Tyrant looked right, then left, then stared at the small creature, whose species he recently learned was called human.
He was not a fool, and knew that it was referring to him.
"Why are you calling me Xiaohei?" He asked slowly. He did not lose his temper, as he was now stuck with this human, and their lives were bound together.
"That's your new name, do you like it?" It smiles at him, which made him feel uncomfortable, as he had seldom seen such an expression, and more so as it was on a creepy hairless animal.
He then thought about it. 'Xiaohei... xiaohei... xiaohei...' he repeated it in his head and out loud a few times, as if tasting it. Then he widened his eyes and shook his head as if it was wet.
"Nonsense, I, Tyrant Hades, already have a name!" It was only now he remembered, as he doesn't introduce himself often, especially after being thrown into a world full of strangers.
"Really? What's your name?" The small human asked him curiously. It was good that she seemed open to ideas. But then realized what she just asked.
"...Weren't you listening? My name is Tyrant Hades, the strongest beast of the Abyss! This is why they call me the tyrant!" He introduced himself in his own dignified way. Even though the humans haven't the slightest on the significance of his title.
"Doesn't really roll off the tongue, does it? And if they call you tyrant, then it's a title, not your name. You'd be 'the tyrant, Hades", not Tyrant Hades. And right now, you don't look like the strongest of anything." The big human pointed some things about his name he hadn't thought of before.
He couldn't help but be frustrated. Since he arrived in this world, he had to do so much thinking and learning. It was like being a cub all over again. Oh wait, he was one.
"...Fine then, I'll just be Hades then." He didn't want to think anymore, and he was starting to feel hopeless. He was pretty much going blind in this world full of mysterious things. And decided that since they weren't going to kill him, he might as well go along with their whims, no need for making arguments he's pretty sure he'd lose.
"Then Xiaohei will be your nickname! My name is Chen Ling! This is my sister, Chen Yan!" It was only now that the humans introduced themselves. He now no longer needed to call them 'human' or 'strange beast' or 'weird creature' which pretty much describes a lot of things to him.
"Then I'll go finish up dinner, you and... Xiaohei... should get to know each other." The big human, who he now knows as Chen Yan, left to do an activity he hadn't heard of, leaving him alone with the little one, Chen Ling.
"Hi Xiaohei! I'm Chen Ling! My friends call me Lingling. You can call me Ling'er, like my sister!" For some reason Hades couldn't understand, Ling'er introduced herself again. Maybe it was a custom.
"... Hello... Ling'er... my name is Tyr- no, just Hades, and I have no friends. You can call me Xiaohei, the name you've given me." He tried to follow the same format as her own, giving his revamped name and new nickname.
"Nn. I was born and raised here in Songjiang City, and I wish I could go to France one day. Your turn, tell me something about you!" They could both move by now, and it was now on it's stomach with her feet in the air, while Hades laid down with the posture of a dignified lion, head proud in the air. He knew it was pointless to try and kill these humans now.
"I was born and raised in a cave somewhere in the eastern part of the abyssal continent I hail from. When that continent was turned to ashes I fell in deep slumber only to wake up in an unfamiliar new world full of strange life, but my body has regressed into a childlike state. Upon my first expedition, I had fought a pack of small wolves and was defeated. I escaped, passed out from poison, and woke up here." Unsure of what to say, he entailed his origins and how he arrived here.
"...ooh..." It seemed amazed, and it's eyes seemed to sparkle in excitement. She then suddenly refocused and cleared her throat.
"Ahem, I like strawberries and kitties like Xiaohei. I have a lot of friends and also a lot of people who don't like me too. Your turn!" She said the last part with some sorrow, but quickly regained clarity. She seemed intent on taking the lead in this conversation.
"What's a 'friend'?" He was not familiar with this term.
"A friend is someone you hang out with and have fun with in your free time!" It explained enthusiastically.
"...I like strong opponents and eating the hearts of my enemies. I have no friends. I have no enemies. They are all dead. I killed them all." He attempted to follow Ling'er's answer format, but it still sounded different for some reason.
"You killed your friends?" She seemed to know the significance of death, which he found strange due to the lack of blood aura on her, which signifies that she hasn't killed anything before. Maybe she was just pretending to know what about death.
"No. Just the enemies, I had no friends. I did not travel in a pack or herd like some others." He explained his social life very frankly in the sense that there wasn't one.
"Oh." She didn't say anything at that.

"My favorite thing to do is play games and sew!"
"The activities I enjoyed most were chasing weaklings who run on sight and collecting the skulls of my enemies."
"...My parents passed away, I only live with my sister, she takes good care of me."
"My parents had fallen in battle, I killed and ate my siblings to survive."
"...What I do when I have free time is watch t.v. And cultivate."
"In my free time I wandered the desolate wastelands of the abyss and eat the stockpiled corpses in my den."
"...My toughest problem growing up was bullies."
"My toughest problem growing up was hiding beneath the hard ground for days, waiting to catch one prey so I could live another day."
"... My happiest memory was when my parents had gotten me a big cake when I was little. It was delicious."
"My happiest memory was personally tearing the throats of the ones who killed my parents."

"... This Abyss place sounds fun..." she honestly didn't really know a lot about what he talked about.
"... Does it?" He too, had no clue what she was talking about.
