I thanked the guy at the cash register and awkwardly trudged out of the store, my eyes glued downwards from embarrassment.

"Well, see you later..." I took a single step on to crosswalk, my mind racing to get me away from someone so bright. It was killing all the hype I had for the book I bought. Well graphic novel.
"Wait Keno!" Ara said aloud, making both of us look at each other, our eyes locking. "I know this sounds pushy, but what high school are you going to?"

Well it's not like telling her is a declaration of love or weird, just a question. Yep, just a normal question which the most popular girl I know asked a simple peasant like me....
My face turned red, "I haven't exactly decided." There was mistake number one, or rather strike one.
Ara tapped her chin, "The exams were today, so you would of have to decided."
I swallowed hard, yep she was correct, I just blurted it out. Now it looked like I was just trying to leave.
She seem to pout, "Why lie?"
I shrugged and took another step away, but this time my bag slipped away because of all the sweat that accumulated on my palm, "Oh crap!" I tried to catch it but the book bounced out onto the pavement.
Ara stopped and looked at the cover.
Welp, I might as well die here and now, also strike two. Ara wearily smiled and her face turned red.
"I-uh- well it's normal for a boy like you too, um... indulge..." Ara started to seem dizzy, like this was her first time encountering it.
"I have brought shame to my family!" A tear rolled down my cheek and I quickly grabbed the book and dashed toward the street.

I realized what her cry meant as I turned to my left, the headlights of a truck coming full speed meeting my gaze.

"Ahh!" I jumped from the booming voice, my arms at the ready.
My everything froze, the image before me breath taking.
A lady floated over the whiteness, gold robes strung around her seductive and slender body, black hair covering her shoulders and the most perfect yellow eyes staring forward. A mystic aura fell around her, a sense of domination keeping me still.
"Keno, that is your name correct?"
She said with a softer tone.
I nodded, my eyes still unsure if what I was seeing was actually real.
"Well then, it is a pleasure to meet you, I am the goddess of desire, Pam."
She smiled,her beam striking me like a sword.

I pointed at Pam, "Tell me the parameters surrounding this wish stuff."
Pam touched her cheek, "Well I can grant you anything. If you want to return to your world you will retain memory of doing so but if you ask for anything other than that you won't remember what you wished for. I can't give you the power to take away free will or make you a god. Or-"
I held up a hand, "What do you mean I'll forget?"
"If you ask to return you will keep all memory of this encounter. However if you were to add something like, "I want to be rich" you won't remember that part specially. Just that you wanted to return."
Oh, I see. I don't understand why but now I get it. Pam nodded in understanding with me.
I annoying ignored her and spoke, "So I can go back to Earth and add a few things?"
Pam said yes and leaned in, "Since I like you, as long as you don't use the word "and" or "also" it can still be considered one wish."
I smirked. Things just got a hell of a lot more interesting.
I cracked my knuckles and winked at Pam, the goddess winking back.
"I want to return to Earth. But...."
