The journey to the hospital took less than thirty minutes. It took a while before they were attended to. At the hospital, Ifeoma and Bimpe saw nurses and doctors running up and down the hall like someone exercising. They later learnt that a ceasearan section was taking place. A baby was about to be brought to the world.
Bimpe hid her pains and started to rejoice with the new mother to be because it reminded her of when she had her first daughter, Erica. Bimpe could easily count the butterflies in her tummies. The interesting part was that her marriage was still as beautiful as a freshly baked cake. But then, all of a sudden, the freshly baked cake fell on the shore of a beach, filled with sand all over.
Bimpe was gradually leaving the hospital premises to another world. The pain and bitterness in her heart continued to rage like a storming sea, sailing her to a place detrimental to her.
In no time, a petite, fair young nurse came to attend to Bimpe where she was sitting. With her was a file. She requested for Bimpe's personal information. Bimpe answered all of her questions Later, she was brought to a room where her blood pressure was checked and other examinations was done. The nurse later led her to a room where she could relax, if possible, sleep.
Ifeoma was with her all step of the way. She was there to remind her that everything will be fine.
In no time, the nurse was back with a doctor. The tall, black and charming doctor explained to her that her blood pressure was high and that she's been suffering from severe abdominal pain, vomiting saliva with clumps of blood, bleeding from her nose and so on. Then it hit Bimpe that this time, Femi's belt has done more harm than good.
The doctor went further to explain that she'll be placed on some drugs to regulate her blood pressure and that a CT scan will be done to see how bad it is. If it gets worse, she'll have to undergo surgery.
Bimpe's heart skipped at the sound of surgery. She bursted into tears. She was consoled by the doctor. In the snap of fingers, Ifeoma has gone to make payments for Bimpe's hospital bill and in no time, she has started receiving treatment.
"Femi must suffer for this" Ifeoma angrily said. She then placed a call to her lawyer. She explained Bimpe's predicament to her and the lawyer promised to get Femi arrested within 48 hours. Thankfully the Lagos State government doesn't joke with matters concerning domestic violence.
Bimpe was fast asleep. It must have been the effects of the drugs on her.
The next morning, while at the hospital. Bimpe woke up to see a familiar figure. Femi again? Watch out!
