Nova's pov
It's been weeks since I got here . everything seems to be working for me ,under control, that's how I like my life ,without any change, without any disturbance, just like I planned . I have been doing the class monitor role efficiently with the help of lara and Aurther . Teacher Sam is less annoying than before .It's not difficult to control a class full of scholarship students. They all have similar personality, meek , obedient, intelligent enough to know what's better for them and wasting time is not an option for us .We all know this opportunity is once in a life time chance, and we have to grab every aspect of it.
After all the school work, I have to attend the debate practice sessions, which last for a good four to five hours. The boy Mike annoys the hell out of her. From the very first day he didn't like her, he won't let go of any chance to remind her that she is a needy poor scholarship student who can only study here thanks to his parents donations .The boy is so arrogant about his wealth that he wont let go of a single chance to her about the price of every single clothing article he wears , the imported stationery he use , the food and list goes on.
Just yesterday, Mike belittled me throughout the practice, making snide comments about my clothes, intelligence, and family background. I tried to keep my head down and focus on the task at hand, but it was difficult with Mike's constant barrage of insults. Finally, Emilly had had enough. "Why do you have to be so mean, Mike?" she blurted out, surprising even me. "What do you get out of it?" Mike just laughed. "I don't have to explain myself to you, or her. I'm just having a little fun." But I could see the insecurity and fear lurking behind his arrogant facade, and I knew that his need to put others down was a way of making himself feel better. I felt a twinge of pity for him, but also a sense of determination. I am going to work twice as hard as anyone else on the team and prove to Mike, and everyone else, that I am just as capable and deserving as they are.
They mentally depletes me .Every time I return to dorm after arguing for hours, Lara says I look like a soldier who's been tortured by the enemy .It was a big mistake to join the debate team, but it's ok just a few more days after the competition I am done. I usually spend my nights studying as weekends are occupied by the part time jobs. These days I hardly get to sleep for more than four hours ...max five.
Now Looking into the mirror all I see is a zombie with anger issues.
Ahh, I grabbed my hair as i looked into the mirror.I need the control back in my life. It's OK nova, it's just the beginning you will adjust to it.
Today is Saturday I got ready for my bakery shop .

Bakery shop
Nova sighed as the customer in front of her continued to complain about the price of the croissants. She was used to dealing with difficult customers in her part-time job at the bakery, but this one was particularly stubborn. "I'm sorry, sir, but the price is clearly marked on the menu," she said for the third time. The customer scowled at her. "I don't care about the menu. I want a discount." Nova felt her patience wearing thin, but she knew that her boss valued good customer service above all else. "I understand that you're unhappy with the price, sir, but unfortunately, I can't give you a discount. Is there anything else I can help you with?" The customer grumbled and eventually paid for his order, but not before leaving a mess on the counter and a sour taste in Nova's mouth. As she cleaned up the crumbs and wiped down the counter, she reminded herself that this was just a temporary job, and that she was working hard to achieve her goals.
She took a deep breath and put on a fake smile, ready to serve the next customer with the same level of professionalism, no matter how difficult they might be.Working at bakery was not that hard except for few difficult customers, she can even study and do her assignments between lunch breaks . The owner is kind old lady , occasionally she will gave her leftover cake, which Lara loves .
Nova finished her shift at the bakery and quickly bid goodbye to her co-workers. She had to rush to her second job at a nearby bbq restaurant, and she didn't want to be late as the old man is very petty . As she walked out of the bakery, she checked her watch and saw that she only had ten minutes to get to the restaurant. She broke into a jog, her backpack bouncing on her shoulders as she weaved through the crowded streets. She could feel the sweat starting to bead on her forehead, and she wished she had time to freshen up before her shift. But she knew that every minute counted, and she couldn't afford to be tardy. As she arrived at the restaurant, she took a deep breath and tried to calm her racing heart. She knew that the next few hours would be a whirlwind of taking orders, serving food, and dealing with customers, but she was determined to do her best. She pushed open the door and walked into the bustling restaurant, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
