Unending cars rushed through the same dark empty road every night, gearing all their engines and grinding their wheels. "Creeeek!" shouts the tormented friction. All keeps running. Just running.
The heedless lady beside the window just stares at it every night. Lives with it every day. Following the same routine of work-market-home, piling the emptiness of her soul. "How unfair and boring it is", she uttered to herself as the kettle holloed a whistle.
"Went to school and worked so hard to finish then suffers a lifetime for a continuous job."
She stirred her coffee. "It only feels like surviving life, not living it."
Then suddenly, a loud knock on the door disrupts the contemplation.
"Karin! Open up!", a man's voice bawled out.
"Make it fast!"
She ran to the door, pleading her panicking fingers as she open the locks.
"Karin!", Amanda gave her an immediate as the door opened. Jacob was also there, cleaning himself from the red velvet stains on his shirt.
"What the hell happened?", she asked.
Amanda had a deep breath as she looks at Jacob. "He did it again." she responded.
"Who did what?"
"Uncle hurt mom, we couldn't watch it anymore", Jacob explained. "We already it reported to the police"
"And mom?", Karin.
"She's in the hospital.", Amanda.
