Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Obstacle

During the time it took Cui Xui to recover, Lei Cui was busy gathering information from the adults around her as she found out she could understand the language with no difficulties at all. For now, all she had gathered was that her parents were Wang Lei and Cui Xui, one handsome, dangerous yet elegant and the other so sweet, elegant and the prettiest lady amongst the nobles of the country.

From what she heard from the gossiping staff members, her father Wang Lei was the Lord of Voltario. A country filled with magicians and nobles. It had 4 states, which were divided based on the common populace into Novaraine - filled with Nobles, Magister - filled with S class, SS class and SSS class scholars and heroes, Voltrix - being the capital of Voltario comprised an Academy- Thunder Heart open for the nobles faction and the commoners who had potential, Salar - being the biggest state which occupied by the commoners.

Her mother Cui Xui turned out to be the sweetest person who anyone could find attracted to as soon as they would start conversing with her. I guess it was just her in-built charm and elegance that made a person feel comfortable in her company.

Lei Cui had a hunger for knowledge, but this hunger could only be satiated when her memory power increased, brain cells stabilized and could move around.

From the moment Yu-Long became Lei Cui, he decided that he would live a full life unlike before going on treacherous grounds with only his teacher protecting his back or sometimes not even that protection would be there as there had been many who had tried to override his teacher just to get to know his secrets and cultivation technique and how his body functioned as it was deemed impossible even for the geniuses of geniuses to attain such high cultivation in Saint Realm at 10, while most kids would start their cultivation path at 8 or in the worst cases 12.

To attain her goal for knowledge, Lei Cui started body cultivation as soon as she reached her home or should I say Royal Palace. Oh damn, was the journey to her room hectic even though she was being cradled in her mother's arms and practically did no movement. Just the attention she was grabbing from the people around made her head spin. She never expected that from the moment she was born she would already get so much unwanted attention.

Instead of worrying about the ruckus or attention that was being put on her, she started her cultivation path. Beginning with body cultivation seemed like the perfect thing to do as her body had finished getting the last frame structure. Looking through her memories, she had collected over 400 body cultivation techniques grading from Mortal to Heaven-Grade books.

Thinking of her current situation as a newborn, she thought it was best to make her body structure into a heaven-grade body which could practically negate all the damage received by the body and return the damage 100 times as much to the opponent.

In his previous life, Yu-Long ended up getting the Heaven-Grade body cultivation technique way after he had already started practising a Supreme-Grade technique as shifting body cultivation techniques could be fatal to the body and instead destroy the frame structure of the body. Now, as he was starting over completely, he got the best he had saved up from his previous collections of manuals.

After reaching her cradle, Lei Cui felt that it would be best to cultivate Dragon Scales Heaven Grade Body cultivation technique (**Sorry for the long names**). She then collected and scanned the technique that was ingrained in her soul. As she had searched her soul twice already in very short spans, she felt exhausted and the built-up fatigue finally had caught her up.

The next day Lei Cui woke up only after having slept for nearly half the day. Her first urge was to fill her stomach as she was famished due to the excessive soul searching done previously as each time she did it, it caused her to use a lot of soul energy just to start it as her soul sea seemed to be large.

As she could not speak yet, she could only cry out to get her mother Cui Xui's attention, even though she had never cried out in her previous form as Yu-Long, she still found that the shrill voice of a baby crying to be annoying so much so it made her tiny ears turn red.

Within a few seconds, her mother came in rushing, picked her up gently as if something would happen to her baby if she were a second later, and started rubbing her back to calm Lei Cui down.

As Yu-Long had never experienced the warmth of a mother, this situation had made him inevitably emotional to the point he let out a whimper. After a while, he was breast fed milk as they said this to be the most efficient form to give the proper nutrients to a newborn baby. This made Lei Cui a bit embarrassed, but she had to embrace it as she practically couldn't do anything about it.

Now that she had enough sleep and was no longer hungry, Lei Cui started cultivating with full concentration, though on the outside it looked as if she was going back to sleep as drinking milk usually would induce sleep in anyone after a while.

Well, this body cultivation technique wasn't much in theory but when put into practice one had to be diligent to excel in this technique as it had the peak difficulty level and one misstep and a bit of arrogance would end up destroying the whole body into smithereens, to master this technique and attain the ultimate body frame it would take most people at least 25 years, which was exactly the reason Lei Cui even picked out this technique.

She lied down with her back on her little bed and went started to trying detecting Qi in the atmosphere as that was the most basic requirement for any kind of martial technique or skill to gain.

She tried this for at least for about 2-3 hours at a stretch and could feel something enter her body but it did not appear to be spiritual Qi that normal cultivators could sense, but it felt more powerful than that of what Yu-Long had experienced in his previous world Velde.

As soon as she felt this abnormally powerful force, try to enter her body even more she cut off the link in case something unexpected were to happen.

Lei Cui found herself to be in a conundrum now cause of this mysterious force in the atmosphere.

'An obstacle right at the start. What a pain, I guess I will have to do some research about this world-first or I'll end up being like a sitting duck.' Feeling an awful premonition up ahead, Lei Cui slept again because of fatigue.
