With the force of the water receding, Chalchiuhtlicue began to control the filling of the lake while all the gods continued with their path in the construction of the lining in the canal.

The gods that remained in place were Ares and Huitzilopochtli, who had to continue controlling the flow of the sea until Chalchiuhtlicue gave them the order to withdraw.

In the furnaces of the workshop, Hephaestus and Admes were working shirtless while they had their torsos wholly exposed.

They had to increase production as much as possible to fill the demand they were being forced to create.
