This is not the Jason I know. The man in front of me didn't look like my Jason at all.
I can see tears stream down his face. My heart hurts. I hate seeing him like this.
Jason smiled less in public since he took over their advertising company, he became serious and he spent most of his time working to get everyone's approval.
It was a bit difficult to gain everyone's trust since the people were expecting that his older brother, Shawn, will be the one taking over the advertising company. However, Shawn decided to fly to US to finish his Master's Degree and once he got back, he went straight to work under their Dad's supervision in preparation for taking over the whole business.
But this Jason in front of me is doesn't look like the CEO who gained everyone's trust. He looked vulnerable and weak... all because of a girl.
Sad part is, the girl is not even me.
'Come on Jayjay, stop drinking, let's sit down and tell me the whole story.' I dragged him to the bench and encouraged him to talk.
----
'So that's what happened. ' Jason sighed.
'So she got mad because you weren't able to attend the opening ceremony of her Art Exhibit because your flight back to Seoul got delayed?' I asked while raising one of my eyebrows.
'Yes and this isn't the first time so I understand why she's mad. She was waiting for me but I didn't make it.' Jason said.
[Well, I was waiting for you to notice my feelings for the past 10 years but for some reason, you still don't have a clue and I never got mad at you, though] I thought to myself.
'Don't push her to forgive you right away. Give her space. She'll eventually understand. The delayed flight is out of your control.' I tapped his back.
'Get some sleep. Come on, I'll drive you home. Did you use your car to go here? I'll leave my bike here and get it later. Give me your keys.'
Jason handed over the keys to his Ferrari 488 GTB.
'You're still riding that Ducati? You're already 25 years old, Kree. You should be using a car to go to work. Motorcycles are dangerous, what if you get into an accident?' Jason looked worried.
My heart skipped again. Damn it.
'You can't die young! Do you know how expensive it is to hold a funeral nowadays?' Jason smiled. There you go, that's the Jason I know.
'F*** you!'
'You wish!'
[I know, right?] I thought to myself.
Once the car doors are closed, I drove him back home.
----
Later that night...
my phone beeped, indicating that there's a new notification.
It was a text from Jason.
[Jayjay💕: Everything's okay now. She forgave me. 💕💕💕💕 thank you for staying with me at the rooftop earlier. I love you, Kree! You're the best!]
I replied:
[You're welcome Jayjay. I love you more than you'll ever know.]
**sent**
Oh sh*t! That didn't sound right.
[Jk. Goodnight.]
There. That's better.
I put my phone on the night stand, sat on my bed, brought the notebook from the drawer out and start to write ideas for new music.
