I still remember the first time that we met. It was 3 o'clock in the afternoon and I was playing with my dolls. A lazy but was already a productive afternoon for me.
A ring from our doorbell caught the attention of my mom but I was too busy to notice. Only did I hear my mom's exclaim of welcoming her friend did I pause from my playtime.
Then at that moment was the first time I saw you. Because I was short at that time, it was you who I notice first.
You were hiding behind your mom's long skirt. Shy and curios, you let your eyes wander around our house. I think it was the first time where I get to appreciate eyes.
Yours were a pair of sparkly hazel brown full of curiosity and innocence. My thoughts were cut off when my mom called me from the living room.
Mom called your mom her childhood friend and encouraged me to call her Auntie Yen. Then Auntie Yen introduced you to me.
"Hello, my name is Rein," I held out my left hand to you instead of my right. Mom has always told me to always use my right but I was bringing Dori my doll.
You stood still behind your mom which I hear the older ladies chuckle. After Auntie Yen urged you to tell your name to me, you finally conceded.
"Hi Rein, my name is Seven," with a cute voice, you held out your right hand to shake mine.
It was probably the weirdest handshake of my life, but I guess that was the most memorable of all handshakes we did.
Now that we got older, I guess it's another hello.
