It's been 3 hours and 12 minutes since I've been in this damn office. I barely typed anything on the computer and my head hurts like hell. As I laid my head down on the desk I felt my eyelids getting heavy. I was about to fall asleep until I heard a knock on the door. The door swiftly opened and my co-worker Amber came in. I looked at her cheerful face as she approached me. "What are you smiling about?" I asked. She came over to my area and placed her bottom on my desk. "Oh, nothing. Just here to tell you that Mr. Marshall wants to see you." My eyes suddenly widened while my mind was filled with confusion. "Ok". I quickly got up from my seat and headed towards the door. "By the way, I heard he's single now so you better shoot your shot." I turned my head back to Amber. "For the last time, I don't mix business with pleasure. Besides he's just a player and I highly doubt he would think of me like that." She rolled her eyes. "Whatever you say." Then left. As I made my way to his office I began to feel nervous. I honestly had secret feelings towards my boss even though it was wrong. But ever since I started hearing that he don't do relationships, I began to develop a distance and keep it professional. When I got in front of the door I softly knocked with great hesitation. "Come in." I came inside and closed the door. "Have a seat please." I nodded and took a seat in front of his desk. We both stood there in silence while we were still making eye contact. I closely looked at him from afar. His dark black hair was swiftly pushed to the right side of his ear. His eyebrows were perfectly arched and his light brown eyes glisten every time they move. Even though I see him everyday I still feel giddy when I'm around him. My eyes stopped at one particular place that ignored all other features from his body. And that was his lips. I started to feel warm then he finally broke the silence. "Are you free this weekend?" "No." Feeling a little embarrassed I held my head down. "Do you mind if you can come over to my place tomorrow night?" My head automatically shot up. "I need help with this presentation so I can present for this meeting." Though I felt like my heart was about to jump out my chest I continue to remain calm. "Sure, no problem." He gave a quick smirk and said, "Ok, I'll send you the address later." I nodded my head and left the office. As I was about to close the door behind me I jumped out of shock. "Jesus Christ, don't be doing that shit. You almost gave me a heart attack." It was Amber popping from around the corner. She laughed and gave me a playful nudge on my side. "So, what he say?" "Nothing, just wanted me to come over to his place so we can do work." Her eyes shimmered with excitement. "And that's nothing?!, girl that's totally something!" I rolled my eyes and headed back to my office. "For as long as I've been here, I never heard no mess like that before. This is quite the news." I chuckle at her dramatic statement. "Well, believe it or not but it's just work. There's nothing to get worked up over." The day was almost over. I shut down my computer and packed up my things. "Yeah ok, whatever you say. Just make sure you put a condom in your purse. That way if y'all end up doing it you'll be prepared if he runs out." I let out a long sigh. "I swear you're something else." We said our goodbyes and left the building. Considering on what Amber told me I tried not to think of it that way. I repeatedly shook my head. Only work, nothing more.
