the mount and willed power into his spell. Again there was a purple and gold transparent light around the mount and a status screen appeared over the body of the mount showing its skills and attributes.

Fearless Mount- Will never question the commands of the rider and will do its best to preserve the life of its rider.

Seeing the upgraded mount Damien was satisfied, to say the least, and did the same to the other 4 mounts. With this increase in movement by the mount and its riders movement while riding, they will be extremely formidable in a battle. The mount can cover large distances in a very short time and would hardly tire out. While the rider whether ranged or melee would cut through any formation put in front of it. At least, with warfare based in the middle ages of the earth. He wondered though, though where did the saddlebags come from? So, Damien asked the system.

[[The saddlebags were from the leather armor that the bodies still had on them. If the host wants to only use the organic portions of a material the host must specify that with his thoughts and will. Otherwise, the system will use all of a material that the Host suggests.]]

Okay, and I want to make special leather armor but,I want to use a special metal from earth. If I use my earth magic to summon ore from the earth, could I use the ore that I find as a material?

[[Yes, so long as the host does not create anything with his earth magic and will alone, it can be used in the divine transmutation process.]]

Okay so, I can create a new type of metal and currently the strongest metal on modern earth, Magnesium Alloy. To locate this metal Damien kneeled and put both hands to the earth and pulled on his mana core and will to locate iron ore. Once he felt multiple sources of iron veins deep underground he began to pull the tons of the ore extracted from the rock in his direction. The pressure on his mana core was immense. He had to rest several because of the drain on his mana core, yet after the fifth time resting it became a bit easier and slightly less taxing. That let him know his mana core must have risen by a whole Tier during this taxing ordeal. Five hours of pulling the vein under the planet's crust, he finally felt the veins of iron getting closer to the surface. After resting for the 6th time, Damien with a great heave pulled the collected veins up through the ground and to the surface. The rock rose higher and higher until Damien nearly fully exerted himself and he stopped pulling. Drenched in sweat he had a nearly 20 foot tall mountain of rock in front of him full of rock and ore. Exhausted and hungry Damien sat down pulled some fruit out of his inventory and ate it and willed a cup of water next to him on the ground and filled it with water and began to drink while he waited for his mana core to return to normal. Once he was fully replenished he put his hands next to the rock and felt for the ore. He found the iron or as well as many diamonds, rubies, and gemstones of all sizes. Channeling his earth magic he separated all of the rough looking and all the precious stones into separate piles and tossed the rest of the useless stones away. Damien had a massive pile of ore that towered over his head and a pile of precious stones that towered up to his waist. He took out a pile the animal pelts and the animal skins from the many strange deer that he had hunted previously that he had stored in his inventory and he had put them all in there own piles. Now it was time to get to work but Damien needed the systems help. "System can you provide the size measurements of anyone that I ask for and templates for armor and weapons that I need?"

[[Yes, the system can perform these requests at the current hero level. I will upload the template directly into the host's mind.]]

Okay. Thanks system. Okay, I need multiple templates for leather armor for hunters, plate armor for knights, leather armor for assassins, and an RPG mage's robe. For weapons, I need Composite bows, Long swords, Short Swords, Wrist Crossbows, normal crossbows, Iris daggers, ankle combat knives. I need to make a mage's staff.

Okay, time to armor the troops. Damien directed his attention to his half naked troops. Everyone line up in a horizontal straight line behind me with the ranged troops on the left. "Yes, sir!" They all projected loudly with a salute of their fist going over their hearts and they ran to perform the order.

Once they quickly lined up Damien began his work on the commander first. Commander Dulan Step forward. He was a copper skinned muscular man just over 6 feet tall and had the look of a person of middle eastern descent and had shoulder length curly hair. "Sir!", he exclaimed and stepped forward.


With the template in mind, Damien pointed one hand at the pile and the other at the ranged commander and channeled his mana. A portion of all the piles of all of the items on the ground disintegrated with purple and golden transparent glow and the man began to glow in a golden light for a few seconds.

When the light faded the man was fully dressed in completely new polished black and green leather armor lined with a half inch of the metal magnesium alloy, which is ultra lightweight more so than aluminum yet is stronger than steel and titanium combined.

