He was too angry, focusing only on Serefina, and for what he demanded of her. He didn't realize that Raine was standing outside the door with the two guards, listening to their conversation from behind the door outside.
"Why did I do that?" Serefina reiterated Torak's question, there was a hint of apathy in the way she talked. "Oh, of course it was done to save the both of you from some unnecessary interference!
