Chapter 3 - The Meeting

After the day I spoke with Ms. Mica, I ordered Secretary Ida to inform Pierre, Matthew and Danica to come at my office---3pm sharp. I will be excited to hear what are their theories in this case.

(At my office, 3pm sharp)

"Nice to see that all four of us are here. The disappearance case of Mr and Mrs Diana buffled many of us as you know it. "I want to hear your thoughts regarding the case. Who want to start?"

Matthew: Can we know what are the things or stuffs the police retrieve in that car?

"Oh I'm sorry, I forget about that." (I went to the table cabinet where the pictures of objects in the crime scene are)

" The actual images of the crime scene was kept secret for now by anti crime department. Only this time, I can tell you only the description of what it looks like. Base on this written documents handed to me by the Anti Crime department, These are the essential objects retrieved by the police officers in the crime scene:

----a piece of paper with a short written message.

----- an invitation card of an unknown person.

----- a blue wristwatch

" Anti crime cooperative does not specify the description of the actual crime for confidential purposes. I know it's hard to draw a concrete conclusion and analysis with only this evidence, but all I want to hear is what you can help to solve this case?"

( Matthew stood up and talked)

Matthew: " Base on those given descriptions, there is a Scientific Analysis of Handwriting, called graphology. If I can see the actual image of the short message written on the paper, I can probably tell what is the suspect's emotion, behaviour or mood at the moment he or she writes down the short message. It can...."

(Danica interrupted Matthew by raising her hand signaling to pause for a second)

Danica: "Are you saying it is possible to tell the emotions and behaviour of the suspect while committing the crime? How come do you know that the one who is writing is the suspect?"

Matthew: " Base on my 10 years of experience as a psychologist, I interviewed many of the most psychopathic kidnappers throughout the Philippine history. What I've always find that these psychopath kidnappers slash murderers, leave clues before, and even after they commited a crime. Many kidnapper inmates I've talked to get their statement, they always want to feed their fantasy on their head. These individuals are not mentally stable people, so by writing what they've done, they can replicate the fantasy going on their head. since I have no chance to interview the suspect of this disappearance case of Mr and Ms Diana, all I can analyze is the handwriting of the suspect, and draw conclusions about his or her personality. He or she maybe can be the narcissistic type, by using psychological analysis of handwriting, I can fairly tell what the hell is going to his or her head"

Danica: " Yeah I get the point of what you are saying, and I don't want to offend you if that is your perspective on this case. But unlike Mathematics, which is I am expert at, Graphology falls into the category of pseudoscience. I've heard this graphology before, but I am not fully convinced about its foundation. Pseudoscience is not a pure science. A famous theorem on Mathematics is called the Chaos theory. It states that when a system contain complex variables to be considered, small changes can result to a totally different result to the point it is impossible to accurately or even approximately predict what will be the result. As far I look at this case, I have a sense that there are many things that we must be considered. it is very premature to conclude what really happened that midnight to Mr and Mrs Diana. The only variable I have this moment is the approximation time when they are gone, and we all know it is midnight".
