Saaya held in her breathe as she looked at low virtual deck. She couldn't believe that she went through most of her deck that she so carefully crafted. 12 Chronicles wasn't a card game that focused on just attack powers, it focused on spell cards, trap cards, the amount of mana orbs you had, the class you chose. Saaya was basically one of the pros at 12C, her name was everywhere in the media. She even starred in commercials to promote dumb products. The brown haired beauty bit her thumb as millions of her fans looked shocked. "Who the hell even are you!?" Saaya asked at the cloaked figure.
[ONE HOUR EARLIER]
"And it looks like another victory for the beautiful Saaya Yamada!" The announcer yelled to the crowd. "With just three turns she managed to completely wipe out her opponent!" The crowd cheered, yelling Saaya's name. Most fans held posters but others showed off their Saaya merchandise. Saaya giggles as she gave a warm smile to the audience. Her messily chopped short bangs and her hair pulled up into a messy bun was her signature look. Her green eyes glowed from all the lights of the stage. She wore her school uniform, a yellow no-sleeve waistcoat with a white shirt that had a black collar along with a matching black skirt. She also wore a pink ribbon around her collared shirt that match her rose clip that she kept in the middle of her bun.
"I love you all!" Saaya yelled to the crowd with a smile. Saaya on the outside was a beautiful young angelic rich girl that could do no wrong. She was kind, caring, and always showed respect to her opponents. Apparently she was also one of the few people who played 12 Chronicles before it became popular, so she was a Veteran at the game. But Saaya Yamada on the inside was a rude, bratty, spoiled girl who just wanted peace and quiet. She hated going outside to see her sweaty fat grown man fans. They all were perverted anyways. If she could she would've stopped playing 12 Chronicles by now, but her father ran a game company and was friends with the mysterious YÅMÆNŌ. Saaya was able to promote his own games that also worked for the «ALTER VISION VISOR» or AVV for short. The company was called TERŪTERŪ GAMEZ.
"Now! Is there anyone who wants to challenge the beautiful Saaya Yamada!?" The announcer asked the audience. Saaya wanted to yawn knowing that no one would be dumb enough to challenge against her. Normally no one did that, but it became a required thing to give players a chance at battling the best of players - or winning players after a duel that lasted only 2 minutes. A holographic timer for 10 seconds appeared. Saaya made sure to not make her smile falter. 'Just 10 seconds Saaya and you're outta here.'
"Come on don't be shy~!" Saaya giggled knowing that nobody was going to raise there hand.
"AAAAND 3....2....1- OH WHAT'S THIS!?" The announcer yelled as a cloaked figure had their hand raised. "We have a challenger wanting to battle the beauty Saaya Yamada!" Saaya's green eyes widen with anger.
"Eh...." As the opponent walked up the small staircase to the stage, Saaya couldn't help but show a look of great annoyance, disgust, and disappointment. She wanted to wish death upon the person right there.
"Now! Get your decks ready you two!" The announcer yelled into his microphone. "Saaya what deck will you be using?! Well... most of us don't need to ask since it is your signature deck." Saaya giggled then winked.
"Ahaha~! You're right, I'm so predictable! I'm gonna be using my custom made deck which is the Runeclass!" Saaya let out a fake giggled. "I'm sure everyone knows why Runeclass is my favorite! Riiiight~!?" Saaya winked at the audience. The crowd yelled crazily, causing multiple people to raise their hands to answer the question. A light went on one fat sweaty looking guy.
"Er.... our Saaya loves the Runeclass because it's basically a deck that's filled with more spells than others. She can easily overwhelm her opponent by using spells - and she's the only Veterans that mostly uses spell cards to defeat an opponent. Oh, she's also the one that popularized it.. heehee." The fat guy pushed up his glasses proudly. Saaya held every urge to scowl with disgust.
"So what Deck Class will my opponent be using~?" Saaya asked sweetly wanting the attention to go off her. "Awh... I haven't even gotten your name."
The cloaked figure just stood not saying a word. Their face was covered but Saaya could feel their eyes just staring into hers. The announcer coughed awkwardly.
"LETS GET STAAAAAAAARTED!"
[BACK TO THE FUTURE]
"Who the hell even are you..." Saaya mumbled to herself as she looked at the holographic timer. She only had 20 more seconds to decide what her next move would be. Saaya's field was almost empty - all she had protecting her Lifepoints was one small golem that would be taken out next turn. She only had 10 Lifepoints remaining. Saaya bit her nail holding back her tears. Sweat dripped down her forehead as she tried to come up with a plan. There was no way to escape defeat. Saaya raised her hand - her green eyes lost all hope. Her face was as white as a ghost. It looked like she hadn't eaten in days. "I.... I..." 5 seconds were remaining. "I give...."
"You're really giving up?" The cloaked figure yelled angrily. Their voice was a low masculine voice. "You still have a deck and a card on the field! Why are you giving up!?" He pulled off his cloak. A young man that looked about 19 or 20 was revealed. He had a slim build, fairly sharp features and black hair which spikes in all directions.
"I...." Saaya was at a lost for words. She's never met an opponent who didn't encourage her to give up. Saaya looked towards her loving fans that she hated so much. "I'm not done yet!" The beautiful brown haired girl stood proudly. She looked at the amount of glowing mana orbs she had left. "10..." Saaya took a deep breathe as she looked at her low deck stack. All the cards in her hands were 12 and up. "Please..."
"TIMES UP! IT'S THE OPPONENTS TURN!" The announcer yelled snapping Saaya back to reality. The brunette's knees buckled in. The ear piece of the AVV was moved a bit away from the ear as well as the mouthpiece being too far back. Saaya's perfect neat bun hair was disheveled and her messily cut bangs were unusually messier than normal. She, one of the Veterans of 12C, basically lost to a nobody.
"Why are you on the floor, Saaya?" The opponent asked angrily. "I haven't even used a card yet you lie defeated..." Saaya couldn't understand why he was so pissed off. He scoffed as he used one of his cards - which was a female knight that had the summon power of 9 and attack power of 11 to finish Saaya off. The game was over.
"Why..." Saaya couldn't understand the look of annoyance on the opponents face. "Why are you so angry that you lost...." She wept. The audience began to boo, not at Saaya - at the mysterious teen!
"You made Saaya cry!" One shouted
"They must have cheated!" Another added. "Nobody can best Saaya Yamada!"
"Recall! This is not a lost for our beautiful Saaya!"
Saaya hid her expression behind her messy bangs as she stood up. She was disgusted by her worthless, and brainless fans. She had lost yet her opponent was getting booed in her place. Saaya was somewhat thankful though. She was getting worshiped even with her lost.
"Disgusting."
