Clare is now inside the stock room and from there, she can already hear the noises from the red train.
Not just some normal noises but screams from mad men, stuff crashing, cheerings like they're watching some wrestling shows–more like violent noises.
She closed her eyes, silently prayed for her friend to be safe. "We have to get out of here together" she mumbled with so much hope in her voice.
She stayed still while peeking at the other side, waiting for the perfect moment to barge in.
"Good thing you stayed still, young girl. You finally realized your mistake" her eyes widened when someone spoke behind her.
She turned to see more guardians after her. She shivered in fear, "Stay away from me!" she shouted as she stepped back towards the exit.
One of the guardians grinned and shook his head, "I'm afraid we can't follow that, dear. You have to come with us. We promise to take you back in your car gently" he said.
Clare didn't waste any more time and turned her back and opened the door. The guardians panicked and ran to her but they were too late. Clare opened the entrance door of the red train–more like hell.
It revealed people, no– souls that were fighting each other. Clare's jaw dropped when she saw how messy the car is. Either she look to the left or the right, even on the ground, they were beating each other up.
She groaned when a hand grabbed her hair so tight. "Arghhh!" she exclaimed.
"You are going with me, missy" a man whispered in her ear. She glared at him but the man just grinned. "Hold her" the man said with a low tone like he was afraid to disturb someone. "Make sure not to get their attention"
Then two guardians held both of her arms and she struggled. "Be good" the guardian holding her right arm said. She smirked and, "Ahhhh!!!" let out a high-pitched scream that caught all the attentions in that train.
The souls stopped fighting and turned their head to them. The guardians froze and their jaw dropped. "Who did that?!" a black american man asked in anger, with his hand clutched on his opponent's collar.
Clare grinned and replied, "I did! Help me! They're trying to kidnap me!" she pleaded which is actually a total act. The black american man let go of his opponent and cracked his knuckles, "I don't know why I'm so angry right now but all I want to do the whole day is beat you up!" he shouted. The others assembled behind him with their foreheads creased, knuckles cracked, and grumbling.
The guardians gulped and stepped back. Clare felt the guardians holding her loosen their grips with fear. Her eyes scanned the whole room and saw a familiar face.
There stood Sarah with a smile on her lips. She smiled from ear to ear and ran to her, pushing the souls in her way but they didn't bother. The mad souls' attention were at the guardians.
"H-Hey, Let's get out of here" one of the guardian said to his friend but he didn't recieve a reply since his friend was too scared to move. "Oh I don't know why but I hate what you're wearing" the muscled man said as he cracked his neck.
"Oh, Sarah! Are you okay?!" Clare asked worriedly while holding Sarah's shoulder. Sarah shook her head and smiled, "Took you long enough to get through, huh?". Clare sighed in relief and hugged her friend, "Oh, I'm so glad to see you!" she sobbed.
Sarah was about to hug her back when an enormous vibration shook the whole train. All of them lose their balance and dropped to the ground.
It took a few seconds before the shaking stopped. "W-What was that?" Clare asked as she held her head from pain. She and Sarah were hugging to protect each other. "I-I don't know" Sarah replied and Clare helped her up.
Clare look through the window and shock was written all over her face. "C-Clare... what's wrong?" Sarah asked with a perplexed face.
Clare pointed the view outside the window with her mouth gaping, "I-Is that a city below the sea?" she mumbled. Sarah hurriedly stood and watched. Her eyes also widened.
"I-It's the Sea of the Living!" the guardian shouted while pointing it. After that disastrous quake, they finally reached the route where the Sea of the Living lies. As the train moves, the wonders of the Earth were seen below the crystal clear water.
"C-Clare, we have to get out of here!" Sarah shouted that snapped Clare's thoughts. Clare nodded and stood up, "L-Let's go..." she said. "Hey! Come back here!" the guardians shouted and wanted to chase after them but the souls stood up again with anger. "We are not done with you yet!" a woman growled and the fight continued.
Sarah opened the exit door and there, they can see the crystal clear water of the sea upclose, even the city lights below it. "This is so beautiful" Clare whispered while staring below. They were both holding the metal bar to avoid themselves from falling.
They were so awed while staring at the breathtaking view. "It looks like an illusion. I can't believe what I am seeing right now" Clare mumbled that made Sarah nodded in agreement.
"Just what do you think you two are doing?" their thoughts snapped when a familiar voice spoke. The owner of the voice they wanted to see the least. The owner of the voice they avoided the most.
The owner of the voice that can hinder their plan in escaping. "P-Petra..." Sarah mumbled under her breath as her voice quiver with terror.
There stood the Guardian Angel of the Gates with its pure white wings opened on her back. Her caramel-colored hair swayed with the wind and so as her beautiful dress.
She was glaring at the two souls that were trying to escape. "Go back or suffer?" she said with a dangerous tone.
