"Wow. You look hot". Maddie comments when I finished dressing up for the club.
"Thanks. You're not too bad yourself " She wore a tight black dress that reached her mid thigh that compliments her small body.
Her red hair in a high ponytail.
As for me, Maddie chose a tight skirt for me. It clung to me like a second skin, but I love it. It was pretty. I leave my hair in a wavy way.
"Jake and Lia are waiting for us outside" Maddie says when she put her phone into her red purse.
I look at my reflection one last time before going out. I slid in beside Jake who was in the driver seat.
"Hey Jake" I grinned at him and he grinned back, his eyes no longer sad. And I was relief, It was so awkward to be with him when he was acting like that.
"Hey. Emily. You look beautiful" he compliments me and I blush.
"What? None for me?" Maddie pouts from the backseat.
Jake laughs "You are always beautiful Maddie". He paused "You too Lia. Then again, you know you're beautiful". Jake teases.
Lia just rolled her eyes and snort "Oh yeah? You just complimented me to get on my good side".
"True that". Jake, Maddie and I laugh at Lia expense. At first, Lia was awkward around me but eventually she opens up more to me. I learned that she likes books just as me, and she's more of a gothic person. It was so comfortable with her.
The club was illuminated by neon lights, loud with people, some gyrating, some making out and the smell of sweat was heavy in the air.
"Come on, Emily let's get some drinks". Maddie grab my hand and pulled me to the bar.
"One shot of Tequila please". Maddie ordered, she turn her head to me "You?" She asks.
"I'll just get a water". Lia and I say at the same time and I raised an eyebrow at her.
"You're not drinking?". I thought she would be drinking since she's friends with Maddie. Well same goes to me too. Even though I used to go to clubs, I never drink. I was an uber for my friends.
"No. Who will drive us back?" She nodded at the bartender when he gave us the water. She took a sip "Besides, I hate drinking".
"Technically, you are drinking right now" Maddie points out grinning at Lia.
"Well" Lia took a sip again "This is water and we need it for survival. This is not alcohol. And we don't need alcohol to survive". She retorts.
I laugh at Lia's clever yet funny answer. "I second that". I took a sip of my water and look around.
"Where is Jake?" I ask Maddie.
"No idea" she shook her head at me and go back to drinking.
"I'm gonna dance" Maddie announce and without waiting for our reply, went to the dance floor.
Lia got up from her seat and sigh. I cock an eyebrow at her "Where are you going?" I ask.
"Maddie's need some assistance. She'll get in trouble if I'm not there to look after her". She says and went to the dance floor after Maddie.
I sigh, Well I'll just amuse myself with me. I mentally giggled at my depressing thought.
"Hey Emily". I turn my head to Jake who came towards me with a smile.
"Where did you go?" I ask.
He grinned and indicated at a brunette, whose skirt was tighter and shorter than mine. When she caught at Jake and me staring at her, She blew Jake a kiss and wink, sashaying her hips and disappeared.
I look at Jake with an incredulous expression "Really?" I ask amused.
He winks at me "Jealous?".
"As if" I scoff at him.
"Admit it Emily. I know you want a piece of this". He flexed his biceps and I just raised an eyebrow at him.
The music changed to a more sensual flow. And I hummed under my breath
"Let's go" Jake suddenly shouts startling me and I look at him in puzzlement but before I could ask him, he pulled me by my hands and started to pull me to the dance floor.
"Jake I can't dance". I shout at him because of the loud music.
He just grinned at me "Just feel the flow Emily" he whispered at me. He put his hands on my hip- he took my hand and wind it around his neck- as we sway to the music.
"Enjoying?" He asks after a moment of swaying.
"Kind of". I shrugged and grinned up at him.
He winks at me and we continue to sway. I roamed my eyes around the club, people were swaying just like us, some people kissing. I rolled my eyes. Typical.
