Chapter 1 - Soft Opening

Tomorrow is a big day for Sheya. She will be launching her very own cafeteria. She spent her day worrying and stressing, not knowing if things will be disastrous and out of control.

" You need to relax girl! Meditate, sleep early and prepare for battle." Karen said.

Karen was her friend from junior high but like most young people, they lost contacts for a long period of time before managing to get in touch earlier that year. She got pregnant at a very young age and because of that, she failed to finish her studies.

She is assigned at the front store, managing the cashier, making sure the correct orders are given to right customers while making sure the pantry is filled and the coffee machine is working.

" Are you sure Mark is coming to work?" Sheya asked while biting her nails. " Yes I can assure you that he will be there right on time. Don't worry, my cousin is a good kid. I told him to keep the place clean and in order all the time". Karen replied.

Sheya checked the menus for the nth time.

" Ok, 5 kinds of cupcakes, 5 kinds cakes, 5 coffees and teas hot/iced/frapped, hot chocolate, 2 kinds of pies, waffles, breads, and the puddings. I think these are enough for now then I will add more goods when the time is right " she said to herself

She sticker to the classic for the sake of time management because she will do everything from scratch all by herself. For the cupcakes, she chose chocolate, red velvet, strawberry, lemon and vanilla flavours. With cakes, still the same chocolate and red velvet, carrot cake and blueberry, strawberry cream cheesecakes. And for the waffles, she prepared varieties of fruit toppings and sprinkles to make these more fun and exciting for people of all ages and genders though she liked hers and drizzled with syrup.
