Everyone that was inside the guild building had seen what had happened and started laughing at what Hiro had declared; they didn't believe him cause no one other than Elaine and the receptionist had seen Hiro's results on the crystal ball. No one was crazy enough to believe that anybody could defeat the old Demon King but they hadn't expected for that very person to be right in front of them declaring it and trying to join the adventurers guild, and that's exactly what happened.
"My father always spoke about you. He always told me you were great. I just didn't know you were the same Tachibana-sama my dad spoke of. From what my father told me, I thought you would be older. I didn't know you were so young and talented." Elaine said ecstatically. Hiro simply laughed, "I'm not that great. I'm your average man, just a tad stronger. It would be expected after nonstop training. Right?" "That's true!" Elaine replied.
The receptionist stared at Hiro, "I'm sorry I didn't treat you as a hero. I really didn't know." She bowed in an apologizing manner. Hiro sighed and told both Elaine and the receptionist, "Both of you just call me Tachibana and we'll be friends. Elaine, I had already told you I liked you and I don't want to be out of your reach. I'm going to take you adventuring, and I'm personally going to teach you. You can brag about that to any friends." Both girls nodded in agreement. "By the way, my name is Sanae. If we are going to friends you need to know my name." the receptionist said.
Hiro, Elaine and Sanae were happily conversing when the guild master suddenly arrived. He came in a rush cause he had heard rumors that supposedly someone claiming to be the former hero had arrived at his branch building of the adventurers guild. He walked in and Sanae conversing with two people; he walked up to Sanae and told her about what he'd heard. When the guild master finished speaking Sanae simply pointed her finger at Hiro and Elaine and said, "These are the those two people in the rumors you heard." The guild master started laughing and said, "This is the former hero. Yeah right, I'll be the judge of that. Besides, I'm sure the former hero is older than this brat." "I'm 23 and I am the former hero. I defeated the old Demon King when I was 20 years old. I know I'm not old, but I'm probably stronger than you'll ever be." Hiro mocked the guild master trying to anger him. The guild master snarled and pointed at an empty room in the back. "Let's see if what you say is true." Hiro looked at the room, "We are going to fight. Hahaha! I can't wait. I'll take it easy on you and just use a portion of my strength." Hiro walked to the room with a smile on his face. When Elaine and Sanae saw Hiro smiling they realized that he was angry. It was a cold smile that people usually showed when slaying a beast.
