Chapter 3 - The Girl in the Pool

They all have occupied the seats inside the bus and were enjoying the view. It's about 102 kilometers to Sunderbans Tiger Camp Wildlife Resort. The bus had to cross lots of rivers, forests and small islands to reach into the destination. The bus journey is really too tiresome. Everyone except Vihaan enjoyed the journey taking siesta. Vihaan was enjoying the view. He captured lots of videos and photos as memories of the trip.

It was about 12 noon, when they all got down from the bus and entered the resorts. The resort was splendid. Its interior was finely decorated with natural objects like bamboos, feathers, and others. They hut they booked had 2 king-size beds, extremely cosy sofas, alluring lights and antique objects and paintings. It was so amazing for them, they were going to stay there for a week and gonna enjoy it a lot.

Suddenly Naman realized, they haven't had anything from morning and he was about to faint from hunger. Naman screamed," Guys lets go and have something. I'm ravenously hungry." With this, they all went to the dinning area of the resorts. There is a popular saying that goes, 'eat your breakfast like a king and dinner like a pauper'. Seems like, Bengalis understood the former part of the saying very well, even before the saying came into existence. Renowned for its desserts and non-vegetarian delicacies, Bengali cuisine is a succulent treasure trove- a significant part of which is often overshadowed by the legendary reputation of its sweetmeats and fish preparations. Bengali breakfast for instance, is one regal affair that calls for chronicle of its own. The menu for breakfast was prodigious. Which included mouthwatering cuisines. Some of them are Radha bhallabhi- Radha Ballabhi is a lentil stuffed poori or Indian flat bread which is deep-fried in mustard oil. Luchi and cholar dal- This rich dal preparation is a part of every festive Bengali spread. Slightly sweet in taste, Cholar dal is made with an aromatic tadka of whole spices, bay leaf, cinnamon and cardamom. Luchi is a deep-fried flat-bread or poori which is made using refined flour and clarified butter. They all enjoyed the bengali breakfast.

It was the month of march and the weather in sunderban was too humid. Everyone in the gang need to have some chill out at the swimming pool. It was decided that, they would go into the pool at sharp 2'O clock. Untill that, they can get some rest after having some heavy breakfast.

It was already a quarter past 2, everyone was at the pool except Vihaan. He was just entering into the pool area and suddenly his eyes shifted to a girl in a white printed blouson with cherry blossom florals and white hot shorts. She was laying in the brown wooden deck with eyes closed to resist from the light coming out of the viroumbrella. He was so deep in observing her that he didn't realise he was just at the end of the pool and suddenly he felt into the pool. Naman shouted from the corner, "Abey oo tharki, ladkioun ko ghoorna baandh kar" (Hey lecherous man, stop stareing girls.) Everyone laughed to this. Vihaan noticed it was Kaushiki. He was amazed to see Kaushiki in a completely different appearance. For a moment, he thought he was in dreams. He rushed to Raghav and said, "Bro, just pull my chicks, I think I'm dreaming." Raghav didn't spare a minute and pulled Vihaan's chick hard. Vihaan shouted loud in pain, "Aaah, man I got it. I got it I ain't dreaming." Once again all laughed. Vihaan thought not to say anything to his friends regarding Kaushiki's presence in the pool or they would ruin everything out. When everyone was tired and wanted to move to the rooms. Vihaan replied that he was late to the pool and wanted to spend some more time swimming. Everyone left for the room except Vihaan. Vihaan had an awesome body cut. He had maintained his body by gymming since he was on 9th standard. He went shirtless to Kaushiki, sat down on the deck beside Kaushiki's deck. He build in lots of courage within himself and said, "Hey, Kaushiki, right?" Kaushiki replied with closed eyes,"Yeah, I'm Kaushiki."

"I'm Vihaan, the boy beside your seat inside the plane. Do you remember?"

"So, you too are here."

"Yupp."

"So, Vihaan, right? If you don't mind, I would like to have some time silently as you can see there's sunscreen over my face and I don't wanna ruin it by opening my eyes."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I can understand. So I hope, we can meet some other time."

"Yes, why not?"
