Note: I felt that the chapter was too long. So I divided it into two. Those who have read the previous one fully including this part don't read this. You can skip it.

The man seems to be just staring at him with a smile on his face which really looked creepy. So Kiel started speaking to distract himself.
"S-so why am I here? For the things that you helped me with, I really thank you but I don't think I deserve that? And it must have been expensive seeing where I am.
I don't even have the minimum compatibility for mana let one become a magician. So why help me? I can't even become a magician.."
"Well… well, aren't you quite the feisty one. But it seems good that you know how reality goes. But you are quite wrong in one place. We don't want you to become a magician. "
'Right you must want me to become an assassin. What more do I expect?' But he could not say it.
"What do you mean?" Kiel didn't think much about mana because of his chakra. But who doesn't want to be able to shoot fireballs and bend them according to their will?
Moreover, Kiel wanted to know this world was different from his old one. So experiencing things first hand would always prove to be a better help. So he did have some expectations as the facility even took the pain to heal him fully. And obviously, they were no fools. They had obviously looked something in him to want to invest in him.
"What I mean is you are not totally right. What you have is not mana incompatibility but mana rejection syndrome."
"Come again?" Kiel wondered weren't they the same thing. Like everyone knew mana is the gem whereas elements are the ores and you are the tool.
"I know where you are coming from. You were taught by those idiots who think the world is only made of elements. But let me tell you something. While you were in a coma, we ran some tests on you. And don't freak out hearing tests. We just took some blood samples and other minor tests. And we found out that you possess a Reverse Spirit Psyche!"
"Reverse Spirit Psyche? What's that?"
"Hmm? You don't know? Well, it's alright for you to not know. So let's see… ya, reverse Spirit Psyche is a type of extremely rare variant body ailment where the body doesn't accept any type of foreign mana including the very basic building block of this world, the element type which further disables the body for mana practising. In simple terms, you remain a mortal until you die.
It is much easier to say that your body does not accept natural mana. Rather it also reverses the flow of mana injected in it out of the body. And it literally created a lot of problems to treat you. "
"So you mean that my sisters have the same deficiency? I see that explains it."
"Huh? No, wait… how did you even arrive at that conclusion."
"Aren't they the same? They also don't have elemental compatibility."
"No, not all. This may be a headache… Let's see, Kiel Dmitriev.
Father: Derek Dmitriev… " The guy beside him took out a file which seemed to contain the details of his family members. He had already seen plenty of such investigations and reports in his previous life. So he was not shocked and just waited patiently.
And most of the time it was done just to intimidate an individual. And it was quite evident from the glances of the man behind him.
There were still ten minutes remaining for the system update to complete. And he still had nothing to do. So patiently waiting was a good thing.
"Your sibling's case is called Mana Blockage it seems, a rather common inability among the norms. In simple terms, they are among the minority that does not possess affinity towards any known element.
They are like miners who do not have the necessary tools to mine the ores called elements to get the gem called mana; unlike other miners. But you, on the other hand, are not a miner at all but the only job available now is to be a miner. This makes you someone who is never able to practice, unlike your sisters who can do so by borrowing the tools from others. You can understand right?"
Kiel felt that the reasoning was quite vague as to why he can't learn how to mine, but he still nodded his head to let the conversation flow. But what he understood was that his sisters may be able to use magic whereas he won't be able to. That was some good news for them.
"So what am I here for? These explanations didn't help much." obviously all of this was sweet-sounding to merely trap him in right?
"Well don't be rude here. But there is one thing that we were most concerned about. Your case is a little different from what we know. Your Psyche is reversing the flow of mana into your body stronger and stronger with each passing day albeit very slowly.
What I mean is that if we consider the range of magicians on the number scale and 0 is the mark of able to use magic, and 20 means a very able magician, you were first at -12 initially. But it has increased to almost. -16 now.
Furthermore, you should not be able to use external magic but we saw you using Advanced earth magic itself where your body should be blocking the mana from entering into your body.
For a moment we were in shock. How is that even possible? Even more, after we checked your psyche. It was really out of our knowledge.
Well, you have to do with this much information as we ourselves don't understand this psyche much, it being an extremely rare case."