The armor was complete with an Assassins Hood that could cover the mouth and nose lined with alloy, Upper body was covered in heavy leather Body armor upgraded to add lightweight metal plating. An alloy Groget for neck protection. Leather Pauldrons with 3 layers for the shoulders. Full leather Greaves for the legs that are flexible with alloy lining the insides and over the vital points. Leather bracers with one of the bracers equipped with a retractable mini composite crossbow and gauntlets that were shaped like gloves both lined with alloy.

Boots that came up to the shins coated with alloy on the outside of the entire boot that made the boots shine in the sunlight. Light alloy chain linked mail was under the entire armor for extra protection.

The armor was made specifically for the commander to his exact measurement with room to expand or detract if the soldier got bigger or smaller for any reason. Damien also added a silver colored metal upper case 'C' encased in diamond to show his rank over the right side of the soldier's chest.

For weapons, the commander had composite bow over his shoulder with a quiver of 100 full alloy arrows with feathers and a smaller quiver on his thigh with 30 mini crossbow bolts two Iris long daggers inside of his belt in sheaths and one combat knife and sheath in his boot.

The two hunters were equipped with thick all black leather padded jackets that came down to the knees and lined with alloy. They only came with a long alloy hunting bow and a quiver with 100 alloy arrows strapped to their backs and a short sword on their side for the upper body and the lower body was equipped the same without any daggers but still came with a boot knife. The hunters had a silver bow with one knocked arrow made out of alloy.

The archer was equipped with the same gear as the commander, but he did not have pauldrons on his shoulders. He was equipped with a composite bow, a short sword, one iris dagger, and one boot dagger. He had a silver bow with two arrows knocked to show his rank on his chest.

After these three were completed, Damien's mana core was low so he rested and ate his fill before continuing on a half hour later. Walking in front of the duel wielding commander Damien continued on with equipping the soldiers. The melee soldiers were much easier due to them all being put in full plate armor.

The melee dual wield commander a was fair skinned long blond hair blue eye mountain of a man with muscles of a bodybuilder with the height to match at just under 7 foot in height, was put in full 1 and a ½ inch thick black plate armor made from alloy from head to toe.

Damien was able to make the metal of the armor so think due to its lightweight nature. The man was imposing, to say the least.

He was equipped with a two handed greatsword with a green gemstone engraved on the top of the hilt where the blade and sword met. sheathed on his back, a long sword and short sword on his sides. A retractable wrist crossbow for a bit of ranged or sneak attacks and an iris dagger. Engraved into his armor was a shield in a green ruby with a red sword crossing over the shield made out of red gemstone.

The two fighters had silver alloy plate chest armor and plate leggings and boots. Under the armor is torso and leggings are alloy chain mail. He had leather greaves with 2 inch thick spiked alloy covering the knuckles. They were equipped with a longsword and shield. On the right side of the armor was a sword engraved into the metal to show the fighter rank.

The knight was equipped in full alloy dark green plate mail. Equipped with a large broadsword and a shield sheathed to his back. A short sword and an iris dagger on his sides. The knight's insignia was an engraved horse head on the right chest plate.

All of the weapons were made out of the same alloy. This would give them extra power behind their weapons when swinging them due to the weapon having the same durability as steel but much easier to swing increasing cutting and penetration power.

Moving on to the last troop my Novice mage Attius. Another fair skinned man with black hair and brown eyes. He was about 5 foot 7 inches in height and look like a teenager standing next to the soldiers as his build was much slimmer and less muscular. He was also not standing at attention but like the other soldiers but he was trying his best, unsuccessfully.

Damien made him alloy hooded chainmail that lined mage's robe that was mostly black with green lining the entire robe. For him, he had a gold open book stitched into the fabric of his robe. The mage's staff was made out of the alloy and covered by wood from the forest at the top he added a large red gemstone made out of multiple precious stones combined into one at the top of the staff. Damien made the wood and alloy stretch around the stone to the top to make the stone look like it's in a cage.

Damien also made himself a staff with the same base but, he used a larger multi colored orb in the top of the staff with swirled alloy and wood going up to the middle of the orb leaving the orb exposed the rest of the way.

I also made myself similar chainmail lined black robe with my element colors lining the edges of my rob. I did not put a rank on my robe. All of my archers and fighter already have unlocked skills and using so much mana in one day is exhausting so I'm only going to focus on my mage since he is the least powered unit that I have. I need to figure out what he can do.
