He scanned through the scroll.
It appeared to be a cultivation technique for feline animals with a fire affinity.
More specifically, it was a technique made with the intent of cultivating a species called Inferno Hell Crimson Lion.
From the introduction, it seemed someone caught an infant Inferno Hell Crimson Lion cub from a volcano in the pacific. Being an incredibly rare beast, and being even harder to capture, the man wanted to make a technique that could make his Inferno Lion cub become a highest tier spirit beast.
Whilst in wait for the cub to reach the age to begin cultivating, the man made a technique after studying dozens of fire cultivation methods, for man and beast alike. The technique took into account the characteristics of Inferno Hell Crimson Lions.
The technique was powerful, and was capable of allowing the Lion to reach at least the 9th realm, the Mind and World Fusion Realm, the last of the fusion realms, beyond Mind and Body Fusion and Mind And Soul Fusion Realms.
If he could get the Lion to reach that point, then he could ride its momentum to become a top tier expert.
Unfortunately, before he could finish the technique and raise the cub into a top tier expert, he suffered an untimely death.
It wasn't an honor filled death either.
Apparently some teenager aggravated the cub whilst it was being walked, causing the cub to kill the teenager in an instant and then proceed to maul the man raising him to death.
The man was killed despite being a Mind Body Fusion Cultivator, mostly because he couldn't bear to kill the rare and hard to come by cub he spent years raising.
In his hesitation the cub took him by the throat and killed him.
After that the cub fled and was never seen again, with the man's possessions being taken by his family and his work sold to the Divine Hall.
Hades read the entire history of the technique written in the scroll. He had no idea whose idea it was to write a several introductory paragraph detailing it's history, but it alone took up a tenth of the scroll.
He decided to skip the proceeding paragraphs that described the research process of the technique and how it was completed by someone Hades didn't care enough about to remember.
He finally got to the part of the 9 Lives Inferno Body manual with the actual 9 Lives Inferno Body cultivation method.
Reading carefully, he soon got the gist of it.
The 9 Lives Inferno Body was a technique that harnessed Fire qi to strengthen and reinforce the body, capitalizing on the great strength of the Inferno Hell Crimson Lions.
Hades figured he could work with this, as he himself focused a lot on physical attributes. Even though the wind domain was strong and sharp, and could be considered an elemental attack, it was ultimately the result of the strength and technique of his wings. Even then, the blades of the wind domain could never be sharper than his own claws.
Looking at the circulation method, he furthered his confidence in trying to cultivate two methods at once.
He steadily began to gather worldly essence from the atmosphere. Instead of gathering it to his dantian, where the tyrant qi was sourced, he directed it to the fire gland not far from it.
The energy began to heat up as it circulated through the fire veins rather smoothly.
Suddenly, he felt something in his head snap.
A red qi, different from the tyrant qi exploded out and gathered at his fire gland, circulating in the fire veins, consuming the worldly essence and the fire fluids at once.
It steadily began to change colors into a dark shade of crimson, the color of the Inferno qi described in the manual.
Hades grew exited. His theory was proved true, and he had successfully cultivated another method!
He could feel the fire gland becoming somewhat translucent, taking a form somewhat similar to the center of the tyrant qi system.
The Inferno Qi continued to accumulate in his body.
1st life of the Inferno Body.
2nd life of the Inferno Body.
Then halfway to the third life.
For some reason it progressed extremely rapidly. Was something different in his body? Then it occurred to him that it may be the fire gland's doing. As an organ specifically made to pump what was essentially a highly volatile flammable liquid through his body, the fire veins were extremely resistant and had a high affinity to heat. It thus made the fire Qi flow far smoother.
Finally, he breathed out a breathe of hot air that seemed more like smoke. His body had settled, and the transition period over.
He held his paw out before him and contracted his claws. They came out with a burst of crimson fire.
The claws were coated in a layer of stone melting crimson flame, Inferno fire. It seemed hot, and he could feel the heat, but it did not harm him in the slightest. This was normal, as he had a high fire resistance.
The claws retracted. He should return now.
He could feel that a soul form weapon was created as well. It was a wonder to hold another, at least it was for him.
He wished to test it, but it would be better to do it at his host family's home. He could also test the full extent of the 9 Lives Inferno Body there as well.
His objective fulfilled and curiosity sated he returned the scroll to its previous position and left the Divine Hall decisively. He flew up to the rafters and left without looking back...
