I was in the 11th grade. I had just moved to the buzzing state of California. My dad and I moved up for a fresh start after my mom died. I was aimlessly walking down the school hallways looking for the office. I never liked first days. Their always so awkward...like me. I finally found the office after about ten minutes. The secretary was just typing her life away. She looked young. I walk up to her.
"Hi, I'm new here and I am here to get my schedule." I said.
"Sure! Just tell me your name." She said.
"My name is Heavenly Winters." I responded.
"Okay,give me a few minutes to give you everything you need. By the way my name is Ms. Brooks and if you need anything just come here." She replied.
After about five minutes she gave me my schedule, locker number and code with a map of the school.
"Thank You!" I said as I walked out to find my locker. After getting what I needed for 2nd period I headed off to find the chemistry room.
