Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Kiana looked around at her surroundings. It was a relatively small room with the bare basics. The walls were a washed-out white and decorated by a ceiling fan that rotated lazily above her head. The heat was oppressive, the sunlight was painfully bright, and the floor was a slightly warmed wood. There was a white closet no bigger than waist height and it looked like it had seen better days, with the paint chipped at multiple places and pieces of wood missing in certain places not to mention that there were scratch marks all over. Kiana pulled her face in disgust. She assessed her surroundings as she sat on the bed the picture of elegance and grace even with her face twisted in disgust she still managed to look like a peerless beauty, like a queen looking down on her subjects. Kiana sat on the edge of the bed and decided on her best course of action if she thought about it her mission was to make the life of the main characters in this world miserable. She scoffed in derision, she who had come from a different world by a being that was solely created to spread mischief, pain, misery and hatred throughout the worlds needed small, weak and miserable creatures like her to do its bidding, how funny that was. Although Kiana herself by any normal standards was no weakling nor was she miserable or in need of pity …In reality, she had the potential for greatness but because of cowardice and greed of others her life was changed and she was dragged into the darkness not that she knows this herself… but that is another story for later. She plotted inside her head how she would go about wreaking havoc on this world when the door slowly creaked open on unoiled hinges making a terrible screeching sound that obviously bellied the intentions of the other party to be quiet. Kiana waited for the other party to enter before she spoke "hello! Who are you?" she asked in a commanding tone while simultaneously putting on her mask of innocence. The stranger turned around and squeaked in surprise and spoke in a very timid and quiet voice" h-h-h-hello, the m-m-my name is flora." She was a tiny little thing with mouse-brown hair, oval-shaped eyes and a very petite body she had a small beauty mark just bellow her mouth and her lips where cupid bow pink. Kiana lifted an eyebrow and snorted inside her mind and imagined rolling her eyes. This girl at first looks very quiet and timid but she would not be fooled by her innocent act, did she think she was stupid if this girl really wanted to be nice and wanted to be quiet she would not be talking and fooling around right Infront of her door and flirting with whatever man was outside. But Kiana just faked ignorance and smiled and said, "nice to meet you my name is Myra." Now I know what you are thinking, that is not my real name! why am I lying? and my reason is… technically speaking I am not supposed to be on this world I am for better or worse an unknown entity I do not actually exist to this universe conscience. So, there you have it I am nobody in this world just like the world I came from, the world I grew up. I am not needed nor am I wanted, I am just a pawn and expendable. If I were to die in either of these worlds I would not be mourned. Huh! I guess I am pathetic, a derisive smile on my face well if that is the case I might as well have fun and live recklessly because either way, I will not be alive for too long. I am the bad guy. So, let me reintroduce myself properly I am Kiana, and in this world, I am the villainess of this story. I am here to create chaos and ruin the lives of everyone around me… that is my job. Looking at flora with an innocent smile and said "Myra Williams King"

Laughing with flora over a silly story involving strawberries a dog and questionably baked pie. When the door to my room once again opened to reveal an old man with a long salt and pepper beard and kind brown eyes and a neatly braided dark brown hair. Although he was lean and looked feeble, he filled the room with so much authority and power that it made it difficult to breathe. Kiana decided that she would stay out of this man's eyes until she became stronger because it was clear that he could kill her with just the tip of his pinkie finger. Basically, he was a threat to her succeeding in this mission. The man laughed in a deep booming voice and said to flora "would you be so kind as to leave the room miss flora while I have a word with our guest, please" he smiled. Although he posed this as a question to flora his tone made it clear it was by no means a question but an unconditional order. Flora responded in a very quiet and scared manner it was as if she were a different person altogether and quickly scurried out of the room and shot Myra an apologetic smile over her shoulder just as she left the room. Myra placed a nervous expression on her face and as if she were forcing herself to speak said to the unknown man in a very quiet voice "hh-hello sir, my name is Myra and it is nice to meet you. Thank you for helping me and giving me shelter and hospitality." She said haltingly as in this world her background is that of a princess who was kidnapped and because of her kidnappers abuse she lost her memory temporarily. The man observed her quietly for a while before kindly telling her to sit and that he would not harm her and only wanted to speak to her. So, Myra smiled in relief and naively asked the man if he could help her. She told the man her story of how she doesn't remember much only that she woke up in a basement that smelled of death and decay and feces and that she felt overwhelming fear and unknown people came to give her a meal a day and abused her and on more than one occasion nearly raped her and how one day she saw an opportunity to escape and so she waited for the right time when the guards where drunk from alcohol and she managed to knock the guard out with a stone that she had painstakingly pried form the wall that smelled as if it was soaked in urine and blood. Slowly dying from dehydration and becoming weaker each day from poor meals she was getting desperate so when she successfully pried the stone from the wall she immediately manipulated the guard once drunk to come into her cage by making suggestive comments and showing some of her body and when the guard was successfully inside and was not paying attention to her hands she struck the guard on the head and successfully knocked him out and she grabbed for the keys at his waist and fumbled for a few moments before successfully getting the lock to open and free her wrists and ankles from the chains. She immediately hurried out of the cell and looked around and rushed to the exit of the room when she heard voices and she stopped going in that direction realizing that she didn't have much time before the people in the room came to check what was going on so she looked around desperately trying to find an exits and soon moonlight filtered into the dungeon room and she found her exit she hurriedly climbed up to the window and saw that it was about a few feet off the ground and she was hesitating jump when she heard one of the guards beginning to enter the room so she took a deep breath then jumped and she tumbled down to the ground before coming to a stop and worried that the guard would alert the rest of the people she quickly began to run as fast as she could and so she ran into the forest and she kept on running until she couldn't any longer and then she started to walk unaware of where she went. A few days passed with her waking up after a few hours rest and beginning to walk for the entire day without stop until nightfall. Then resting in the evening and doing that for a few days until she couldn't any longer and then she fainted and then she woke up in this place. The man was silent throughout this whole story and quietly listened to the poor girl. Once she had finished speaking Myra was in tears from her "ordeal" the man sighed in pity for the poor girl and said to her that she could stay for however long she wanted and that she was in a school called haven and it was for young children to learn the various arts and become stronger and that until she gained her memory she will be enrolled and her expenses would be paid by the school as part of a special enrolment program the school ran on a yearly bases. Myra was so grateful that she once again fell into tears and thanked the man profusely for his generosity. The man smiled kindly and said to get some rest and once she was healed, she would start classes after she did an enrolment test. Once the man left Myra scoffed and wiped the "tears" from her face and smiled coldly and began to plan her future and the downfall of haven academy as well as the main characters of this story.