'You mean like cancer? A tumour which is growing. Except it is my whole body? Now that sounds creepy' Kiel could feel his skin having little goosebumps.
"So basically I am a lab rat for you to study?"
"Huh? No, not at all. We just want to see whether we can help if there are my applications. So do you know anything about it?"
"I don't know? I felt kinda going berserk and my memory is kinda fuzzy about it." Kiel said the truth almost because he previously noticed the man before he could read his psychology.
"Oh, I see. Maybe Blood magic. That magic is kinda hard to notice and only appears when someone awakens their blood ability. That would explain most stuff. "
{A/N: what was the blood magic term of the cultivation world called? Could someone say it? I forgot the world. And finding it is turning out quite a hassle. Anyway would be glad if anyone helped.}
"Hmm… then what about the magic tool that you used previously. Although we don't know what it was, from its mana radiations it was definitely not even at the level of a level 1 magic tool. And from our investigation, there seems to be a similar case with your father right. So we are safe to assume that you are somewhat related to that right?"
The man seemed sure. Well, it was not that hard to point out where he came from. If they were both Derek's inventions, he would have already become famous. But they were only recent additions.
" Don't you think you are asking too many questions?"
For a moment, he felt like walking into the hands of a predator now. Kiel even saw some other traps here and there in the sentences. External magic? What was that he never heard about it?
And the earth magic they were talking about should be gravity. Must be that emissary man who saw him. However, Kiel's heart skipped a beat towards the latter part of the conversation.
"Huh? Oh… sorry, take your time to tell us about it. But… oh well look at me I nearly forgot the main thing to say. So Kiel how do you feel about joining our True Blood?"
'Here it is. I knew something was off.'
"I don't know. Isn't it just an assassination organisation?"
"Pfft…. What? Oh, you mean the experience you had in that forest. Well hahaha… sorry, but did they look professional enough to be called assassins? They were just lower members of the Combat organisation Blood Orchid associated with us fulfilling their missions. We have numerous such organisations."
"Umm… D-do I have a choice." Joining the organisation was common in his previous life. But he would be sure what he was joining. Wasn't it named something else?
"Of course you do. But in that case, you have to return the amount that we spent on you. Healing your burnt skin fully, providing special wind magic for breathing, special tests and so on. Let's see, even if you only take the minimum, it would at least take 600 gold coins. So if you can supply us that amount that is your choice. And let us not forget the support we did to your family so that they can receive a better life. And we would have to bind you with a contract for that duration."
*Hic*
"Huh? you are kidding right?" Kiel had never even heard about such figures let alone repeating them. But seeing the smiling face of the man behind him, he knew it was all true.
Seeing Kiel hesitating, the man threw in some more bait.
"And it's not like you can join straight away. First, the candidates have to undergo a yearly test. And depending on the success of the trail they will be trained. Only then can you take part in special missions to help out the money you owe us. After that, it is up to you to stay or not. Though most can't leave after seeing our cutting edge technologies.
But most importantly you may get the chance to find a solution for your body to use magic. Even your sisters. So how about it? Are you interested?"
Kiel pursed his lips. This was definitely a lucrative offer. And he didn't see anything too out of line. But the most important thing was that he was weak and they were even giving him a chance instead of simply cutting him open. Literally cutting him open like in the previous earth.
"I agree"
"Excellent. Glad to know." He put the papers away before reaching into his pocket and rummaging through it. And finally took out a silver colour triangular card.
For a moment Kiel thought that this was the business card model of this world. But it soon changed. Shifting it to the front of Kiel he explained.
"This is the invitation to the Trial Grounds. Press it to your head and you will find all the information about the trial in your mind. Oh and remember this year's Trial is just two weeks from now. So get yourself together before then as your future depends on it."
'I don't have much time left huh?'
The man picked up the papers and his bag and stood up from his seat to leave. Just as he took a few steps away, he turned around smiling at Kiel to take a look at the kid one last time.
" Oh, and little Kid do your best to survive."
"?"
"After all if you die, all our investments would go down the drain. And then your debt would come onto your mother and siblings to pay. Good luck!"
Kiel would have really cursed out at that last sentence but his attention turned out to be somewhere else.
