Slowly Yu Jin releases his hold to Xiao Ping's hand. The girl screams scarily yet excited while sliding across the ice surface. "Move your legs. Right .. Left.. Right.. Left.. That's it! You got it!!" Yu Jin instructs her, following her from behind. Once manages to skate on her own, Xiao Ping shouts and laughs happily even though couple of seconds later she trips and falls on the cold surface. Yu Jin immediately approaches her. "Are you okay ?" he asks. Xiao Ping nods and gives him a wide smile. She raises her hand to ask Yu Jin a help to lift her up. Yu Jin grabs that hand and pulls her. She stands in jolt, almost hits Yu Jin with her body if Yu Jin didn't quick enough to hold her. "Again!" she asks. Yu Jin once guides her to start walking on ice before again releases her hand. This time Xiao Ping manages to walk much more longer than previous. Still follows her from behind, Yu Jin smiles to see how happy Xiao Ping is. It's significantly different from the beginning of the day when he came to pick her.
Once he knew the break up of Xiao Ping and Takeshi from a TV show, he was purposely coming to Taipei. At first he wanted to ask her directly about it, maybe even complaining to have to hear it from news instead of her own lips. But when he saw how lifeless Xiao Ping was, he changed his mind. Instead, he asked Xiao Ping to accompany him the whole day. And he is planning to take her to fun places like this ice skating venue.
Xiao Ping falls again with a loud laugh. Yu Jin comes to her and pulls her up again. "Let's rest a little," Yu Jin suggests. Xiao Ping nods to agree. They then walk out of the ice skating field and approach one of the empty table. When they still putting off their helmets, a waiter already stands near them, ready to take an order. They both have instant noodles, black coffee for Yu Jin and orange juice for Xiao Ping.
"You like it ?" Yu Jin asks after the waiter gone. Xiao Ping nods. "It's fuuun!!" she says with sparkling eyes. Yu Jin chuckles. "How can you know about this place ?" Xiao Ping asks. "I read its launching news on paper a week ago," Yu Jin answers. Xiao Ping makes small nods. No wonder she didn't know. These couple of weeks she barely cared about herself, even less about other matters.
The waiter comes with their orders. "Eat," Yu Jin tells her. When she still didn't open her cup's lid, Yu Jin took her cup and opened it for her. Xiao Ping nods. The delicious fragrant of the noodle immediately attacks her, making her hungry all the sudden. She then picks some noodles with her chopstick and starts to eat.
"So.. it's been almost two months, huh ?" Yu jin finally asks her. She's been expecting it since he came to her house this morning. Xiao Ping moves her sight to Yu Jin's eyes for a second before goes back to her noodles. "It's actually less than two weeks," she tells him the truth. As expected, Yu Jin frowns deeply. "So you lied ?" Xiao Ping nods. "Why ?" Xiao Ping shrugs. "Because the public can not find out the truth," she says, trying to be indifferent but fails miserably because her eyes are wet only by it. Yu Jin notices her wet eyes. He doesn't continue his interrogation further.

Yu Jin laughs with other audiences. After spent more than three hours on the ice skating venue, he takes Xiao Ping to watch a comedy movie. It's gives his heart happy beats every time he hears Xiao Ping's giggles and chuckles through out the movie. But then, when all the laughters are subsided and the theater is silence, Yu Jin hears a fainted sob. Yu Jin turns his head to the right where Xiao Ping sits. It is too dark to see anything clearly, so he is not sure about it. Beside, the scene was a happy scene, the male character purposed his girlfriend to marry and the girl obviously said yes to make the man running around happily before hit the hydrant near him. Before he turns his head back to the screen, a bright light from the screen hits the audience's face, including Xiao Ping's. Only then he finds out tears track on her face before she turns her head to hide it from him. Yu Jin turns his head upward and sighs. The audiences laugh again, except for him and Xiao Ping.

"Thank you for today," Xiao Ping says while getting off her helmet. Her hair becomes disheveled. Yu Jin stretches his hand to tidy it up. Xiao Ping turns her head away to avoid his act. "Don't.." She murmurs. Yu Jin frowns his forehead. "What's wrong ?" he asks. Xiao Ping shakes her head then raises it. "You are the best friend that I have," she says with forced smile. "I will always be," Yu Jin says. Xiao Ping raises her eyebrows. "You will ?" Yu Jin nods firmly al though his eyebrows furrow, wondering about her surprised question. "Why shouldn't I be ?" he asks her back.
"I.. I knew you love me," Xiao Ping speaks her mind then turns her head aside, "But.. I don't know If I can ever love you back." She hears Yu Jin sighing before she can feel his hands forcing her head to move straight upward again. "Haven't I be your best friend even when you were in a relationship with Takeshi ?" he asks. Xiao Ping nods. "Do you think I will take a chance on your situation and sneakingly trap you to love me ?" Xiao Ping lower her sight. "Even if I did so, do you think that you can love me that easily ?" Xiao Ping shakes her head. "I'm sorry, I can't love.."
"And that is why precisely I won't do what you thought I would do to you," Yu Jin says. Xiao Ping shifts her sight to his eyes. There is slightly a hurt glare in his eyes al though they still stare at her calmly. "Loving you doesn't have to be to have your love. I won't force you to love me. Forced love is a dying one. Right at the moment, you need me as your best friend the most. I love you enough to not betray your trust," Yu Jin tells her with a hurtful voice, before he lets go his hands from Xiao Ping's cheek. "I will always ready to be your best friend when you ask me to," he says before putting his helmet back. "I'm leaving now. Good night." He starts his engine. He is stunned when a second later, Xiao Ping crashed her body into him and hug him tightly. Before he even realizes, her tears already dampen his jacket. "I'm sorry. Please, be my best friend," Xiao Ping pleads between her cry. A second later, Yu Jin strokes her hair gently.
