Having the mini EEG working even at half capacity was an absolute lifesaver. Ivy wore it constantly when she was at home, taking it off only to sleep. Getting through the school day remained a misery by comparison but at least she managed to get some actual studying done.
Her parents and Ethan questioned her but she said it was something her doctor recommended to help with her headaches. Technically, that wasn't a lie.
They noticed she tended to be a lot less spacey with the electrodes on her head so after a while they stopped mentally judging her for how weird it looked. Her mother was particularly relieved that something seemed to be helping now that the migraine meds weren't working as well as they used to.
As the AP tests approached Carson seemed like he was going to snap any second so Ivy was sure to provide him with plenty of treats to give him the shot of sugar he needed to refocus. It was the least she could do for him.