As my eyes roamed around mindlessly, I see a pair of grey eyes staring straight at me. I was so surprised that I almost stumble back. Why is he there everywhere I go? A blonde hair was seated on his lap, but he paid no attention to her and just stare at me.
Uncomfortable under his gaze, I stare at Jake "Jake. Let's go. I'm not feeling very good". I lied. Since he was taller than me, I have to shout..
"You okay?Do you want to go back?" He asked bending down to say on my ear.
"No. I feel slightly dizzy. I need some water".
Jake nodded, his face worried. "Are you sure? I can drive you back".
"No need. I'll drink some water and I'll be fine". I smiled up at him.
"Okay let's go". I took one last glance at Cayden to see him clenching his fist tightly and glaring at us. Now what's his problem?
"Are you sure you don't want to go back Emily?" Jake asks when we reached the bar. He ordered a glass of water for me.
"I'm sure." I smiled up at him. "Go dance. I'll be fine".
"But--". He tried to protest.
"No buts. Just go and enjoy, I'll be fine. I will join you when I'm bored" I grinned at him.
"If you say so". He casts me a worried glance before going to the dance floor with some brunette. Probably the same girl from before.
"Did your boyfriend ditch you for another girl?" I heard an amused voice behind me and it was none other than Cayden.
"No." I answered in a clip tone.
He flop down beside me "A tequila".
He eyed my water "No drinks for a Good Girl?" He asks.
"None of your business". I answered.
"Scared that you'll spill every secret?" He taunts.
"No." I turn my body around, making my skirt hike up , Cayden's eyes darted to my thighs and he made no move to remove it. Perverted jerk!
"What makes you think I have secrets?" I ask.
He looks up and meet my eyes and I smirk at him "I don't think so,".. He bends down, his hand on my exposed thigh, his hand was warm and my skin feels hot from that touch. I resisted the urge to shiver.
"I know so" he whispered in my ears and pulled back, I shut my mouth to not let any sound escape and embarrassed myself.
I licked my suddenly dry lips and his eyes darted down to my lips and I subconsciously look down to his lip too. They look so kissable. What if... I didn't get to finish my thoughts before a warm lip descended upon mine. It took a moment to realize Cayden was kissing me.
I subconsciously part my lips and his tongue dived in, making me lose all rational thoughts. He tastes like mint and vodka. And it was the best flavor I tasted so far.
His hand caress my thigh and I moan into his mouth. Cayden lazily trace down to my collarbone to my neck and sucks it. I was so lost, so lost into him that I forget where we are.
"What the fuck?" I quickly snapped out and pushed Cayden away. I turn my head to see Maddie and Lia looking at us with open mouth. My face flushed with embarrassment. I can't believe I let him kiss me. I don't even want to know how my face look like right now.
Lia's eyes dart down to where Cayden's hand was still in my thigh. I try to pry off his hand from my thigh but he grab it more firmly. I shoot him a glare but he simply smirked at me. 'Let go' I warn him with my eyes trying to let him know I was angry but he doesn't relent. Oh how I want to kill him right now.
"Take your hand" I said through gritted teeth. Maddie was still gaping like a fish and Lia was just looking at us with narrowed eyes. Great!
Cayden looked at me for a moment before sighing but eventually took his hand. And I was more than grateful.
"It's not what you think" I start but I was cut off by Cayden.
"Oh It's surely what you think" I shoot Cayden a glare and he shrugged innocently at me. "I'm just telling them the truth"
"There is no truth to tell. Just shut your mouth". I snapped.
Cayden just smiled at me, not a smirk but a smile, And I almost forgot what I try to say.
"See you tomorrow". He pecked my cheek, he gave me one last smirk before disappearing . What is wrong with him? I touched my cheek and just stare at the direction he had disappeared to.
"You have a lot of explaining to do". Lia's amused voice snapped me out from my thoughts. And I turn my head to see Maddie and Lia, in a mother stance looking at me with amusement. I gulp. This is gonna be a long night . It's your fault Cayden.!! Curse you!!
