Monster.
It has always been difficult to determine the line between a true monster and a dangerous creature. Humans always loved to call everything that scares them monsters, yet even them didn't know what it meant.
In the end we are the ones who decided what is a Monster and what's not. The problem is that you can't never know when a Monster might appear.
An Oni is a monster, a creature that preys on weaker beings to feed on them. An Oni is dangerous, but is it to everyone ?
Given what is happening in front of the frontier between the Holy Land and the Western Kingdom, it seems that not everyone consider an Oni to be a threat.

"Missed again~!"
The mysterious man that previously killed the last soldiers in the forest, was facing the Oni and faring quite well. No matter how powerful this gigantic, blue-skinned monster was, it didn't even grazed the man. Punches and kicks destroyed the trees nearby, deforming the landscape around them.
Yet the man seemed to be able to dodge everything. It wasn't even that he could teleport or something, he was just moving so fast the Oni couldn't follow him with his eyes.
"Wow! You nearly got me there.....Nah just kidding~!" Teased the man, dodging another slash that came his way. The Oni thought he had more chances to kill the man if he used his broken blade, but it seemed to be for naugh.
The man smirked and jumped far away from the Oni before grabbing a stone from the ground.
"REFLEX!!" Shouted the man before throwing the stone at the Oni, it looked like it was shot from a cannon as it crossed the distance faster than an arrow and pierced one of the Oni's eyes.
"RAWR!!!!!"
Lightning appeared all around the Oni, the spikes on it's body grew while the eye that had been pierced started to heal at a frightening pace.
"Well...Seems like you decided to take me seriously." Said the man, now deadly serious. An ominous feeling hit the Oni as it saw a dangerous blackish aura coming out of the man.
"You better go all out....If you don't want to die."
*ROAR!*
The Oni charged at the man, lightning coating it's left arm as it went for a lariat. The man dodged the attack by crouching at the last moment, before hitting the Oni's massive body with a leg sweep which surprisingly made the monster fall.
The Oni's eyes widened when it saw that the man had it's broken blade in his hands. It tried to move but the man stopped it by kicking it in the stomach, really hard.
"I never knew an Oni could use a weapon. Guess things changed after all those years. Not like it change anything, but you should know something.....I've got a bad habit. For some reasons, everytime i battle against an ennemy who wields a weapon, i can't stop myself from stealing it from him and kill him with it. You don't mind if i do that, do you~?" Asked the man. He clenched the blade in his hand, actually cutting himself and brought it down.
The Oni's body trembled before it stopped moving. It's eyes closed as a blue flame escaped it's body, floating towards the man's extending hand.
"What a beautiful soul for a creature often called an ennemy of Humanity..." The soul entered the man's palm, he closed his hand and brought it to his chest.
"May you rest in peace...I assure you that where you're going, you won't ever be judged or assaulted for your differences." The man didn't move for a few seconds before he got up, and walked to one of the soldiers corpse that somehow wasn't blown away by the fight.
The man crouched again and searched the corpse, after a few seconds he found what he was searching for.
"A letter...From Commander....Patrolling around the forest and killing any northerners soldiers if there are any in the perimeter. My, my...This letter is quite interesting, i think i'll keep it, not that you need it, right ?" Asked the man, smiling at the corpse as if it was gonna answer him. He continued to read the letter, his eyes widening slightly when he saw a certain name at the bottom of the letter.
"Well........Humans still seems to love Wars don't they ?" Said the man, before he put the letter in his robe and walked away. He seemingly disappeared in the forest, his robe floating in the wind as was his hair.

(Capital of the Northern Kingdom, in a cathedral)
A cloaked figure entered the cathedral by loudly kicking the doors, drawing the attention of every people. The figure turned it's head towards the front of the cathedral and it walked towards a certain man, dressed in such rich clothing that he had to be atleast a noble.
"M-My Prince, we are in the middle of a prayer, you can't-" A man tried to stop the cloaked figure, he was dressed the same as the other priests, but contrarily to them his attire was much richer.
"Archpriest, i know that my demeanour is quite disrecpectful.....But do i look like i give a fuck about your damn prayer ?!" Asked the prince, his voice so loud that it shocked all the people present in the cathedral. His eyes narrowed at the man in the front, who still hadn't moved.
"Father, i know that you usually don't care about i have to say.....But this time....AHAHAHA!! THIS TIME I THINK EVEN YOU WILL LIKE WHAT I HAVE TO TELL YOU!!!" Yelled the prince. The man in the front, who was quite obviously the King, didn't acknowledged the words of his son, yet everyone knew he was listening.
"...Every single damn nations announced that we somehow are the ones responsible for the pillar of light that was shot in the Holy Land. They all demand answers from us, but that's not the most interesting....We did nothing, and yet they say that we are the responsibles.....Which means.....WHICH MEANS THAT THEY ARE ALL GONNA REJECT THE FAULT ON EVERYONE ELSE!!! HAHAHAH!!!!" Shouted the prince, he ignored the gasps that came from every single person in the cathedral and smirked when he saw that his father was trembling.
The King got up, smiled widely and got up. The man's face was actually quite uncommon, as he had a short, perfectly trimmed red beard, a sharp nose, some cuts and some wrinkles that gave him the appearence of a war veteran. His hair were hidden by the way too big golden crown he had on his head.
The man turned around and opened his eyes, his blue eyes with green slits.
".....Seems like we might be in for another Holy War!"
